Sometimes you just want a pretzel
    Marie G.

I was sitting in Church hankering for a soft baked pretzel... some of my Yelp friends had been posting some pretzels in the last few weeks and I just was at the point where I had to have one so I discreetly ordered it on Uber Eats and it was Home two minutes after I got in the door, nice and warm and fresh. I could not believe how huge this thing is. This will be several snacks for sure. It came with a mustard dipping sauce, which is delicious a jalapeño jam dipping sauce, which is very tasty and a cheese sauce infused with beer all good. If you want a pretzel, I highly recommend this place.

Location Just off the 75- north Dallas Parking Large lots, garage Atmosphere Casual restaurant-tv's at the bar Seating Outside patio, bar, booths, hi tops, great for groups. Service Personable, friendly, immediate. Menu Seasonal and standards-appetizers, mains, salads, full bar, desserts. We had the Brussel sprouts-cooked perfectly, generous portion. We love their salads and had the tuna and southwest-huge portions-large enough to split. Okay, yes, we asked for the dessert menu and were so pleased-so many choices! We had the apple crumb that came with ice cream and a caramel drizzle. Yummy! Note-join the rewards club for specials. Summary Our fav spot-so many menu options that are yummy, great cocktails, outstanding service.

Came in tonight around 9:40p ish walked up to the bar, and was totally ignored by Johnny. Me and my friend stood at the bar for about 3-5 min. And he never acknowledged us. We waved down a server and she asked if we needed help because she thought we were being helped at the bar, which unfortunately we weren't. After we walked off Johnny the bartender kindly cleared his bar of the dishes that were at the end of the bar where we were standing, and he continued his conversation with the rest of the bar. Our server Joshua was very nice and attentive! We ordered the crispy calamari and the spicy fried cauliflower. Which they were both good.

After a fun day shopping in Dallas my sis in law and I were looking for a cute dinner spot with gluten free options. We found this place and they had a separate gluten free menu. We were seated quickly as we had grabbed a reservation online. We were quickly greeted and ordered cocktails. The cranberry Aperol spritz was so delicious! Our food also came out promptly and it was SO GOOD! The gluten-free option she ordered was the Baja fish tacos with fresh slaw and I got the Tuscan chicken with cavatappi pasta and baby veggies. It was so tasty that I ate the entire thing haha! The chicken cutlets were tender and crispy and had a delicious caper sauce. The pasta was cooked perfectly, and I usually don't even bother with the vegetables, but they were buttery and delicious. This place was definitely a 10/10 for me! Also props for having a large gluten-free selection and making sure that the allergy plate was marked with a gluten-free toothpick. We would definitely come back!

Came for lunch after leaving a meeting. The restaurant was nice and clean but we were not greeted when we walked in. The person who looked like the manager walked past us but did not speak. Our waiter was lovely and the food was pretty good. I didn't like the sauce that came with the pickles. The fried chicken sandwich was still juicy and crispy.

Calamari. She had already eaten most when I thought to take a picture

2 salads and 1 apple for $60! Am I jaded? I spend a lot of time in Portugal where the food is delicious and a fraction of the price it is here. Anyway my daughter and I got the southwest chicken salad. It was really good even with arugula in it. I hate arugula! My daughter had the calamari and said it was really good. It looked perfectly cooked. The waitresses were attentive except for one. I asked for a napkin and it took her 10 minutes to bring it. I was done eating by then. She came by for me to pay ; I felt rushed as I had not asked for the check. The salads were good, but not good enough to make me want to go back. 3.5

OK so...if you just want to go here to get some drinks, I bet this place is amazing. But the food? Not so much. We got 3 dishes total including their "signature" BBQ bacon-wrapped shrimp which took forever because, as we were informed, got burned the first time around. When we finally got it, it was room temperature and the shrimp was terrible. Too salty. Hubby got the jalapeño burger with fries and when I asked him if he was enjoying his food, his response was, "The fries are good". So the burger was below average. I had the bbq pulled pork sandwich and it lacked the flavor I look for in pulled pork. Very bland. Sorry to say, but the food was extremely sub-par. On a brighter note, the service was amazing. Our server was super sweet and did everything right. Also loved the ambiance and atmosphere. Summary: If you're looking for a pub to go have drinks? This would be a great place! But if you're hungry, there are better options around. We might be back for Wine Wednesday when all bottles are half-price but not for food.

This place rocks! An Upscale but still casual sports bar! Food is delicious, Drinks are yum! Scotch eggs: 5/5 perfect running yolk, and good seasoning Bacon wrapped bbq prawns: 4/5 I got the bbq sauce on the side and I'm glad I did. Not a fan of bbq sauce but my bf is. Ahi tuna Poke Stack: 4/5 I love the tuna and the marinade. Not in love with their rice though.... Feels a bit hard and clumpy. I'm picky with my rice ( I love a good fragrant rice) Passion fruit and mango agua fresca: I had to send it back cause it was too sour for me but they fixed it! Pretty good! Cast iron skillet Peach crumble: 3/5 it's a good peach cobbler but I feel it could have been better. I felt the vanilla ice cream wasn't rich enough. The crumble's really good, nice caramel sauce and peaches... the ice cream should have been better.

