I am a DoorDash driver who is picking up my customers order that we had already been sitting there when I walked in. I mentioned to Phillip that the order was reading incorrectly and Phillip (THE MANAGER blew me off. I understand that it may be busy but my customer was before any customer that standing in waiting to be seated because their food is sitting there getting cold while you me off putting others in front of my customer when it took you afterwards, five seconds to tell me that the order was correct it just had a different system for the particular burger. That could've been handled so much differently than making me feel like my customer's order was not important. I walked in thinking this may be a place that I may want to try. I walked out thinking I'll never come here. I am a DoorDash driver part-time. MY go-to place for a great burger and a good brew! We arrived and happily found a seat on the patio. First cool day of fall and it was nice! A relaxed atmosphere outside, we enjoyed the view. Our server was quick to greet us and bring us menus (though they DO have a QR menu available on every table). I asked about the beers on draft, and ordered one that was suggested (and was happy with it). We frequent this establishment, so knew what we wanted! The Brad Sham and the Bodacious Burger! We added some goat chips too! Of note, they have a rotating burger battle that is always fun to see, and try. We didn't get one this time, but am always up to try one. Gabriel was our waiter on Labor Day. The place seemed a little understaffed, but they were still managing to get orders out, and Gabriel was great. This was my first time here, and we had actually spied the current Burger Battle online before we arrived. It was a tough call, but Hatch chile season only comes around once a year, so we went with the "Hatch Me If You Can" burger with chiles, queso and tortilla chips. DELISH. But the real star of the show was the Cobb salad. It was loaded with goodies -- goat cheese, bacon, avocado and more -- but the absolute BEST part was the tempura battered jalapeños. WOOO-EEE. Those things were tremendous! And hot tip: there's a happy hour with $6 sangrias (I think they're called Rattlesnakes?). Whatever they're called, they were YUM. And yum again. A couple of less-great notes: the bathroom was kind of annoying. TP was out in every stall, and ladies, can we all agree that if you have to scoot back over the toilet in order to shut the stall door, the stall is too small? There is plenty of room in the bathroom, so that was a frustrating trip to the loo. Another hot tip: get the sweet potato fries! They seem to be less frequently ordered, which means you're more likely to get them hot. A burger joint tucked away next to the lake. You get the vibe of the brewery and pub without the overwhelming crowds. We were promptly seated and given a comfortable time to look at the menu. Our server was super patient and courteous, she even provided us tasters for the beer. The Manhattan project gold was crisp and refreshing. My friend had the Chaca Oaxaca and I had the Brad Sham. The menu does a good job of describing how each burger should taste. The patties were made with high quality meat, that too our surprise was seasoned with salt and pepper only. Went on week night and the place was pretty busy. It was 'seat yourself', so we found a booth. We ordered beers and cheese fries with jelapenos. The fries were delish and came in a huge serving! We barely could make a dent in them. My partner got the sugar burger with their vegan patty, the peaches just xame on the side...not grilled or seasoned! I wanted something lighter, so ordered the cobb salad and what I got was very disappointing! The eggs were diced too fine into a mush and the salad was drowning in the dressing! There was no crunch or texture, just a big, fatty mush drenched in dressing! I could barely eat it. We been here many times over the years as it's the go to place when it comes to hamburgers as that's their specialty. We've also been to the one NW of downtown. For the most, they're all good as it's hard to go wrong with burgers and fries, as long as the ingredients are fresh. Last night, I went with the guys from our church. It's all good as it's still a solid 4 stars. I just have 2 comments. I got the Saddle Up as I tried to order something different each time as I've had more than 50% of their selections over the years. So what intrigued me was adding the eggs as that the way I make them from home many years ago before it was a thing. So the thick bacon, that was more like pork belly as it was thick and a bit chewy, and definitely very fat. I think would have enjoyed it more as thinner, crispy bacons next time. Then there's the description of 2 smash patties. I was told that it's just one standard patties, so in the picture, you can see I just paid extra to get 2nd patties. Smash patties would've been tastier, so that was a slight let down. Overall, I finished but with 2 regular sized patties, and the so called thick bacon, it was quite greasy as my pan was covered in oil. As an advice, maybe check with the waiter to see if they do indeed have smash patties as that's would've been a 5 star for sure. My instead, I probably didn't need to pay for that 2nd regular patty and extra $ whatever amount that was charged. read more

This was my first time to this location. I have only ever been to the one in Ft Worth near 7th. It doesn't have the same type of atmosphere. Frankly it looks a heck of a lot like the Flying Fish next door, of you aren't looking too close. It just seems to be missing a bit of personality. My friend and I came in to get the promotional Radio burger which they donated some of the proceeds to our local PBS station after they lost federal funding. Burgers and a good cause, we were in! The burgers were pretty good, however we both asked for the prickly pear BBQ sauce on the sice, which was a good choice. Neither of us were mad about it and it just stayed on the side. The service was JUST ok and the price point is really high. $14 for a burger without fries is a lot. They do big burgers with some crazy ingredients, but they aren't better than other burgers in the area. Though they are more expensive. Burgers are big business and there are tons of options.
