Five Stars across the board! Texas centric from atmosphere to cuisine. Took a customer for business lunch and both of us were impressed with the experience. Met at front desk by well trained greeters who immediately entered my name and phone number into the cue system. Less than 3 minutes later my name was called by America . She asked our preference in seating and escorted us to the table. She introduced us to our servers Edgar and Sarah. I can't say enough about the care and meticulous service the provided. One of the best teams I have ever had. Chef Jorge Rivera provided us with his outstanding queso and chips . Wow what a start! We each ordered Fajitas, One chicken only One combination beef and chicken. Every morsel was savory. Looking around at the food being served to nearby tables confirmed that a return visit was definitely in order. I highly recommend this all Texas unique dining restaurant. The Ranch is consistently good- I've been a few times and never had a dish I'd classify as less than amazing. Friends and family are always impressed with the food and atmosphere. The Ranch does it again!!! I dined here for brunch for the first time, and it was nothing short of amazing! We received the BEST service and sat on the patio in the shade, enjoying the beautiful weather. We had the blueberry biscuits with lemon sauce--when I tell you it was so good, I've never had anything like it! It was warm, buttery, and fluffy, and the lemon sauce took it to the next level. Cool country bar restaurant vibe with live music and big portions. Was able to get a table as a walk in with minimal wait - awesome work by the front end staff. Had the western burger which was great - good bbq sauce and the crispy onions were a great flavor touch. Only negative - the waitress was very pushy on the sides, suggesting that shrimp didn't come with the dish we ordered saying it was a sauce. Declined the add on to find actual shrimp in the dish. Saw an ad for The Cowgirl Dinner so I rounded up 5 of us to have a Girls Night Out. Food was delicious and each of our steaks cooked to the correct temperature. Victoria was one of the best servers I've had: friendly, attentive and our glasses never went dry. Angel was good assisting during busy dinner hour. We sat on The Porch which is my favorite area as it's a bit brighter and just the right atmosphere for GNO. And I can't end the review without mentioning the phenomenal dessert platter! We were all full but found room for a few bites each of the deliciousness. My favorites were the decadent chocolate cake and dessert filled empanadas. So glad The Ranch's ad caught my attention and made me remember why I need to add them back into rotation. read more

Came here famished & exhausted from an early flight. Good thing it was a Thursday around 3-ish that we were here so we did not have to wait. Ambiance was amazing! Aside from the holiday decors, the local feel if Texas is there. The staff was great! I thought it was only ours but whoever you talk to has that cheerful spirit thst is not forced. Food was excellent! I ordered the catfish and shrimp plate and side salad. Oh my, the dressing was light and the meal was on point. We had to order dessert even though we were stuffed and both if our orders hit the spot. Unfortunately we did not get to try their cocktails because we were all exhausted. Some of the best food and service we've experienced in a while! We sat at a high top in the bar, and Roque made sure our night was perfect. He recommended the pork belly bites, which were melt in your mouth tender with a gorgeous, perfectly balanced sauce. Finished with the bite of thin, sliced chili and tiny, perfect segments of mandarin. Just wow!! He also recommended the chicken fried steak, which was the best chicken fried steak I've ever had. The kiss of heat in the jalapeño gravy was incredible, and my husband kept raving about the potatoes. And he's not even usually a potato guy. We also shared a delicious, perfectly cooked and juicy ribeye with yummy cornbread on the side. My husband loved his spicy margarita, and my wine was delicious and the perfect temperature. My wine paired beautifully with our meal, and we finished with the bread pudding with whiskey sauce. Wow! That was there with my grandma's. We love the people watching, especially the efficient, well oiled collaboration of the service and kitchen team. This team serves up to 800 a night, and they make it look so easy, like a perfectly coordinated beehive. Such a fun, busy place, and Roque still made us feel like we were friends coming over for dinner. Kind, gracious, and clearly a hospitality veteran. Food is ok but not what was expected. Expected southern food vegetables to be done not to crunchy like right of the garden but buttery and a little soft like Grandma would make southern style. Had chicken fried steak and garden vegetables a mix of zucchini and squash and onions etc. service was arguably not to my southern taste. Ambiance was sub par to country definitely Not southern style except the the deer horn chandelier in the middle of the main dining room. Just had a lovely quick dinner with my lady at your place tonight. We had a big lunch at Hard 8 so we wanted an appetizers and top-notch bourbon cocktails dinner and this was perfect for that.  We had the venison chili, fries, Mac and cheese, asparagus and carrots along with two old fashioned. There's a reason The Ranch has survived in its corner while all the other establishments around it has come and go. It's good... I have ordered this multiple times, the meatloaf. I know it's simple but it's so good at The Ranch. Many people order Steaks and they should since it's really good here. The whole cowboy'ish western environment adds to the taste of the food. I thought I would mention they have this Old Fashioned drink called "The Judd". If you order it, they bring out this big wooden barrel contraption and smokes your drink at the table, pretty interesting presentation. read more

