The top sirloin was my favorite of all the meats. Loved loved the roasted cinnamon pineapple. Paired it with the custard/flan and it was perfection! Last think was the potato salad was one of the best I've ever had, so good. The salad bar was nice and made a salad that I wash I had taken a pic of as all the produce was so fresh. Unfortunately, I wasn't very impressed with our experience at Vila Brazil. We made a reservation for a party of 14, but our group still couldn't sit together. The restaurant is very small and has only one toilet in the women's restroom and one in the men's, which is especially inconvenient when serving large parties. The fried bananas were flavorless, drinks do not come with refills, and they don't have cups with lids for children to help prevent accidental spills. The chicken lasagna from the salad bar was good, and the fresh limeade was definitely a highlight. At $40 per person, it is about $10-$15 cheaper than some competitors, but the lower price was reflected in the overall experience. I would rather spend a little more elsewhere for better accommodations and a more enjoyable group dining experience. read more

Long time patron, first time reviewer lol. We've been coming here for years and if it wasn't because we lived so far away, we'd prob eat here every week! They've definitely refreshened up the space; it's still both intimate and good for large parties. It's the food that keeps us coming back. The meat quality is excellent and always cooked perfectly to your taste. Service is always amazing and attentive and if you ever need more of anything just ask. My tip would be, to go light on the salad bar so you can enjoy ALL the cuts of meat. Always leave room for their Flan; so creamy and delicious and eat it with a cup of coffee to finish your meal :) Ps. It doesn't hurt that the price point is prob the best around! read more

Oh my gosh, I cannot believe I have been missing out on this place. Stop by today for lunch and it's all you can eat for $25 and let me tell you everything was perfect. When you walk in your ass, how many people will be in your party and you are quickly seated. From there, you can go ahead and flip your card Over from Red to Green and then let the fun begin. They have a salad bar ranging from all kinds of lettuce to all kinds of vegetables, fruits and more. At the bar where you can get and build your salad they also have vegetables ranging from potatoes, corn, green beans, fresh pico de gallo anything you name it it's there! Just grab a plate and load it up but make sure to save room for the main course which is all the good meats that they have. The meat range from high-end steaks to chicken to many more meats that I can't even name because there were so many. The staff is super friendly and they come around bringing it in less until you just cannot eat anymore. Once you're full you flip it over to Red and then that's it time to go. I will be coming back here. I had a great time. I will have to say that I do believe the main chef came out several times and serve the sirloin which was my absolute favorite meat of all of them! I will say my favorite thing at the end was the pineapple I had no idea, but it was gonna taste like how it did, but I will say that before you wrap up, make sure that the last thing you try is the pineapple that comes around? It is going to surprise you so please do not leave without trying it. It will definitely leave an everlasting impression as I've never had pineapple like this before. Don't know if it was a bad Saturday night I went on, but this place was probably one of my worst braZillian buffet dining experiences yet. All my meats that came to me were well done and hard, service didn't even come by and remove plates, meats weren't even served to me until the very last parts. I asked for fresh ones everytime they did come and the meats that were on selection didn't even have full selection. I never saw chicken once. I waited and no one asked about anything so I decided not to try it. The cheese bread that my son usually loves wasn't served fresh but part of the salad bar and the ones he'd grabbed had been sitting out for quite some time. Will definitely not return. read more

