Texas de Brazil is always an experience, not just a meal. If you're celebrating a special occasion or simply want to indulge, this is a place that's well worth the visit. From the moment we were seated, the service was attentive, welcoming, and made us feel well taken care of throughout the evening. The endless selection of grilled meats was cooked to perfection, with each cut arriving fresh from the gauchos and full of flavor. I also loved the expansive salad area, which offers so much more than just salad. From artisan cheeses and charcuterie to fresh vegetables, soups, and other sides, there's something for everyone, even before the main event begins. The atmosphere feels upscale yet comfortable, making it a great choice for date nights, celebrations, or when you simply want to enjoy a memorable dining experience. Between the exceptional service, incredible variety, and consistently high quality food, Texas de Brazil continues to be one of my favorite steakhouses. Oh and my favorite?? The caipirinha and the garlic picanha. I'll definitely be back. read more

My daughter wanted to come here, and we had been gifted a Texas de Brazil gift card, so that's ultimately what brought us in. We normally prefer Fogo de Chão, and unfortunately this visit reminded me exactly why. We made a reservation for a party of five: two adults and our three children. From the beginning, there seemed to be an unusual amount of confusion over the fact that we had three kids with us. Three separate employees, including servers and management, asked us how old our children were. I answered every time. What really crossed the line for me was when one of the employees walked up to my 13-year-old son and directly asked him how old he was. The way the question was posed made it seem like there was somehow a right or wrong answer. He hesitated for a second because he was caught off guard, and when he answered "13," she responded, "You had to think about it?" That kind of interaction is completely unnecessary. Whatever your age policy is, ask the parents, explain the policy, and move on. Don't repeatedly question a family and then put a child on the spot like you're trying to catch somebody in a lie. It immediately changed the tone of the entire experience. On top of that, we had to specifically request things like the mashed potatoes and rolls instead of them simply being brought to the table. These are small things individually, but when they keep stacking up, they become the experience. The bigger problem is that Texas de Brazil is no longer competing in a vacuum. Fogo de Chão already provides a better experience in my opinion, and there are more independent Brazilian steakhouses opening that offer great food without the feeling of a large chain fumbling through basic hospitality. The food here was already second to Fogo for us. Add the customer-service experience we had with our children, and I don't see a reason for my family to return or recommend this location. There were simply too many unnecessary disappointments in one visit. read more

Unfortunately, our experience at Texas de Brazil in Addison was disappointing, primarily because of management. When we checked in, the hostess asked for the ages of our children, and we provided them. About halfway through our dinner, a male manager came to our table and again asked for our children's ages. We answered the question a second time and continued with our meal. Apparently, third time's a charm, because shortly afterward, a female manager with curly hair came to our table and asked my son directly how old he was. He was caught off guard by being questioned yet again and stuttered for a moment. Her response was, "Oh, you forgot your age?" My son then told her, "No, I'm 13 years old," and she simply said thank you and walked away. At that point, the entire mood of our dinner changed. Being asked the same question three separate times felt unnecessary and uncomfortable, and the way my son was questioned made the situation even worse. If management had concerns about his age or the pricing of our meal, that could have easily been handled discreetly among staff rather than repeatedly questioning our family and putting a 13-year-old on the spot. Our server appeared to be new, but he genuinely tried his best to accommodate us, and I don't fault him for our experience. Unfortunately, management completely killed the experience for us. We were uncomfortable enough that we decided not to stay for dessert and went somewhere else instead. For a restaurant where you expect to enjoy a nice family dinner, this was extremely disappointing. Better communication between the hostess and management could have prevented the entire situation. Also, just a heads-up for anyone planning to dine here: we were informed that you cannot use a gift card and a military discount simultaneously on the same tab. Something worth knowing beforehand, especially if you're planning to use both. read more

The worst Brazilian steakhouse experience I've had. Had a reservation and was only seated 30 minutes after. Service was terrible - my sister received medium rare/rare meats even after requesting medium. They skipped over her several times, too. We tried giving feedback to the manager, and she was angry with us for not offering feedback earlier when she made rounds. My sister explained she wanted to collect her thoughts on her experience and see if things improved first before complaining. She blamed my sister for accepting pieces of medium rare meat onto her plate and told her she should've rejected it instead, despite explicitly asking for medium prices. Ambiance was terrible too - too loud to have conversation, and stuffy. Save your money and go to one do the other dozen Brazilian steakhouses in DFW. read more

