Service 10/10 - I went with a group of people and the waiter and waitress assigned to us were awesome. Top tier. Atmosphere 10/10 - the restaurant itself is an a great location. Easy to find, plenty of parking, chic decor. Food 3/10 - I ordered the Steak Frites. It wasn't good. Very bland - like no seasonings were used. It also had a slight fishy taste that I didn't understand. It was cooked like I requested and it was a tender piece of meat, just not appetizing. Salad was bland. Fries were cold. I wouldn't order that again and for the price, very sad. I did try a friend's French Chicken and that was incredible. I wish I'd ordered that. read more

This Las Colinas location is perfect if you're looking to get away from the crowds that are typical at the Lovers Lane location. They have a horseshoe-shaped bar that's great for socializing and soaking in the vibe. The food at every Hudson House location I've been to has always been consistent and delicious, and this location is no different. This time, I ordered the French chicken, and it was just as tasty as always. The chicken was tender, never overcooked, and paired so well with that beautiful lemon beurre blanc sauce. And of course, the martinis--no matter which one you order--always come out ice cold and perfect. Would highly recommend this location for a more relaxed Hudson House experience. read more

Martinis are for the girls - love a happy hour that has drinks and burgers on the menu! Not pictured are the delicious truffle frenchy fries (thin French fries). We were able to get a table outside right away though it appeared incredibly packed. The biggest con were the flies. They were pretty relentless, and the restaurant did not have any of the fans to keep the flies away. Since the restaurant was busy, patience was a key component to a successful HH. The company was the most important factor! read more

Honesty is one of the most important qualities in running a business. Tonight, Matt, the manager, told us that due to the delay in getting our table, he would provide a complimentary appetizer or soup. Later, when Emely, our server, brought the bill, the soup and my iced tea appeared to have been removed from the receipt. We appreciated the gesture and thanked them for the service. However, we did not receive a full printed receipt, so I scanned the QR code to view the final receipt online. That was when I discovered the total amount charged had not actually been reduced at all. The "removed" items were still effectively included in the final price. We were not expecting free items or discounts. The disappointing part was being told something was complimentary, seeing items appear removed, but ultimately still being charged the full amount. That felt very dishonest and left a bad impression after what had otherwise been a pleasant evening. read more

It's a good burger but is it the BEST burger in DFW? No. Before I get to the burger, I want to talk about the pickle that comes with your order. I think that's just TOO MUCH pickle. They literally give you half of a giant cucumber! The burger was good. It's juicy and smothered in cheese. Kinda messy to eat. But in the end, it's still just a normal burger. And yes, there's also pickles in the burger as well. I did enjoy The Truffle Parm Fries. They're "skinny" fries so it's easier to eat; very flavorful and tasty. I sat at the bar and the service was friendly and good. read more

Hudson House is one of my go to spots when I'm wanting great vibes and consistently great food no matter which location you go to. Service is always on point even when busy (give them grace especially when people pack out the bar area for Happy Hour times). My fav are the crispy tuna rice appetizer, love the oysters and how you can pick how many you want of each flavor instead of being stuck with half dozen in a flavor so 2 types per dozen, and their dynamite shrimp are flavorful too. The French chicken was yummy! Not sure how the flavors would meld together being Cajun don't French type of sauce but it worked! read more

Tried Hudson House for the first time during happy hour and it did not disappoint. The vibe was energetic on a Thursday afternoon. From the start, the service stood out. Our server was genuinely kind, patient, and walked us through the menu and options without rushing us. The food? Delicious across the board. * Hamachi truffle roll - fresh, lemony, but a little light on the truffle. * French chicken - tender with that rich burre blanc sauce but not as good as the fish. * Blackened redfish - seasoned beautifully with just the right amount of spice. Our favorite dish of the evening. * Frozen Bellini - light, refreshing, and ideal for happy hour. * Gold & Blue martini - smooth and well-crafted. * And yes... we grabbed a cheeseburger to go because we couldn't resist. For a first visit, Hudson House delivered. Great food, great drinks, great service. Already looking forward to going back. read more

