Chicken fried chicken and balboa pizza
Clayton B.

Candidly stopped in here after striking out at Yard House, but am really glad we did. Ample seating and tons of TVs. Sat at the bar and service was not only quick but the bartender helping us was knowledgeable on the drinks and food. Went with the balboa pizza, adding jalapeños, and the chicken fried chicken with jalapeño gravy. The pizza was solid, great crisp on the crust, cooked well, fresh toppings, and good ranch. As for the chicken fried chicken, also insanely good, nice batter and the gravy was great.

We visited Reservoir at Toyota Music Factory for the first time over Memorial Day weekend. I ordered the Thai Sweet Chili Chicken Tenders, and my husband had the Lemon Pepper Wings with Waffle Fries. The food was fantastic--hot, fresh, and full of flavor. I enjoyed the "Breezy" cocktail, and he tried the "Bushwacker"--both drinks were tasty and well-made. The only downside was the service. Despite the place not being busy, we didn't receive the level of attentiveness we expected. Still, the quality of the food and drinks made up for it, and I won't let the service discourage me from giving it another shot.

Food here was good, the atmosphere was laid back and casual, our waitress was cool and did a great job. The shrimp corn dogs were different and the fries tasted garlicky and was a bit much. I ordered a drink that was a chocolate frosty with rum and whiskey that was great. Overall, I we enjoyed the evening and will be back.

Sunday 3ish Waitress was very busy but very good at her job. Atmosphere: louder than I would like. Table conversations have to be a little louder than normal for you to hear. Outlet in the booth we sat in. I needed to charge my phone so I was glad about that. Seats in booth need replacing. Busted up a little bit. Everything is open seating. Waited around 5 or so min for service. I got the sampler appetizer, Smorgsbord ?(sp). It comes with the queso and tortillas and 3 other choices. Queso- 3/5 wouldn't have to reorder Chips - 4/5 The angry pig in a blanket - 3.5/5 would possibly re order for the table Funky town? Wings- Asian Chile- it comes with maybe 4 wings? 3/5 Possible reorder The chicken strips (captain crunch breaded)- 3/5 wouldn't have to have them again. Sangria margarita - very cute. But not strong. I should've felt the margarita 1/2 finished, since I had nothing to eat previously, but did not Overall, it was a chill vibe. We sat inside and the wind came and gave a nice breeze. Would I return? Possibly, but no rush. And I would prob get the ultimate ham and cheese or the Cajun shrimp tacos. Wouldn't get the sampler again

Located in Irving-Las Colinas's Toyota Music Factory, it's a perfect place to grab coffee and a bite to eat. This location has quickly become one of my favorite spots at TMF. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - It's a cozy, welcoming space that will draw your attention to the wall with all the menu items. Assorted pastries and grab & go bites sit behind the glass counter leading to where you place your order. There are tons of assorted seating, from booths to even an alcohol\coffee bar. And when you come for lunch, the aroma from their wood fired grill fills the air. 1 Star. Service - The staff is great. You place your order, get a number, and the food is delivered to you. On my visit, the one lone staffer was taking a long To Go order over the phone. The manager noticed and quickly came to take our order. This is great awareness and service! 1 Star. Food - I love coming here for lunch because of the grill. On this visit, I went with the beef kabobs and brussels sprouts with sweet chili sauce. First, the kabob was some of the most tender beef I've ever had. Is was soft, perfectly grilled, and paired well with the grilled bell peppers and onions. Never underestimate the depth of flavor from a wood fired grill. But the star of my dish was the brussels sprouts with sweet chili sauce. The tender brussels sprouts were great, but oh my that sweet chili sauce was incredible. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. While Kitchen 101 has a huge menu, the items I've ordered have been a hit. I'll be back for those brussels sprouts and weekend brunch. 1 Star.