The meats are just right, still warm right off the grille. Garlic shrimp are also part of the dishes they serve. Salad bar & fresh cold cuts & cheeses are superb. The soups are superb ( I loved the lobster bisque) real yummy. Desserts are also fresh & yummy including baby plantains sugared baked. The table bread rolls are small & flavorful. The all you can eat is great! Full service bar & beers are also available. The servers are all over & stay on it! We took our son, Matt for his birthday & he was fully satisfied! The overall service & staff's attentiveness is great! Super Yummy! read more

Definitely need to improve your service. The fact that in order to bring a cake in and eat it there you charge us $20 for our own cake that is just ridiculous and the fact that the guys rarely came around to see if we wanted more meat is ridiculous too. We always had to flag them down in order for them to come our way, so yes, definitely a horrible experience and will not be going back there again, not worth the money. We were looking for a great experience people go to Fogo de Chão. read more

So I was just at this location. I made the reservation on June 1st on open table through the restaurant website. I made the initial reservations at 8:30pm but was told that was not possible but a 8pm and a 9pm was available. I booked the 9pm and went about my day. The day of the reservation I get a call at 8:33pm asking if I was still going to make my reservations and I said I'm on my way. The girl on the phone said they stop taking reservations at 9 and If I'm not there by 9:15 I won't be able to enter. I thought that was strange but just assumed that they were just checking in to make sure I keep the reservation. I get there at 9:10 and my husband walks in first and asked if we could still be seated and they said yes. I walked in and I could just tell how annoyed the hostess was. We get seated and maybe 1 other guest was there. My husband and I were confused but we walked over to the salad bar after the waitress took our drink order. I even asked if the bar was still open because we felt like we weren't suppose to be there. We started eating our salad bar items and they slowly came around with the meat. This is when things went bad, the first cut we got was chicken wrapped in bacon and sausage. The chicken was dry but my husband didn't mind it. Then we got a good piece of picanha and flank but then the other meats tasted dry, old and grey. We told the waitress and she said "that it will take about 15 min" to cook if we wanted a particular cut. We were done by 9:40, we tried the sides and they were old. This was our anniversary dinner that we had been waiting for all day. We got there at 9:10 and were done by 9:40, We asked for our check and I was disappointed. The staff were nice but you could tell they didn't want to be there. Management had no problem letting us leave like that. We didn't get offered dessert or coffee or have management come talk to us. I understand that we made the last reservation but you had 1 week to notify me about the time. I legit feel like I got the scraps for the day. We got charged the dinner price $59 for each and our drinks. If you come here, don't come here after 8:30pm. They knew it was my anniversary because the paper they slip on the table has that information. I am so disappointed, they ruined my anniversary dinner. I strongly advise others to be cautious of this restaurant and be prepared that management will not help. read more

(From August 2024) Heading back to Houston in mid-August, I had a giftcard I needed to use for this place and saw this location on the way back. I decided to be gluttonous and splurge on my appetite here with some meats and the salad bar for lunch. Being my first visit at this brazilian steak chain, I was expecting a meal similar to my experiences at Fogo De Chao. Although not as extravagent, the salad bar options here are solid with cold shrimp, salmon lox, potato salad, charcuterie, and chilled vegetable assortment being good sides for the meats. As for the meats, they were tender although not as flavorful as other brazilian steakhouses I've been to. The filet and lamb were the best. The fries and complimentary plantains are delicious too. The mashed potatoes are somewhat mid so I didn't care for those. Looks like I caught them on a good day since the service was attentive and they seated me at a spot away from the bar area for some privacy which I appreciate. Also got a glass of cab to wash down the food; the wine is priced affordably for a steak place. Given the prices, lunch is a better option as it's almost half the price as dinner for the same experience. I'd be open to coming here again; I'll be sure to stock up on giftcards for this chain! read more

Tip: Always use the reservation system on OpenTable to avoid 1* hour waiting time. I'm here pretty often and each time has always been stellar. Although folks say the meat here is a bit salty, it's way better than Fogo. The meats are super tender and juicy. The savory salty taste paired with the smoky flavor is really addicting. I recommend the flank, bacon wrapped filet, and lamb. Don't be afraid to ask for more than one piece of meat on your favorite cuts. That and if you like your meats rare, the servers will show you different cuts. The salad bar itself is good enough on its own. I love the lobster bisque and the couscous salad. read more