Ambiance: The restaurant is very lively and was very busy on a Saturday evening. There were plenty of celebrations and parties! Food: The food was delicious! I ordered the dynamite shrimp and panseared redfish. Both dishes were really phenomenal! Service: Our server was really great! He checked in on us often, and made sure we were taken care of! We eventually went to the bar after paying for our meal to chat some more! The bartenders were so friendly and great! We had a great time! read more

Been here several times for both professional and personal lunches. Every time is excellent. The ambiance is warm, comfortable, classy, and inviting. Service is fantastic - from host/hostess to servers. Reservations made each time (Open Table) and table ready when we arrived. Also celebrated birthdays here and they do a great job. Meal wise - chicken parm is ample and delicious, best fish tacos ever, fries are great, broccoli, clam chowder as well. I also tried one of the special riceless rolls which was delicious (I think it was called the surprise roll?) highly recommend this place. read more

Hudson House is a popular seafood restaurant known for it's fresh selection of oysters and great Cheeseburger ($10 during Happy Hour). Heads up - this location may be a victim of its own success. My Overall Rating - 3 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Kudos to Hudson House for making the most of a small space. There is a full bar, a dedicated spot for oysters, and cozy booths that are comfortable and inviting. It's also always busy at lunch. You can now make reservations on OpenTable, so be sure you do so if timing is an issue. 1 Star. Service - While our servers are professional and fantastic, the hostess at the front needs help. During my lunch visit, there was a long line. Even though I arrived 5 min before my reservation (made on OpenTable). I had to wait. After about 10 minutes, I got back in line then another person skipped in front of me to talk to the hostess. I made a snarky comment and eventually I was seated. But it wasn't a good experience. 1/2 Star Food - While the menu is limited, it's very good. I started with the Dynamite Shrimp. The presentation of the dish was as great as the plump, juicy shrimp. If you're a fan of Asian flavors, you'll like this dish. And yes, I know Hudson House is a seafood restaurant, but they serve one of the best cheeseburgers in the city. I'll order this double patty burger even outside of Happy Hour because the patties are beefy, juicy, and the cheese is perfectly melty. The only downside is that Hudson House is not cheap. 1 Star. Will I Return? - I don't know. I'll probably come back, but only during Happy Hour or when it's not as crowded. There are multiple Hudson House locations throughout DFW so I won't let my experience with the hostess keep me from that cheeseburger. 1/2 Star. read more

I went here for brunch with one of my longtime friends and we absolutely enjoyed the experience. It was a quiet but busy and full establishment, everyone was stressed nicely and the customer service was a 10 out of 10. The food was delicious. It came out quickly. We just couldn't eat everything and we took a lot of things to go. Will 100% return. We visit Dallas numerous times a year and this will become a staple. Their happy hour is legit, we still ventured outside of the deals to try the signature roll and I can honestly say it is the best sushi roll I have ever had. I was stationed in Hawaii for 5 years and this roll topped any I had on the island. Service is quick and respectful, our dozen oysters were shucked directly in front of us as we sat at the bar to enjoy the 3 dollar oyster and half off martini happy hour. Located in an insanely busy shopping complex with multiple well respected restaurants. The inside screams of seafood and class, but the ambiance allows for a come as you are dining experience. If you're close enough to try this place you're doing yourself a disservice by not. read more

We had Sunday brunch here after our grown son had been suggesting this place for months. I was a little skeptical because their menu is limited and pricey but gave it a shot. I will say it's an upscale experience from the time you set foot inside. That ended shortly after we were seated. When the waiter brought us canned soda and said it's $4 a can. No refills and no soda machine at an upscale restaurant?????? The service was slow and we had to chase down our waiter a couple of times for refills of water. It was almost as if he was slightly offended when I questioned $4 a can on our refill. Now to be fair the chips that came with the avocado dip were amazing and the tuna crisps were as well. I got the cheeseburger and truffle fries. It was just OK. Really nothing fancy and the truffle fries barely had enough seasonings to give you that taste. My wife and son liked their salads and salmon. Honestly, over priced and underwhelming on service and taste for what they want to charge. read more

