Johnathan, Emily, Jasmine and Helen went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and that our dining experience was exceptional, especially Johnathan. He was their customer experience rep, he was wonderful and added to the experience. The food was absolutely delicious. The variety of meats was outstanding, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. Our experience was disappointing from start to finish. We had a confirmed 7:30 PM reservation through OpenTable but were not seated until around 8:15 PM because the restaurant said the previous guests had not left. I understand delays can happen, but a confirmed reservation should mean something. Waiting that long without any apology or effort to make things right was frustrating. Once we were finally seated, the service never recovered. We spent much of the meal waiting for meat to come to our table. Our card stayed on green most of the time, yet several gauchos carrying meat walked past us without stopping. We watched the same nearby tables receive multiple rounds while our table was frequently skipped. We had to ask our waitress several times just to receive basic meat service. The quality of the meat was also inconsistent. Some cuts were overcooked, dry, or heavily charred, and several of the more popular selections rarely came to our table at all. For the price this restaurant charges, I expected much better organization, better service, and much better quality control. My Overall Rating - 3 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - The Fogo de Chão in North Irving is one of the most beautiful locations. My first impression began when I entered the parking lot of this standalone restaurant where I saw a beautiful mural of a tree. On the inside, there's a dedicated bar, visible wine cellar, and plenty of seating. A little smaller in size than other locations limit the number of tables and reduces the size of the Market Table. When it gets crowded the entire restaurant can be cramped, but overall, a beautiful space. 1 Star. Service - At Fogo de Chão, you don't have one server, you have an entire team to help you enjoy your experience. The gauchos run around with skewers of meat while dedicated runners will bring you sides. Your server will help grab a new plate. On my last visit, we had a primary server and a trainee. It led to some slight delays but didn't impact my visit overall. 1 Star. Food - How the mighty have fallen. Fogo de Chão is the original, but in a crowded industry (which it defined), it is no longer the leader. The cuts of meat are still well-seasoned, and my favorite cuts are the lamb chops, bottom sirloin, garlic Picanha, and regular Picanha. These are always good (medium rare), but other cuts are hit and miss. But the biggest let down is the Market Table. It's only half the size of tables at other Fogo locations. And when things get busy, this area gets very crowded. Also, someone needs to refill the basket of bacon. 1/2 Star. Will I Return? - Only when convenient. One thing that Fogo has going for is their rewards program. I'll admit, I signed up for it and the benefits I receive are worth returning for. The restaurant looked great and felt fancy to my guests. The gauchos were awesome! Food was really good but service was disappointing. Had to ask 3 times for a glass of wine, about 18 mins. We waited 25 mins for dessert and requests for bread and the like were forgotten or we had to ask multiple times. It was a Sunday evening and most of the tables were empty. Such a pity, this was a birthday dinner- not at all as fun as it was supposed to be. 10mins for cold $5 plain coffee at this level restaurant isn't acceptable. read more

This review is of the all day happy hour at Fogo. It's absolutely amazing. The ambience of the restaurant is superb. The all day happy hour is in the bar area and the patio area. Both areas are really nice. Our bartender/waitress was Jordan. She was amazing. She was very attentive, gave many suggestions, brought extras for us to try and made the experience memorable. We will definitely be back. I had the cucumber mint splash cocktail. It was refreshing, strong, and very tasty. I can't wait to go back and try another cocktail. We tried the lobster and shrimp tacos and the lamb chops. The lobster and shrimp taco were delicious. The lamb chops were also very good. I've visited this location twice now and my experience was similar both time. Going for lunch/brunch is not super busy and easy to get a table. The salad bar is well stocked. The servers are attentive and come around often. The meat service comes out is waves. There are long pauses and then too many at once, but overall not a big issue. What I do think is an issue is that both times, the lamb chops did not come out until I specifically requested them toward the end of the meal despite other meats coming out multiple times. If a meat option is advertised it should be in the rotation and not held in the back until someone asks for it. There were also many flies/gnats flying around our table. More the first visit, but present at both. Overall the food and service is good. Just request the lamb early if you want to see it more than once. read more

