If you're doing the Katy Trail, Chelsea Corner needs to be your post-walk plan. A few of my work friends had been recommending this place for a while, and we finally made it happen on a Sunday brunch run. The location is a bonus, close enough to the trail that we parked once and made a full morning of it. We got there close to opening, and with World Cup later that afternoon the wait was nonexistent. Good timing on our part. The vibe inside is cool and laid back, exactly what you want after a morning outside. Service was friendly from the jump, and the bar clearly knows what they're doing. They make a great Carrajillo, which for me is a non-negotiable bonus. On to the food. I went with the Eggs Benedict and they were top tier, great flavor, well made, and came out fast. My wife got the jalapeño biscuits and gravy, and I'm genuinely glad she did because I was torn between that and what I ordered. I ended up getting bites of both, which was the right outcome for everyone. Both were phenomenal. This one is an easy add to the rotation. The trail, the food, the Carrajillo, it all works together. Chelsea Corner is one of those spots you pick to appease the group because you know they'll have at least 1 thing in their menu that each person will like. I've been here once before a few years back and the sentiment has held true since then. We were looking for a place to get brunch and Chelsea provides a waitlist in their website, so when we saw it didn't show any time on the estimate portion we decided to go check them out without adding our names (what's the point if there's no wait, right?). We walked in only 5 minutes after I'd look at that waitlist and were told they actually DID have a 30min wait. I pointed out the issue with their website and they just said it was normal, and I was also confused because there were plenty of open tables all around. We sat at the bar and not even 3 mins later we got a text saying our table was ready, and we just laughed as we walked back up to the hostess. The space is laid out in a way that seemed to cut down on the overall noise which was nice, and the seats were comfortable. We were sat inside and I could see that there was further seating in an outdoor area that also looked cute. Our drinks and food were pretty good. Nothing mind-blowing, but very reasonably priced for what you get and the dishes had good portion sizes. We left more than satisfied! Our server was nice but overall kind of slow, especially towards the end. It took a while to be able to request our checks so we could pay and head out. We'll keep this place in mind for the future because of the food variety and the prices. Definitely recommend calling ahead of time and not trusting their online waitlist estimates. read more

Chelsea corner was PACKED on Galentine's day. They had a special event I missed but was able to secure a spot in some comfy seats. The shrimp firecracker was mellow and decent shrimp and the fries were nice. They were good for some small bites. I need to give a shout-out to their pomegranate margarita, I struggle to find a drink I like because I don't like drinks too heavy on the alcohol but not too sweet either and this hits all the right spots. Every now and again, when I'm not rotting around the house dressed as Adam Sandler I'll venture out to a new spot. It's all part of my relocation acclimation process. When my bff comes to town I always try to pick fun spots to visit in hopes he'll somehow fall in love with Texas and move here too. After dragging him to the Dallas Marathon expo, we hit Chelsea Corner for some drinks/bites. I started with the holiday mistletoe manhattan and we shared the buffalo chicken dip and sampler sliders. We snagged two stools at the bar because we are super low maintenance and most often totally fine to grab bar seats vs waiting on a table- especially when we're hungry. Came for happy hour, the Hugo spritz was delicious. Light and refreshing, a perfect patio drink. The dip trio was classic and I loved their tortilla chips, warm and crispy. My favorite of the dip trio was the queso. The chicken Caesar wrap I was excited for, but it was not my favorite. I wish it was more chopped and mixed together, and had a big more dressing. Took my parents here for Sunday morning brunch and I don't think we could've picked a better spot. Between the main room/bar, outdoor patio and garden room (where we sat) there's a space for every person and occasion. The Breakfast Sandwich was delicious, but if I went back, I'd have to try either the Hangover Skillet (what my brother got) or the Harvest Bowl (what my dad got). The short braised rib was cooked to perfection, potatoes were creamy, the carrots were a great pairing with the braised rib meal and the burger was very tasty. The mini lobster rolls are to die for. This is a very warm, cozy, bar like restaurant. They food there is pretty good and our server was really friendly. The accommodated a large party really well and everyone seemed to enjoy their drinks. The thing for me that puts it above an average 3 stars is the ambiance. It really does feel high end is is tucked away in uptown. They do offer complimentary valet parking, but it is limited. When it runs out, parking elsewhere may be a little difficult. I simply LOVE when restaurants take the holidays seriously and Chelsea Corner is definitely one of them! It was date night and I had stumbled across their insta post advertising their christmas movie nights and I immediately sent it to my boyfriend! Plans were immediately made to go watch Die Hard! Lol! As soon as we got there we were taken