The food was solid. Unlike most places; your bread, polenta, and bananas/plantains are in the buffet area with a lot of other items which are self served. But here's a small story. Hungry. Angry. There was a server with an electric fly swatter and he was doing it over and around the bar where drinks were being sent out. Please by the love of god do that not in service and in front of guests. I suppose what really got me and rubbed me the wrong way was of an auto gratuity when it was just a simple date night between eyad and I. If I hadn't had seen it, I would've tipped the average 25%. I picked up a carry-out order today--specifically the spicy picanha combo plate. I had requested the meat to be cooked medium well, but what I received was rare and extremely difficult to chew. I called to speak with the manager, but unfortunately, she was dismissive, lacked empathy, and was outright rude. I explained that I couldn't return today and asked if I could receive a replacement next week. She refused and instead told me to contact DoorDash, placing the blame on them for the issue. I've been a loyal customer for quite some time and regularly order carry-out from your location. The quality is usually excellent, but today's experience was disappointing. I have been to this restaurant several years ago. They have remodeled and updated the interior. We came on a Saturday afternoon after running several errands. We were greeted at the door by Rochelle and seated immediately. There are several new Brazilian Steakhouses that have opened up in Irving but this place has more a a "hole in the wall" feel to it in comparison to some of the other fancier contemporaries. We enjoyed the well stocked salad bar with several types of rice, several types of beans, fried bananas, and bread with cheese. We sat at our table and then tasted the many meats that came out. Finally, we finished with the home made flan also at the salad bar and roasted pineapple with cinnamon. The service was great, the atmosphere was casual, and the food was great. If you have MATTHEWS (I believe that was his name) as a server, ASK FOR SOMEONE ELSE!! I had a reservation for 12pm on a Sunday for a table of 8. I called around 11:30am to ask if it would be possible to come a little bit early as we were just down the street from the restaurant. The woman on the phone asked me if my reservation was for the Irving or Dallas location and I told her "Irving" which she sounded a little confused by because she couldn't find my reservation. She told me to come in anyway and we would be seated. When my family and I arrived, I walked in (probably around 11:40am) and was immediately told "No, we are not open yet." I told the guy, Matthews (TERRIBLE ATTITUDE) that I had just called and spoke to a woman who said we could come early. He said, "What number did you call? show me." I pulled it up on my call log and he told me to "call it" so I did. He grinned at me and said, "Do you hear the phone ringing?" in a very sarcastic tone. **At this point I realized I may have called the Dallas location which is why the hostess there couldn't find my reservation-- easy miscommunication. But he definitely could have just told me that instead of doing all this to prove a point. I looked at him and said, "Why would you make me call it if you saw that it was the wrong number?" He laughed saying, "Well do you see a woman around here? No. So I don't know who you talked to." Irritated, I went outside to join the rest of my family. At 12pm on the dot, we walked in, got seated, and guess who our server was... MATTHEWS. He started by asking us what we'd like to drink. Since I was closest to where he was standing, I said "I'll have a water please" to which he immediately responded with, "Sorry, we don't have water" with a big smile on his face as if he were trying to joke with me, but I was not having it. I smiled back in silence until he moved on to take everyone else's drink order. That was the ONLY time he serviced us throughout the whole meal. Well, last night, I discovered what happens when you order your churrascaria from wish.com. Although I usually do not pull punches with input I have for an establishment, positive or negative, but I do like to lean toward objectivity. However, I am struggling to find it at the moment. Firstly, I consider a churrascaria to be one of the last bastions of accessible, upscale dining and service, short of a Michelin Star destination or similar. That being said, Vila Brazil fails at that, on almost every level. I can only imagine that the 4.6 star rating that I had seen was farmed from a collection of patrons who had never experienced a "real" or typical churrascaria. The food is passable, but the "pre-game" bar of salad and other offerings was the first disappointment. From the selection on the salad bar to the meat, everything was bland, minimally seasoned, and of marginal quality. Ok, I get it, Vila Brazil is about $10-$20 cheaper than the aforementioned standard, so if we had coasted with that scenario, no big deal. But alas, it was not to be so... The service was beyond infuriating. Most of them did not seem the least bit interested in making any kind of positive impression for the restaurant. Typically, when the party is finished with what they had selected from the salad bar, plates are swapped out for clean ones, in anticipation of the meat parade. At that point in our experience, my daughter had excused herself from the table to visit the restroom. When our server brought three clean plates for our party of four, I asked for an additional plate. The server responded that she had thought my daughter went back to the salad bar (from which she would have come back with a plate from the bar), which I would consider an honest mistake, if not for her annoyed tone as a response. She then proceeded to all but ignore us for the remainder of our visit, unless directly called. The meat servers, or gauchos, were careless, sloppy, and inattentive. "Meat temperature? What's that?" One, in particular, began slicing a flank steak from his skewer... across the table, and juts his chin at me. I asked if I was really expected to reach across the table for the portion he was offering... a second chin-jut. I must, however, point out one particular gaucho that was a bright spot. Brian was attentive, enthusiastic, and interactive, and definitely stands out amid his poorly-performing peers. The second star on this review is for Brian. Today we took my T1 diabetic son here for lunch for his 24th birthday. I made reservations online the other day, and let them know that we would be celebrating his special day. This morning I was clobbered with a massive migraine that made me ill, for a while I had debated if going was going to be something I could do. I called the restaurant and asked if we could make our reservations for 15 minutes later, and they happily agreed. Unfortunately my migraine came roaring back, but eventually made it out to the car. Again I called and asked for an additional 15 minutes, and they kindly obliged. When we got there our table was ready, the restaurant was busy and I was immediately impressed at the speed they had us seated. Within minutes we had our drinks and they were coming around with their different meats (pork, chicken,beef) and cinnamon pineapple. There was never a moment that our plates were empty. You could tell the food was expertly cooked, nothing was raw, nothing was over cooked, it was literally just right. All the staff there were so kind and welcoming. They even acknowledged my sons birthday when we were seated (it was a nice touch). At the end of our meal, everyone was satisfied. My twig of a son can seriously put down some food, and hearing he was full after eating was music to my ears. We are not the all you can eat buffet types, so usually he leaves places a little hungry. If it wasn't enough that they acknowledged his birthday verbally, they brought out a slice of cheesecake with a nicely decorated plate and a candle. Even though we agreed this would be a great place to come for celebrations, they really sealed the deal. As a Mom I try hard to make my children's birthdays special, they did that and then some. I mean they REALLY nailed it. The kindness of the staff, the cleanliness, the atmosphere, the food, was just exceptional. I hope that their extraordinary staff sees this, they really made an impact. I should also add that I let them know ahead of time that I was stuck in a wheelchair. I didn't feel like I was shoved in a corner, they had a place ready for me at the table. I didn't feel like I was in anyones way. From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU to everyone there. I know my family is already looking forward to our next meal here.
