The interior, true to the restaurant's name, is designed to evoke the main house of a ranch, with a solid, rustic atmosphere. The staff wear cowboy hats, adding to the full Texas vibe. The menu ranges widely--from Tex‑Mex to steaks, meatloaf, and seafood. The ingredients are high‑quality, and the food is genuinely tasty. The salads and sauces that come on the side have a unique, original flavor you won't find at other restaurants, making you want to come back again. read more

I am delinquent in submitting this review. My husband and I treated a friend to lunch on Saturday, 6/21/25. He picked this place! Hubby and I had never been, so we certainly looked forward to it. The food, service (Edras was FANTASTIC!!!), and ambiance were PHENOMENAL!!! Food order: Crispy Pork Belly Bites (WONDERFUL!!!) / Grilled Striped Bass / Chicken Fried Steak / Texas Redfish (mine --- GREAT!!!). We got desserts: Chipotle Chocolate Layer Cake and the Pecan Pie. My husband and I were supposed to share the Pecan Pie, but he would stop eating it. I had to tap him to let me get in! We will be back!!! read more

Y'all can see I come here around the same time a year to celebrate with my people and it never disappoints! This time though we went early and saw things I haven't seen before. Everything was absolutely delicious, the service was amazing and the ambiance is always a good time (minus the fight for parking). read more

Food is ok but not what was expected. Expected southern food vegetables to be done not to crunchy like right of the garden but buttery and a little soft like Grandma would make southern style. Had chicken fried steak and garden vegetables a mix of zucchini and squash and onions etc. service was arguably not to my southern taste. Ambiance was sub par to country definitely Not southern style except the the deer horn chandelier in the middle of the main dining room. Please absolutely don't waste you time and money on this place for country dining . Oh and to Top it... got sick after getting home. $88.00 down the drain literally sucks. Will never step foot in this place again. Beware!!! read more

Imagine a large rustic lodge with deep leather seating that you can just sink into by the fireplace with a cigar and drink in hand or a meeting room that has the space of a small banquet hall. The simplest way to describe The Ranch at Las Colinas is amazing from the moment you view it from the parking lot, but once you step inside and look around at the leather textures, fireplaces, casita, multiple dining rooms, high seating benches, outdoor seating, multiple bars you are left wondering how big is this establishment really?? The brunch..OMG..imagine just finishing a trail ride from the Hill Country and you and the crew have a hankering for some food that will stick to your ribs. The Ranch offers you that selection and much, much more. The menu is extensive with locally sourced products and the servers are top notch. If you do want to try the brunch I recommend arriving the first hour of opening so you can have a better selection of seating and to relax and enjoy your meal basking in the morning sunlight. read more

Food was really good. Nice menu with pub food and some more upscale options too. The dip appetizer was phenomenal. I got the pub burger which was very good. Service was fairly good. The server seemed to have a sarcastic attitude and we ended up having to get our own water twice. I really enjoyed this place. It's decorated like a ranch and the menu didn't disappoint. read more

Nice classier Texan ranch vibes. Dim lighting and nice ambiance for casual drinking while chatting with friends, watching sports, and listening to country music. The place is kind of loud so personally I would not go as a first date spot. Definitely book a reservation, as the place is super crowded. Service was decent, took a while to order our food but it came out in a reasonable amount of time. The appetizers were the best part of the meal IMO. The pork belly app is CRAZY GOOD!! Crispy on the outside yet tender and melts in your mouth on the inside. The meat and cheese board is a 10/10. No need to pick or choose your own meat and cheese. I love the balance of sweet and savory. Also has honey comb and olives . I got the chicken fried steak which was pretty good. Crispy and flavorful batter and the meat inside was juicy and tender. For dessert we got the cheesecake and bread pudding. It was ok. I would definitely skip next time. The ice cream on the bread pudding was good though. Drinks were solid. A great espresso martini, and the whiskey drinks have a nice Texas stamped ice cube!! Would definitely come back with friends. read more

Carry from Hawaii... very rarely does a hostest make you feel welcomed and at home. Today me and my team decided to have a dinner after a long meeting. From the onset she set us up and had a small conversation that set the stage for us to have a fantastic meal. I can not express the words of gratitude that I feel given the day we had. Thank you! Next time I'm in the DFW area. We will be back! read more

I would not go back to this place even if they offered a 200$ credit! Not sure what happened to this place over the last 5 years (maybe covid?), but we use to love The Ranch. Burger had absolutely no flavor to the meat, chicken fried steak was a thin slice like you would see in a small diner and bland! corn bread had absolutely no hint of "corn bread flavor". The ribs tasted ok but they were average at best. Very overpriced, average food now. Stood at the bar for 5 min being ignored by the bartender even after we made eye contact several times and he knew I had a question (not busy at all). Instead he continued to talk to the couple in front of him and straight up dismissed my presence. I Finally walked over directly in front of the bar tender and asked for a price menu. They had a great selection but everything was marked up 200% on a pour, and that's 200% on TOP of what most restaurants already mark up. It's a shame. Not sure if it's under new management or what but that was a terrible experience Whiskey cake is way better, food is better, all the staff is amazing and their drinks are fairly priced! read more

Last minute reservations for a large office lunch for 14 people. They were able to accommodate. Great stmosphere and food was delicious. Was pretty busy for a lunch (noon) on a Monday. We sat on the patio which was a cool vibe but somewhat loud. Definitely recommend. I had the barbacoa grilled cheese great flavor but I feel it could have had a bit more cheese. Cheese to meat ratio was off a bit. read more