I want to thank everyone from hostesses, to servers to the gauchos for making our visit a great one. I coordinated a surprise birthday gathering & the staff accommodated my group very well. The food was delicious, full of flavor & perfect temperature. There were no apologies offered, simply 20-30 minute wait and we'll call you when your table is ready. we waited for a little bit and ultimately left. i got a phone call almost an hour later telling me my table was ready- i was already at another restaurant, seated with a beverage. i really try to refrain from writing negative reviews, however this was so so disappointing. i had been looking forward to this dinner for some time.. ruined our night. read more

This place is probably one of my favorite Brazilian steak house! We went this Thanksgiving and enjoyed it once again. They have the best buffet with the best meat choices. The place is big but its always super busy and filled which I like because it shows that the place is good. Our server during this Thanksgiving we went was always on top of things (refilling water, taking away finished dishes, asking us if we need any special request of meat). The only downside is that the parking lot is super limited so if you go during busy hours, it's hard to find one and end up doing valet parking. read more

I mentioned, in my last review, how badly things went. I also mention that was not typical for my more than 20 years of eating here. In fact, we have been back about 4 times since our bad experience and frankly, things are back to the way they were, great! In the off chance you are not familiar with Texas de Brazil, it's basically all you can eat meat, brought to your table where you pick out what you want or turn down what you don't. Three different choices of the lamb, too many choices of beef to mention, several chicken options, as well as sausage. The house special and bacon wrapped filet are our favorites! The service here is always excellent, water glass, never gets less than half full. They have great drinks of all kinds as well as great wines. It's a slightly darker atmosphere, feels very upscale, however, many people show up in shorts and flip-flops. Of many of the recently opened Brazilian style steakhouses, it's slightly less for around $50 a person and if you're a senior, there's a discount. I highly recommend going there, it is worth the bit of a drive from where we live in Grapevine... even in rush hour traffic! read more

For the most part, I consider myself pescatarian. I seldom eat any meats other than fish but I still really enjoy Texas de Brazil. I only get the salad bar, so my review has a huge omission since this is clearly the place to eat meat- but for all of you who are tag-a-longs to people who do eat meat, I have great news for you. Texas de Brazil has an extensive array of foods on their self-serve bar that are phenomenal and are more than enough to comprise of a hearty and fulfilling meal. Among my favorite items from the self-serve are the buffalo mozzarella, couscous, rice and beans and of course- the exquisite Lobster Bisque. It's my favorite LB and I make sure to indulge in a big helping of it every time I go. Everything here is great, you cannot go wrong. Also, the desserts are top-notch as well. This most recent visit I had the Crème Brûlée and it was perfection! The decor is slick and is really elevated. However, most people were dressed in shorts and tees. So even though the atmosphere suggests more upscale, the vibe is casual. Overall, for someone like me who only eats from the salad bar, Texas de Brazil is still a great experience and value. Bring your appetite and you'll leave happy! read more

The food was delicious. The place in Addison was full of people. Everyone had a great experience.

We came early on Sunday evening, so we were able to get seated immediately. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive the entire visit. I'm pretty low maintenance so I rarely even factor in attentiveness but the staff here is next level and it definitely deserves mentioning. The restaurant is very clean, classy enough where you wouldn't be out of place in a suit but you could be relatively casual and still feel comfortable. I saw the full range of dress while I was there but I'd say a majority of people were dressy casual. Now for the food - I used to be the one to skip the salad bar and get straight to the meat sweats like a savage, but this time, I came dedicated to making the salad bar an intentional part of the meal like a civilized person. I'm sure glad I did! Lobster bisque - loved it. I probably could have made a meal out of it with 6 bowls, but again I'm trying to not act like a lunatic in here. There were a lot of fresh selections on the salad bar - all very good. Try the potato salad! Now to the meat - there were so many different selections that came around, I truly couldn't count. There was beef, lamb, chicken, sausage, bacon wrapped jalapeños - the typical selection you'd expect at a good Brazilian steakhouse. What I haven't seen before but saw here were beef ribs and three different styles of lamb. I didn't try the beef ribs but they looked amazing! Now, I'm not a lamb fan, I've really tried and I keep trying, but I just don't like lamb - except for here at Texas de Brazil. I tried all of the lamb - the chops were by far the best. The chops here are the best I've had anywhere in the world and I've had plenty of lamb in various Middle Eastern countries which, by my estimation, have been cooking lamb since before Abraham so they've probably got it dialed in. Texas de Brazil has their lamb chops dialed in even better than the cradle of civilization that has been cooking lamb for thousands of years. Take it for what it's worth - like I said, I don't typically like lamb. The other two lamb selections tasted like lamb and they didn't move my needle like the chops did. Chops - absolutely would get again. Picanha and leg of lamb, still not for me. read more