to the patio where the movie is shown and the entire ambiance throughout the restaurant is decorated in a chic christmas decor theme! The most beautiful white and gold color palette really adds a level of beauty to the ambiance! First things first, our waiter was amazing! He was so attentive especially because we were the only ones on the patio! Yes...we were the only ones who decided to see the Christmas movie Die Hard lol! For food we opted for a pizza and their buffalo bites! I am being quite honest when I say that this is some of the best crafted pizza we have ever eaten! We tried the hot honey pizza the last time we came and tried the Barnyard this time around and O M G! It was so so great! The buffalo bites are also a hit for us, mainly because they serve a lot of bites and not just 5-6 like most places! Of course, we couldn't leave without trying their festive drinks! My boyfriend enjoyed a hot peppermint tea while I got to try their sugar cookie martini and their Espresso Manhattan! The Sugar cookie martini definitely took the cake! 10/10! We stopped by Chelsea Corner in Dallas after a wedding, and it was the perfect choice to end the night. The place has a cozy, laid-back vibe but still feels nice enough for a dinner out. We started with the smash burger sliders and spinach artichoke dip both were seriously good. The sliders were juicy and full of flavor, and the dip came with both chips and this soft, warm bread that was so good we could've made a meal out of it alone. For entrées, I tried the Drunken Hash Brown Skillet, which was cheesy, crispy, and just the right amount of indulgent. Met up with some girlfriends and it was about 1.5 hours waitlist. They will not take reservations unless it's a party or 7 or more. We didn't mind waiting at first cause we could walk around and do other things but I think we were bumped down to 2 hours wait. Table was still dirty when we finally sat. Bacon crumbs and avocado smeared and grease. It took a while for someone to clean it and I felt the server was rushing us. They forgot silverware by the time the food came. I was a little disappointed with Chelsea Corner in Dallas. I think it was the combination of misdirected expectations and just bad timing. I came for breakfast and didn't see much on the menu that interested me. I had the avocado toast and it was tasty but light. The sandwich was open face on moist and slightly sweet toast. It came with a fresh field salad on the side. No complaints, just missing that wow factor. I have a sneaky suspicion that Chelsea is either better to be at during lunch and dinner or I just came on a day when the breakfast menu didn't have a great selection. The Yelp reviews are in Chelsea's favor for some reason so you should at least pay a visit to see if you like something. read more

Went to Chelsea Corner and accidentally ordered enough food for a small birthday party. No regrets. We started with drinks -- I had the spicy pomegranate margarita, which somehow managed to be both refreshing and slightly aggressive. In a good way. The sangria was also great, in that "I could drink three of these and still pretend I'm fine" kind of way. For appetizers, we did chips and salsa, guacamole, and queso, because we're professionals. The guac was fresh, the salsa had a little kick, and the queso was yummy! For mains, we had the braised short ribs and Dario's chicken. The short ribs were fall-apart tender and packed with flavor -- like they've been simmering since the Obama administration. The chicken was juicy, crispy, and clearly seasoned by someone who knows what they're doing. Makayla was our server. Super friendly, totally on it, and somehow managed to time every check-in perfectly, like she had a sixth sense for when we were ready for more food. I'm not sure what it typically looks like but right now it has a Christmas pop up going on and every time that I've been the tables, bar and all the space around the bar is also full. There is an option to join the waitlist online or by calling- I have found that the times provided are not accurate and even when you arrive, you will continue to have a wait. To eat I got the hot honey + pepperoni pizza, the flavor is good and there's a nice spice to it but it's super doughy and that took away from the overall enjoyment of it for me. To drink I got the sugar cookie martini and it was to dieeeeeee for. I'm sure it will only be here for the holidays but if you get the chance to try it I would highly reccomend. I made a birthday reservation at Chelsea's for 10 people and later called to increase it to 14, which was within the stated maximum. I was told over the phone that the reservation had been updated. When I arrived, I was seated first and shown three long tables that the hostess said were reserved for my party. The tables were empty at the time. As my guests arrived, we filled two tables, and then I noticed the third table had been given to another group. When I asked about it, the host claimed the table was never mine and said other guests had been seated before I arrived, which was not true. Guests who arrived minutes after me confirmed the table was empty when I was seated. The host team then told my guests that I was lying about the reservation. I asked if the other group could be moved since they hadn't ordered yet, or if a few chairs could be added so my full party could sit together. Both requests were denied, and no solution was offered. We left and went to Hendy's down the street, where we were seated immediately with our entire group. The service, food, and overall hospitality were excellent.