Been here many many years ago and brought my customer here recently, a large group. The process of booking was very simple and the group sales was one of the most easy I've done. The have one of the most extensive salad bar options plenty of vegetarian options. To be honest I enjoyed it more than the meat option. Brought my family here for Surf and Turf special including two kids. The food was good but surprisingly only saw half the cuts of meat come by that were listed. Missed the grilled pineapple other locations had but they have pork belly and fried cheese never seen at other Brazilian steakhouses. The salad bar had a great selection. Brace yourself the Caipirinha was the strongest I've had at a restaurant tasted more like a margarita. All was good till we received the bill and they charged adult pricing for my entire party including my 6 and 10 yr olds who normally would cost a total of $30 vs $120 without ever mentioning if I order Surf and Turf menu kids will be charged for adults. When I mention to our waiter he came back and said their is actually no discount for kids with the special (no where says this) but they will give me $40 off...so still paying $80 for 2 kids I expected to pay $30 for. My 6 yr old ate more oranges than anything else. It seemed unfair business practice. read more

As you can imagine, every time I drove past this restaurant on the way from Shabbat services, I kept telling myself that I would stop by and eat there. Well, today was the day. Fogo De Chao, located in North Irving, TX., Walking into this restaurant is like stepping into sure elegance, well maintained, very clean, neat well organized. Even the outdoor seating area was well organized. As we walked in we were promptly greeted by Mr. Oscar, the manager, with a great smile, welcoming demeanor, polite very efficient and he led us to our table. As he led us to our table he gave the impression that we were the only two customers that mattered the most. The atmosphere of this restaurant is mostly quiet, they have music playing but you can still carry a conversation without any problems. Our server was Mr. Maycol, very welcoming polite and extremely efficient. He took our drink order which we opted for water and we the full Churrasco @ $49.00 each. The young lady Ms. Sierra, the sweetest waitress, with the prettiest smile, polite, efficient and moved with grace and purpose brought us our drinks and was very attentive as well. I couldn't believe how expedient all there servers wereand moved with such grace and well organized. Mr. Khalil, server, and Mr. Jonathan, customer service representative, also stopped by our table and asked how we were enjoying our meal. Although we were not the only customers in this gorgeous restaurant they made us feel like we were. The food served here is top notch without question. Walking to the salad bar, in of it's self was a feast your eyes dancing from food item to food item neatly displayed. The chicken salad was utterly amazing and it was paired nicely with the lettuce, arugula, etc. Then the full array of meats started coming to our table, from lamb, beef rib, rib eye steak, chicken, and other meats I can't clearly remember as well as roasted cheese with honey it was so good you want to slap your momma. The beef rib, I highly recommend, the taste is unbelievable, I wasn't to keen in the taste of the lamb, but the rib eye, and other beef meats so delicious and very tender. Then came time for deserts, which we got a chocolate molten cake and side of blue belle vanilla ice cream for $13.00 and cheesecake brulee $12.25. Both desserts were truly amazing. From service to food all was amazing. Mr. Oscar, is a great manager it's indicative, in how his staff carried their selves very attentive, ready and willing to serve a great reflection of Mr. Oscar. On the off chance anybody reads my review or cares about the follow-up, there was none. I emailed their team with my information, as requested in the response to my Yelp review, along with my hours of availability. They called me at 6 PM on a Sunday. They never returned my call after I called and left a message, nor did they respond to any emails I sent after they ghosted me. It vexes me that they'd reach out in any way to communicate they'd like to try to make it right to actually avoid talking with me as their response indicates they'd like. It's all optics. read more