The perfect place to gather for a celebration. Come hungry so you can try all/most of the delicious meats offered, paired with very tasty sides. The salad bar is included and deserves to be visited, but save room for the meat (picanha) that keeps coming until you say when. Don't forget to try the bacon before you enter a meat coma! read more

We had a 4:00 reservation on Mother's Day and we weren't seated until 5:00 - over an hour after checking in (we checked in at 3:45). I understand it's a busy day, but what's the point of a reservation if you're going to be made to wait that long with zero acknowledgment or apology. We were told that they "overbooked" and that's why we had to wait so long. Once we were finally seated, it took another 15 minutes before our waiter even came by. We ended up helping ourselves to the salad bar because we were starving. He eventually took our drink order, and just a few minutes into our salads - while our meat card was stilled turned to red - we were suddenly being served meat with no clean plate or sides (bananas, mashed potatoes, fries...that we had to ask multiple times for). When we were finally ready for meat and had our card on green, we were ignored repeatedly. The servers skipped our table over and over, serving all the tables around us. It got so bad, the table next to us actually had to call the manager over because they also weren't being served any meat. Texas de Brazil, I get that it was a busy day, but do better, at least apologize for the long wait and inconvenience. You overbooked and clearly couldn't handle the crowd - and the service suffered big time. We felt completely overlooked. read more

Meat service is lousy. We were asked what we liked we said picanha, lamb chops. From the moment we walked in, the hostess looked unhappy to be there. This should have been a red flag but we were only here for my friends birthday. It took us a solid 5 minutes to even get water... we got bread before we even got water. The meats took forever (literally forever) and the ones that came around were all repeat meats. For almost $60 a person I expected much better service. We had a few instances where the guys taking meats around would see our table marker was green and literally move on to another table. There were times we didn't have refills or even water refills. The only reason we came here was because EG steak didn't have reservations until 9pm. Save your money and don't go to any other Brazilian steakhouse except for EG Steak in front of stonebriar mall. Ps they also do nothing for birthdays soooo... hard pass! I've been to a good amount of different Texas de Brazils and this is by far my favorite! We didn't make a reservation and when we put our name down, we were told the wait was about 40 min but we were able to be seated in 20. Our server was also super attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. And this is the first location I've been to that also served fries as one of the sides at the table. (also i feel like the pao de queijo was bigger but idk if that is actually the case) What I like most about this location is how all the meats come around so often. In my other experiences, the meat takes forever to come out so you're busy filling yourself with the sides. And then they only bring out the chicken and sausages. And then once you start slowing down, they bring out all the good stuff all at once. But from when we sat down, all of the meat was rotating around and we got to have as much picanha as we wanted before we got too full! My only complaint - I wish I didn't get full so fast because everything was delicious and I wanted more! read more

I booked a reservation here to celebrate a birthday. I had a party of 9 and they stuck us in a small room with limited space. It felt very snug and I felt I was maneuvering between guests and their tables as I went to and from the salad bar. The restaurant itself is beautiful but I don't think the food makes it worth the high pricing. It is all you can eat but we felt overwhelmed by the amount and pace of meat being offered. Maybe if they slowed down a bit, and only send a couple of options at a time, it could be a calmer environment. I do like that it's "kid friendly," as in, I didn't feel bad bringing my children and was pleasantly surprised when they had high chairs. Everything tasted good except for the lobster bisque. There were no real pieces of lobster in it and something about the flavor was off. The parking lot is tiny and we were lucky to find one spot! They offer valet parking for a tip. So just a heads up. Overall, it was a nice experience but I won't be coming back since there are plenty of other places to try next. read more

My mother and I went to Texas De Brazil tonight with a friend, I would like to take the time to compliment the waitperson and the person she was training for the quality job they both did. Having had good service in the past I find their job quite exceptional. I would also like to compliment the people doing the job of meat selection. I found them to be quite friendly and quite helpful for the entire evening and made me remember why I like coming there and wishing I could go more. The manager also being quite friendly and asking us how our evening was going and if we needed anything made the experience quite enjoyable. I did have a chance to inform her myself of how I liked the quality job everyone did as well. The evening was quite pleasant in an enjoyable atmosphere that makes me want to continue to come back, it was a great night and I hope when we return it continues to be as well. Texas de Brazil - The great Calypse that I get from the Chicken stop crazy - Brazilian Near Me - Addison, Texas