I always hear about this place on social media and finally decided to drop in and see what the big deal was. Honestly, other than it was a pricey lunch, I have no complaints. I kind of like how the menu isn't overwhelming, but just simple food done really well. I ordered the Hudson salad (I saw so many TT videos about it) and the boyfriend ordered the cheeseburger with fries, and we both split the shrimp appetizer. The burger tasted like a really delicious McDonalds burger to me. It was super cheesy and had that special sauce going on. And the salad? A great lunch option but was incredibly filling. They definitely didn't skimp out on the avocados or the bacon. Again, this is such a simple salad, but done really well. All of the ingredients were incredibly fresh and the chicken was moist because no one wants to eat dry chicken in a salad! No notes on the shrimp other than it was really good. I'd probably order something different for an app next time, but I'd go back for the salad or the burger any time! read more

Dropped in for lunch on Saturday afternoon and easily grabbed a seat at the bar. Service was attentive right away. I decided to try something outside my usual and ordered the Beverly salad--so glad I did! It was great, generously portioned, and all the flavors blended together perfectly. The layout is a bit different from the Fort Worth location, but the restaurant was clean, well staffed, and everyone I interacted with was friendly. I'd definitely visit again when I'm in the area. read more

I want to start out with our server was amazing! Very friendly and nice. He recommended the redfish for dinner and it was delicious! The dynamite shrimp app was very good as well. They lost me because it took a very long time to get our drinks. Our appetizers came out before our martinis, and they claim they are the coldest granted it is 100 degrees in Texas but it wasn't that cold. My other gripe which is more a personal taste which is why I didn't decrease the star count, the key lime pie I really did not like. I love key lime pie, the way they make it is not the way I love it. That being said, I would go back and maybe sit at the bar! I just wouldn't order the key lime again. read more

Although this is a chain, loved the setting and the layout of the interior. Roomy tables and comfortable chairs & booths. This place had been on my list for a long time to try and I finally made it here. Came on a busy Saturday and sat at the bar to avoid the long wait for a table. The bar seating gives you a nice view of the kitchen and you can see the chefs at work making the wonderful food here. Had to try the oysters first and they were amazing and so fresh like they are straight from the ocean. Keeping the seafood coming I got the lobster roll and it was delicious. My friend got the burger and I had a bite. It was a really good burger that I may have to get for myself next time. The bar servers were very nice and friendly and even told me about how great the happy hour is and that I should come for it. Hudson House is tucked in on the corner of MacArthur in Irving. It's a great lunch or dinner location with great service and amazing food. You won't go wrong with anything on the menu but my personal favorites are the French chicken or the lobster roll. The French chicken is a perfect girl dinner with perfectly suave chicken served on top of a vinaigrette salad topped with fries. You can upgrade your fries with truffle fries instead. They also have a lobster mac cheese which is to die for as well. The restaurant vibe is quiet and very cozy. Hudson's was great! Went on a weeknight and the place was buzzing. Apparently they have a fantastic happy hour so will need to go a bit earlier next time. Our server was attentive and friendly. The decor almost seemed like an old school family restaurant so I was tempering my expectations for the food but it was so good! I had the French chicken which was just yummy. I don't usually order chicken at restaurants but I'm really glad I did. That and the fries were cooked perfectly. And the Jack's salad that came with it was great. I had a nice glass of rose that went perfectly with my meal. My friend got the fish tacos and really liked them as well. Now for dessert-we decided to split the key lime pie. I actually make homemade key lime pie with limes from my tree and feel like most restaurants miss the mark and it's never as good. Not Hudson's. They know how to do it. The pie was nice and tart and had a delicious crust. I will definitely be back next time I'm in town. read more

The food was good, but too expensive for what it was. $30 for chicken parm is a little over the top. But it was a large portion, was served hot, and had good flavor and texture. Service rhythm was good. However, everyone at the table was from Louisiana and the server couldn't tell us what was used in the "Cajun" spices on the French Chicken. After checking with the kitchen, she came back and said pepper and other Cajun...stuff. You'd think that would be a basic training lesson and menu knowledge you'd have to grasp before being given a section. Don't put vague descriptions in print if your staff can't break them down when the guest asks questions. On a side note, I know for a fact that this company requires all their managers to be clean shaven. Yet, I saw a cook/chef with a fairly thick, quasi-biker beard working the line in an open kitchen in clear view of guests. Kind of ironic. I'd rather the dude making my food be clean shaven for obvious reasons. Unlikely that I return. read more