We love Fogo! I often go to another location for work but this was my first time to the Irving location & my husbands first time ever. We went for his bday & he was in absolute heaven! The server started off really great. My husband got a drink he ended up not liking & the server didn't hesitate to offer something else. We got a pink cocktail (can't remember the name but it's fantastic). Downside is there are a lot of fruits & ice so we went through them fast & we didn't see our server much later into the meal so we didn't order more drinks. The salad bar was excellent as always. The bacon is so good it should be illegal. The salad options are always fresh & it's hard to hold back from getting a lot of everything. The meats are all good but my top choice is the house steak & my husband's was one of the lamb options. Some of the other options had less flavor but still good. They were so sweet & gave my husband a dessert for his bday. The tres leches is by far the best. I enjoy their other desserts but the tres leches left us speeches. If you just go for the dessert you won't be disappointed! The full experience of Fogo is amazing. I loved the intimacy of this location & looking forward to going back in the future. read more

Made this special night amazing as our son is about to married in a couple weeks and we were celebrating. Thankyou for such amazing service. She did us so good on the Brazilian bread as well . A late review from our July 29th visit. I started this review but something came up and was not able to submit it til now since something made be remember my experience here! A HUGE disappointment that ruined it all. We used to love going to Fogo de Chão with the family often when we lived in Louisiana. It has been a long time since we have been and was super excited to celebrate my husband's birthday here, but with the experience we had, my husband refuse to visit another location ever again. Service was terrible. Meat was dry but we wanted to still get our fill of what was decent, which didn't happen either. We ended up spending 2+ hours here due to the lack of service provided. We were visited maybe a total of 5 times with meat offerings. Though we left our tag on green to keep the meats coming, they never came back. We saw other tables near the kitchen get visits as we sat. I had to call the server twice to see what was going on. We left very unsatisfied. I'm not sure what is going on but we also saw another table near us have the same issue! read more

I'm in town for work and although there's a Fogo less than a mile from where I live and have been before, I'd forgotten what fun dining experience this can be especially with staff as wonderful as this location has. Everyone we encountered, from front hostess to the different servers to the meat runners to managers, were all so attentive to our needs! If you've not been, please come hungry! Your experience will come with full access to the "salad" bar which at this location included candied bacon, roasted garlic, charcuterie meats, chicken and pasta salads. Your meal will also come with complimentary Brazilian bread/rolls, plus other sides such as garlic mashed potatoes and fried plantains which they bring to your table separately. On each table are coasters which you turn over depending on whether you want them to keep bringing you meat, or if you're OK at the moment. Expect a variety of different cuts of preparations of beef, a handful of chicken and pork, and some lamb as well. This place is a haven for carnivores such as myself, and will even cater to requests such as "rare" cut or "medium well" etc if they have it. I think they have happy hour every day, with a few appetizer items if you don't want the full churrasco experience, and some cocktails and wines on happy hour price well. Wednesdays are half off on South American bottles of wine too. I was in my suit coming from work and felt at home, though I think I would have been equally comfortable in jeans and a decent shirt. The decor is similar to other locations, and this is a great spot for celebration meals, group outings, or just a nice big evening meal after a hard day's work. It's our first time at this location. It's only been open for about a year. I stopped eating at Fogo de Chão years ago, as I felt their service had diminished. Thought I'd try this new location to see if things had improved! Spoiler alert, at least for this visit, it's still bad! It's a great looking location, both inside and out! Most of the tables have a white table cloth. The salad bar, has a wide variety of selections... like most Brazilian steakhouses! We like lobster bisque soup, but here, they only serve tomato mozzarella. It's your typical Brazilian style steakhouse where they bring the meat to you, however, apparently you can order from the menu. Upon our arrival and seating, they asked if there was anything we wanted in particular. I said we really enjoy the Picanha and the bacon wrapped fillet mignon. I was told they do not have bacon wrapped fillet, however, they do have fillet. We got the Picanha fairly quickly... it was okay. After initially, getting one small fillet, and requesting more. I repeatedly asked for more fillet. At one point, they apologized and said they would have it out in eight minutes. 15 minutes later I asked where it was and nearly 25 minutes after asking for it finally arrived. Twice my ($6.50 per) glass of strawberry lemonade sat empty. First time, I had to ask for a refill, took over 5 minutes to get it. Second time, two different servers asked if I wanted a refill, but didn't get it until I asked a third time. $6.50 per glass (which was at least 50% ice) is unreasonable, especially when you get such bad service! The real issue was; it was like nobody was actually in charge of delivery, while multiple people ask what we wanted, getting our request fulfilled, simply did not happen in a reasonable manner / timeframe. The amazing thing, is how many people they actually have working... But not delivering! Had to ask twice for a dessert menu... once it was ordered it took over 15 minutes to deliver it. Based on this experience, I see no reason to come back, or recommend it. read more