Crispy on the outside yet tender and melts in your mouth on the inside. The meat and cheese board is a 10/10. No need to pick or choose your own meat and cheese. I love the balance of sweet and savory. Also has honey comb and olives . I got the chicken fried steak which was pretty good. Crispy and flavorful batter and the meat inside was juicy and tender. For dessert we got the cheesecake and bread pudding. It was ok. I would definitely skip next time. The ice cream on the bread pudding was good though. Drinks were solid. Here in town for work so I had to give this place a go as it was close by and looked good. SO glad I did. Came at the tail end of lunch rush so it wasn't crazy loud or too busy. Our server Jason, I believe, was awesome. Super professional, perfectly attentive, and had some good recs. For apps the pork belly and the ceviche (not pictured) were the stars. Both were amazing. Had a business dinner at the Ranch with a couple colleagues. First time the Ranch. Very big steakhouse. Lots of room inside and outside. We had to wait only a couple of minutes at 6pm on a Monday night. We sat outside which was nice but was disappointed with the shaggy artificial turf. I had their mixed bowl topped with steak. The steak was really chewy and I didn't enjoy the bowl either as it was very dressed up. Not worth the price. read more

When visiting Dallas, my in-laws wanted to celebrate their wedding anniversary with steak so my sister-in-law and her husband recommended The Ranch. I'm so glad they did because we had a wonderful time here. We were a party of 15 with 6 kids under 8 and yet they still were able to seat us at a table and take wonderful care of us. They even gave great service to all the kids. I appreciate that they took the time to make them feel welcome & part of the experience. The interior of the restaurant is wonderful. It's dark, but not too dark. Just enough to give it a nice mood. There's also huge vaulted ceilings which really helps keep conversations from other guests from bouncing around and making the place overly loud. You just get the sense that they put plenty of time in to interior design as they did the food. Speaking of which, all of the food we had was wonderful. Portion sizes were MASSIVE. I tried the pork chop and it could easily have been 2-3 meals. All of the steaks that everyone got were similar. Everything was seasoned properly, cooked to perfection, and were delicious from the first bite to the last. I will say, however, that we all felt like the appetizers were slightly over salted. Not to the point that it ruined the dishes, but it could have been toned down a bit. The one thing that is really keeping me from giving this place a 5 star review is that 2 of the children (one who just turned 1 and the other who was 3) ordered the grilled chicken off the kids menu. However, the chefs accidentally put blackened seasoning on both of them so that when the kids bit in to it, the understandably freaked out because it was too spicy for them. The restaurant did make good and got us new dishes for them, but by the time they were able to do that, we had given the kids sides such as French fries and fruit to the point where they weren't hungry anymore and it was late so they were tired & ready for bed. Really wish that mistake hadn't happened on both dishes. We could have just not ordered 2 plates because they both just went right home to my sister-in-law since she was the only local who'd be able to eat the chicken at some point. With all that said, we had a wonderful meal at The Ranch. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The food (other than mentioned above) was plentiful and tasty. The drinks were great, and the whole experience was just one for the books. I highly recommend The Ranch. read more