Had a business dinner at the Ranch with a couple colleagues. First time the Ranch. Very big steakhouse. Lots of room inside and outside. We had to wait only a couple of minutes at 6pm on a Monday night. We sat outside which was nice but was disappointed with the shaggy artificial turf. I had their mixed bowl topped with steak. The steak was really chewy and I didn't enjoy the bowl either as it was very dressed up. Not worth the price. read more

Here in town for work so I had to give this place a go as it was close by and looked good. SO glad I did. Came at the tail end of lunch rush so it wasn't crazy loud or too busy. Our server Jason, I believe, was awesome. Super professional, perfectly attentive, and had some good recs. For apps the pork belly and the ceviche (not pictured) were the stars. Both were amazing. The the ribeye was cooked perfectly med-rare and seasoned excellent. I had it grilled with the tallow butter - yes please. I'd do that again! read more

Some of the best food and service we've experienced in a while! We sat at a high top in the bar, and Roque made sure our night was perfect. He recommended the pork belly bites, which were melt in your mouth tender with a gorgeous, perfectly balanced sauce. Finished with the bite of thin, sliced chili and tiny, perfect segments of mandarin. Just wow!! He also recommended the chicken fried steak, which was the best chicken fried steak I've ever had. The kiss of heat in the jalapeño gravy was incredible, and my husband kept raving about the potatoes. And he's not even usually a potato guy. We also shared a delicious, perfectly cooked and juicy ribeye with yummy cornbread on the side. My husband loved his spicy margarita, and my wine was delicious and the perfect temperature. My wine paired beautifully with our meal, and we finished with the bread pudding with whiskey sauce. Wow! That was there with my grandma's. We love the people watching, especially the efficient, well oiled collaboration of the service and kitchen team. This team serves up to 800 a night, and they make it look so easy, like a perfectly coordinated beehive. Such a fun, busy place, and Roque still made us feel like we were friends coming over for dinner. Kind, gracious, and clearly a hospitality veteran. The next time we are in the Dallas area, we are definitely coming back, and we'll ask to be seated with Roque. read more

When visiting Dallas, my in-laws wanted to celebrate their wedding anniversary with steak so my sister-in-law and her husband recommended The Ranch. I'm so glad they did because we had a wonderful time here. We were a party of 15 with 6 kids under 8 and yet they still were able to seat us at a table and take wonderful care of us. They even gave great service to all the kids. I appreciate that they took the time to make them feel welcome & part of the experience. The interior of the restaurant is wonderful. It's dark, but not too dark. Just enough to give it a nice mood. There's also huge vaulted ceilings which really helps keep conversations from other guests from bouncing around and making the place overly loud. You just get the sense that they put plenty of time in to interior design as they did the food. Speaking of which, all of the food we had was wonderful. Portion sizes were MASSIVE. I tried the pork chop and it could easily have been 2-3 meals. All of the steaks that everyone got were similar. Everything was seasoned properly, cooked to perfection, and were delicious from the first bite to the last. I will say, however, that we all felt like the appetizers were slightly over salted. Not to the point that it ruined the dishes, but it could have been toned down a bit. The one thing that is really keeping me from giving this place a 5 star review is that 2 of the children (one who just turned 1 and the other who was 3) ordered the grilled chicken off the kids menu. However, the chefs accidentally put blackened seasoning on both of them so that when the kids bit in to it, the understandably freaked out because it was too spicy for them. The restaurant did make good and got us new dishes for them, but by the time they were able to do that, we had given the kids sides such as French fries and fruit to the point where they weren't hungry anymore and it was late so they were tired & ready for bed. Really wish that mistake hadn't happened on both dishes. We could have just not ordered 2 plates because they both just went right home to my sister-in-law since she was the only local who'd be able to eat the chicken at some point. With all that said, we had a wonderful meal at The Ranch. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The food (other than mentioned above) was plentiful and tasty. The drinks were great, and the whole experience was just one for the books. I highly recommend The Ranch. read more

Listen. Just eat here. Period. This was a work dinner. We ordered every appetizer on the menu. Did I take pictures of it all? No. Was there food just continuously coming out? Yes. Was everything so good that I forgot to take pictures? Also yes. I was so full I ordered salad. Do not make the same mistake. I ended up eating my coworker's wagyu steak. EAT THIS!!! That's it! Have the wagyu. Sides don't matter, nothing else matters. I also forgot to take pictures because I was in love with my steak...well not my steak. I told everyone at home about it. Well this was a happening popular spot on a Thursday night! I couldn't believe it was packed - this is a really big place. They had live music on one side. We had to wait 45 mins for table but it went really quick since we went to bar to grab some drinks and they sat us down quickly after. I think my food was a little cold but I think maybe they were waiting for all the food to come out same time it was still good but I like my food hot don't kill me. I didn't sent it back it was too late by this time. However the appetizers were amazing! The crab dip we recommend for you to order! Our waiter was really good. We had a fantastic lunch at The Ranch! It was the perfect halfway point to meet a friend. The Texas decor, open fire ovens, and fireplaces created a great ambiance. I tried the Thursday special, a Prime Rib Sandwich with Tallow fries, it was a huge portion I was unable to finish. My wife raved about her spicy tortilla soup (and she's picky about soup!), while our friend enjoyed the prime rib sandwich too.