Highlights for food: The pizza and bread were delicious. 4 for flavor and texture. I would've loved to have the tortufo, which I tried to order, but the waiter told me they were out of truffles. I asked if we could just get everything else in it and he said "no"? We ordered the wild mushroom instead and while I didn't taste the thyme or pesto, it was still really good. Arugula salad: I think it's $14 or close, so I expected a decent size. It wasn't, and it had one piece of fennel. One. Disappointing. Flavor was good, lemony and fresh. Service: Ordered a cocktail when we sat down. It didn't come for a while. We asked about it, kind of had to remind the server, and it finally arrived with our appetizer, mussels, but I wouldn't have paired the cocktail with mussels so kinda meh. The mussels, however, were really good. They'd get a 5. So overall the food was good, and I'd be curious to try some other things, but it's all a part of the experience and that overall was so-so.

We went for dinner on a Friday to enjoy the gorgeous Dallas weather, sitting on the patio. Service was perfect as usual, seldom a problem with service. I had my usual La Carolina straight up while the wife tried something new, some kind of sweet drink with coconut milk and lime. I don't know the name but she loved it. The kid had Topochico ($6 for bottle, ouch!) The kid had the small guacamole and it is a generous portion with very good quality avocado and a slice on top. There is a small side of roasted poblano pepper that is quite spicy but delicious. I "stole" it from the kid and put on my tacos. Perfect. I had my favorite "Old Fashioned" tacos with flour tortillas and loved them. You two to an order for $17 plus red rice and Cole slaw. It's more than enough food. The wife tried the tacos al pastor with adobo chicken and fresh pineapple. She loved it. The chicken was tender and not dried out. The flavor combo was perfect. Overall, really a perfect meal. The noodles were delightfully chewy and the broth had a rich and full flavor without being overly fatty; I finished every drop of the garlicky goodness. The pork chashu was tender and the egg had a jammy orange yolk. The Birria ramen sounded interesting but a bit gimmicky. They also have chicken ramen for those who cannot appreciate the deliciousness that pork offers. The interior was cozy and upscale for a ramen spot and they have an outdoor patio which is nearly as large as the inside. The service was respectable but not noteworthy. Cons: A little pricey but I guess that's par for the course in Preston Hollow. $23 for my bowl of ramen after tax & tip. Moriya Shokuda is still my current favorite ramen spot but JINYA is very solid! 4.5 stars!

Parking wasn't bad either, there are lots and a garage nearby. However, the food itself fell flat for me. We ordered the crispy chicken happy hour special, which comes with a side salad. The chicken was on the dry side. Whenever I order Kaarage, it usually comes with a dipping sauce, but there was none here and that would've really helped out. The dressing on the side salad was way too acidic, making it hard to eat as well. In addition, we ordered the takoyaki as an appetizer. The takoyaki themselves were pretty solid, but the texture of the mayo was off. I'm not sure if they make their mayo in-house, but i noticed it was curdled. For the ramen, we ordered Jinya Tonkotsu Black and Creamy Veggie Ramen. Pricing is standard for DFW ramen restaurants, although *slightly* higher than some others (by like $1). The base ramen comes with a good variety of toppings! However, the ramen was just okay. The noodles are on the skinnier side, which I prefer thicker, chewier noodles. The pork chashu serving was small, and it tasted kind of old and wasn't that tender nor flavorful. The broth was just alright. I prefer soft-boiled, jammy ramen eggs, but the ajitama here was cooked longer than I would've liked. Ironically, I thought the veggie ramen was *much* better. The broth had better flavor, and they use different noodles than the tonkotsu, which were thicker (and exactly what I like!). Lastly, we had the matcha tiramisu for dessert. On a positive note, the matcha flavor was detectable. However, the tiramisu crème wasn't that fluffy, and there were noticeable amounts of undissolved sugar. Both the curdled mayo and tiramisu crème provide enough data points to suggest that whoever in the kitchen is responsible for blending/mixing needs some more training and attention to detail.

I had booked a reservation on Resy and we were seated immediately in a small, intimate booth. Initially, it was not terribly loud, but as the evening progressed and several large parties were seated nearby; the sound of the music was completely drowned out. I think more noise abatement measures could be taken to absorb some of the obtrusive loudness we were getting. For a starter, we ordered the Calamari. It was fried perfectly and was great, but the Thai Sticky sauce was too sweet and the consistency of the sauce was thin. It needed something to make it more viscous, and a secondary sauce, like a marinara or even an aioli would've been nice to balance out the sweetness of the Thai sauce. For an entree, I ordered the Maple- Ginger Salmon. The salmon was cooked perfectly and itself was delicious, but the sauce was too sweet and rich. The fired rice that accompanied my meal was over-the-top salty. It was almost going into "too much" territory. For desert we split the Passion Fruit Ice Cream Pie. This was actually very good and not overly sweet. It was my favorite item from my meal. Overall Renny's truly employs a lot of care and attention to the food, but some of the items crossed a line into "too much" territory. Be it sweetness or saltiness, the kitchen could exercise a bit of restraint to let the flavors of the food shine.