Not a big writer of reviews but had to compliment Texas de Brazil. I had never been before as I am a die hard for other Brazilian Steakhouses in the city so I had no expectations. When I looked at the salad bar, I didn't think it lived up to the others but I was wrong. It had everything I love including hearts of palm, all the delicious cheeses, very crispy and fresh salad choices, and even delicious lobster bisque! I could have just made a meal out of the salad bar, but I'm glad I didn't stop there. The meat: the variety was the best I've had anywhere, the choices kept coming with different types of lamb, picanha, shrimp, filet, spicy meats, sausage, ribs, etc. I did not try everything but my favorites were the picanha, flank steak, and lamb chops. These were so tender and juicy, truly way better than at any other Brazilian restaurant. Next up the flavor, everything had a really nice charred appearance and flavor. When we complimented that to the waiter he explained that they use charcoal and not gas to cook all their meats. It made a difference. Lastly, the service was excellent. We had a waiter that has been there 18 years. That says a lot about the restaurant. We talked to him about Brazilian food and learned a lot. Everyone was so attentive and pleasant on top of an already great food experience. Thanks Texas de Brazil. You have new customers! read more

Meat quality has gone way way way down. We used to go 3-4 times a year, this time we haven't been in 6 months and normally spend close to 2 hours, laughing and talking during our meal because we enjoyed it so much. This time we were done in 30 minutes because we could not eat the meat. The texture was off , the color was strange, the grizzle was excess...what have you done? You even destroyed the caperinias! Are the profits more important than your reputation?? What used to be an enjoyable dining experience was a disappointment and a let down. $175 with tip, no desert, no 2nd drinks...we would have spent more but just could not go on with the meal. read more

Very disappointed in our recent visit. We were there on 2/13. The seating at this location is cramped. The tables are so close you can get between them without touching the other table. The makes it very difficult for the wait staff and meat servers. Once we were seated, I asked our server for the wine list and was informed we do not have one. She then began to list their signature drinks. I asked what Pino Noir they have and was told that they do not have tht. I asked about Caberernet and was told they have a house one. I aked to try and we ordered bottled water for the table. So she takes the water glasses away . I did not care for the red that she put a sample glass, mind you I nevr saw the bottle or brand. So we stuck with water.Note this was losss of potential sale for them. Then we turn to the food. The salad bar is lacking compared to their competitors. The meat service was very inconsistent and slow. I realize this was a packed house, but again due to the layout it is hard for the servers. The meats that we did get were fair. One serving of flank steak was over cooked and tough, One serving of Picanha was just bland. Overall I would not recommend this location as there are better choice nearby read more

Great experience for my fiancés birthday! Our waiter was knowledgeable, checked in frequently, and was accommodating. The food at this location was better than another one I had been too! The salad bar was fresh and well stocked. The meat selection was fantastic! The spicy sirloin is my new favorite. The servers kept coming at a good pace and it wasn't overwhelming. As for desserts, our table got almost 1 of everything. The crème brûlée, Banana pie, and coconut cheesecake really stood out though. I have been to other Brazilian steakhouse, but this was my first time at this one. The restaurant is gorgeous, lots of rich reds, browns, and gold in the decor. The meat rotated through frequently and was delicious. I didn't get any pictures because I was too busy eating it. This steakhouse had a larger variety of meat than any other I have been to. The lamb came as chops, shank, and leg; all were moist and delicious. The salad bar had a huge variety of cold and several warm sides as well. The table was delivered sides of garlic mashed potatoes, sugared bananas (not plantains which was disappointing), and French fries (boring). I love fried polenta, and this was the only Brazilian steakhouse I have been to that didn't have it. The cheese bread was warm and delicious, and I love that it's gluten-free as well. read more

food (3/5): i personally think the food was average. i actually enjoyed the salad bar more than the meat itself. some of the meats are good, but i personally don't think it's worth the price. my favorite meats were the lamb and mignon, but i can get it better somewhere for the same price. the other meats were okay. however, we never got suggested all the meats-it was mainly beef and steak. we got offered pork and sausage once, never chicken. so, i don't really know much. however, i did enjoy the salad bar options and the cinnamon plantains! service (4.3/5): we were a party of 7. we had 2 servers, but mainly 1. he provided mediocre service. however, there was a man who was training here in Dallas to gain experience for the opening of the first texas de Brazil in Hawaii. He was so sweet, relatable, and a great conversationist. I really enjoyed his service more than our designated server. The people who walk around with the meats were very nice as well.