I don't know what was going on the day we went but everything from the service to the food was absolutely horrible. I have been to Fogo de Chão several times and never had any issues until I went to this one. Me and 2 other guys came here after work because we were celebrating a job we completed and it was the worst celebration ever! We came about 4:30 and I guess that's not a good time to go but it shouldn't be that way. The service wasn't very good either because we were waiting for refills on our drinks for a while and they kept only bringing out like 3 different meats to choose from. We were not dressed up and we were in work clothes so I don't know if that had anything to do with it or not but if it was my money spends just as good as the next person. read more

I've been to several Fogo de Chão locations and usually enjoy the full experience, but this visit was a letdown. We paid for the full churrasco experience for our family, yet--just like many other reviewers mentioned--we were mostly served the cheaper meats. We never saw ribeye, lamb chops, filet, or beef ribs, which are supposed to be part of the full offering. The gap between servers bringing meats was long, and when they did come around, it was often the same few cuts on repeat. Our waitress was very nice and attentive, and we appreciated her service. But with so many high-end churrascarias in town that actually deliver on their promise, we won't be giving this location a second chance. read more

Definitely an experience for anyone who would like to eat their fill or taste the delicious variety of meats. Meat sweats are expected. It's not just meat though, because the salad bar is fully stocked with tasty selections. I started there and got a little bit of everything just to try and get my greens in. The meats were good but the Wagyu with lobster enhancement was definitely on another level. Definitely recommend this for the table. The place is very well kept and pretty fancy. The lunch time is definitely bustlin' so be sure to get a reservation. At the beginning the servers came around regular but after just a little bit it felt like they focused on other tables more and left us a bit wanting. It was busy but whole table had green tags up and not so much as a check in from out main server till much later. Still was good time but a little more service would've gotten the full 5 stars. This is our second time at Fogo de Chao at this location, and we recommended our family to dine with us. However, there were a few things that brought down our 5 star experience down to 3: 1) They never answer the phone. I attempted to call this location & left a voicemail to call me back on 2 different occasions, & I never received a call back. 2) We were a table of 6 today, & we were sitting at a corner of the restaurant. The servers were attentive my husband, mom, dad, & me. However, they frequently left before offering any food to my sister & her girlfriend (who were sitting at the other end of the table). I often had to grab someone's attention & ask for meats for them. 3) I felt bad for the other guests dining near us. I understand that the usual dinner times got busy, but staff dropped a plate or bowl on 3 different occasions. In a sense, it was lucky that these dishes hit the floor because one nearly fell on a woman at a nearby table! I made reservations for a birthday and was absolutely blown away by the good service here at Fogo de Chao. This location is way less crowded and has ample parking right outside compared to the Plano location at Legacy West which is always busy. This location is also relatively newer from what I've read. For 3pm on a Sunday, literally right after the brunch crowd the place was still churning out new patrons. I would highly recommend coming during a lull in the brunch hour rush as it ended around 2pm. I've been to Fogo many times so for starters I've asked for the beef ribs to be put into the kitchen right away. The usual cheesy bread (addictive!), fried plantains, mashed potatoes, and chimichurri along with hot sauce were brought out to the table. Also the ribeye was done just to my liking. Fogo is too fancy to have the whole song and dance do a birthday song. Our waitress did bring out a NY creme brulee cheesecake (high recommended) with a birthday candle and happy birthday written on the plate I have massive meat sweats just from thinking about my experience.