My food was acceptable, but it did not excite me. Although the steak was good enough, the dish was not memorable at all. I thoroughly enjoyed that mimosa, which was quite good! The atmosphere had the feel of an entirely relaxed brunch place and the service was also completely fine.

It just feels very manufactured. The menu is varied. If you've read my reviews before, you know that I'm a Texa-fornian, so there are a lot of places in Texas that don't suit my palate (or my waist line.) I was easily able to find a couple of things that I would have enjoyed. Based solely on the calorie count, I picked the salmon with cauliflower rice. It was a little oily, but it was good. I cleaned the plate. It's dark inside, like a steakhouse. Not for me, but if that's your thing, you would be happy. It's clean the food's fresh and if you're a drinker, there is a lot of beer. I'm not a drinker. Maybe you're asking why did you even go? Someone gave me a gift card and someone gave my daughter a gift card, so we had to use them.

They're known for massively tall "yard" servings of beer, though I didn't see anyone trying one on my lunchtime visit. They do have a good 4 pages of beers on the menu! The place has high ceilings with exposed pipes lending an industrial vibe. The menu helpfully marks vegetarian options as well as lower calorie choices. I was impressed to see power outlets along the purse hooks below the bar - if you wanted to bring a laptop and catch up on work emails, it'd be possible. Our waitress was business-like and a little unfriendly, and service was terribly slow. The food was good. Free refills on our drinks flowed freely. I tried a veggie burger which was a bit spicy and oaty. I wish I'd tried a salad! Still, I appreciated that they worked with me on reserving tables for a large group all with separate checks.

My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Tupelo Honey is a stand-alone restaurant conveniently located near Hwy 114 and 161. There's plenty of parking, outdoor seating, and a mixture of tables, booths, and bar seating. Speaking of the bar, it acts as a beautiful backdrop for the entire restaurant. 1 Star. Service - The service is always friendly. Our server is always smiling, and I can't help but feel welcome with southern charm. Tupelo Honey trains its staff well, and I really enjoy coming here and interacting with the staff. 1 Star. Food - I always begin with the Biscuits with a Cause. These light, flakey biscuits are served warm with a crispy exterior and soft, flakey inside. But honestly, the biscuits act as a delivery mechanism for the butter and blue berry jam. I always ask for an extra side of butter and jam because I use it all. On my most recent visit, I ordered the Honey Dusted Fried Chicken (dark). The chicken was perfectly fried, crispy, and sweet. And the dark meat was juicy. Pro Tips - use your hands. Another great dish was experienced. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. I have yet to have a below average dish at Tupelo Honey. Yes, it's a chain. But it's also a darn good chain that keeps its menu fresh and is worth multiple visits. 1 Star.

Southern shakshuka. $15.99 two eggs* baked in a tomato, spinach, & peperonata sauce, over stone-ground goat cheese grits, topped with basil (710 cal) - This combo was good, loved the creaminess and even had leftovers for the next day. And when you combine this with the beautiful spring weather in Texas (March), it's one of the best experiences in all of DFW. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - If you haven't been to Water Street, go now while the weather is nice (March or October). I'm writing this review in March when the Texas weather is beautiful. While the inside of Pacific Table is elegant with blue booths and white tablecloths, the outdoor seating next to Lake Carolyn creates a view that's almost impossible to find in DFW: fine dining by the water. 1 Star. Service - The service is great. Our server was attentive, helpful, and best of all shared the special of the day. I always ask my server because when they recommend an excellent dish, it means the restaurant puts in the effort to enable them. Mission accomplished. 1 Star. Food - I went with Pacific Table's special of the day: blackened redfish with creole sauce and a vegetable. WOW. This dish was a homerun. The fish was tender, well-seasoned, and the sauce added a creamy component that reminded me of the bayou. As a bonus, my sauteed spinach that I chose as my side was equally delicious. If I wasn't dining in public, I would have licked my plate. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. Every time I eat at Pacific Table, I try something new and am pleasantly surprised.
