Reality! Smaller than my hand. (I have small hands too)
    Lexi R.

I ordered the catfish platter for my toddler and I to share. I've had Razoos many times at different locations so I knew this would be more than enough food. Turns out the catfish is now smaller than a chicken strip. Not sure what happened to the portions but this was not worth $20 and was not enough food even for 1 person and I don't each much to begin with.

What they advertise and what they give out.

Overall, I'm really dissatisfied with my experience at this Razzoos location. I asked for a 1/2 pound crab boil and I received that. It looks like the legs have just been sitting on a counter or somewhere for hours. When I got my order, the legs and everything looked gray, not appetizing and not even edible looking in a way. They were extremely salty and they were pretty cold when I got it and my waiter didn't even ask if I wanted corn or stuff on the boil so I had imagined it already came with and even if it didn't, I feel like they should've at least asked but oh well. It was an embarrassing experience since I was on a date and I receive that while my partners meal looks half decent but way better than whatever I got. Staff was not rude, but not friendly either. I don't think I'll come back again.

Razzoo's is a pretty decent place when you want "faux" fast Cajun-esque food. The ambiance attempts to give that Cajun Louisiana feel and it's not the worst thing in the world. People come here for the drinks and the food. Our server was nice and attentive and was nice enough to answer my questions. Fried pickles: 8/10 I honestly never thought I would like fried pickles, but ever since I had them at Razoos I really do enjoy them and I get them every single time I come here. The best part to me is that they are chips and not those dang spears chips. Lake Charles creole chicken: 6/10 what missed the mark for me on this dish was the chicken and the mashed potatoes which I subbed instead of the rice. The chicken tasted weird and it didn't taste like chicken I honestly don't know what it was. It was like chewing cardboard - that's the best way to describe it. The mashed potatoes weren't terrible, I just wish they were smoother and didn't have chunky potatoes. I'm not a chunky potato person. I'd like my mashed potatoes smooth. The tomato sauce could've used a little more flavor maybe some basil or garlic or some thing but it was decent. I enjoy the string beans no matter how canned they may be, and the garlic bread was good too. Peach bread pudding: 4/10 you get a nice size piece of this bread pudding, which looks really good. I ordered the sauce on the side just in case. In tasting this bread pudding, it was missing something for me. The flavor wasn't there. It could've used some more cinnamon or maybe vanilla but something was missing. I also didn't realize that it had chunks of peaches in it. I guess I should've read the menu a little more closely. I did appreciate how hot it was when it came out...nice and warm! Maybe some vanilla bean ice cream would do the trick or even some fresh whipped cream.

Babe and I dine here maybe twice a year and it never disappoints. The HH specials are definitely what keep us coming back. I must say our last visit was the best yet thanks to these bomb azz chicken wings. OmG freshly cooked, juice, tender, seasoned to the Godz ya hear me?!? The cocktails are always on point as well. Our waiter was excellent to say the least. In addition I appreciate that the staff works together to manage a clean and friendly environment for their customers.

I passed by Razzo's the other day and saw that they had this big ole sign "Crawfish Are Here." I've never tried their boiled crawfish and thought I'd give it a shot. I went online to order but there were no boiled crawfish the menu. I get it. It's seasonal. So, I called to order and was told they have to be ordered in person. But why? Take out is take out. Eventually, I went in and placed the order. I had a cocktail while I waited. Razzos, allow your customers to order boiled crawfish over the phone, especially since you all require payment over the phone. The were simply okay.

If you enjoy Chili's, you'll probably like Razoo's. Basically, if Chili's served Cajun-inspired seafood, it'd be Razoo's. It's fine. It's a safe choice. I give this restaurant a "Maybe" recommendation. The service was great. We were promptly seated, the server was attentive and the food came out as it should. I have two 'never acceptable' pet peeves. First, never let my drink glass become empty. Second, don't bring the entrée while we're still eating the appetizer. I'm happy to say that their timing was excellent. As I stated in my introduction, the food is okay. I certainly would not go out of my way to eat at Razoo's. With that said, let's dive into the details, but first, a pro tip: Sign up in advance for the rewards "Krewe" program. We scored a complimentary appetizer worth $13.49. That's a win! Here's what we ordered and our impressions. For our complimentary appetizer, we ordered the CRISPY FRIED GATOR TAIL: Gator tail fried crispy, seasoned fries and cocktail sauce. It was hot, tender, and only mildly spicy. I thought it was delicious. I will say though, I'm trusting it was gator. The nuggets were extremely small and could have been anything. I'm reasonably confident I can say that I ate fried meat nuggets and have no complaints. For entrees, we ordered a shrimp dish and a fried fish platter. The STUFF'D SHRIMP includes medium sized shrimp with seafood stuffing and topped with lemon butter sauce. Served with white rice, green beans (changed out for coleslaw) and garlic toast. It was served in a hot cast-iron skillet, which was a nice touch. There was definitely a Cajun flare to this dish. So, if you're not crazy about Cajun spices, consider ordering something more neutral. Overall, it was nicely presented and all around pretty good. The second entrée was the SEAFOOD COMBO PLATTER, which included hand-battered fried shrimp, two small fish filets and crawfish tails. Served with a choice of two sides & dipping sauces. Overall, it was boring. I wished I'd made a bolder selection. There was an unexpected culinary adventure with this meal that's worth an honorary mention. The meal came with a cherry mustard dipping sauce, which is, um, well, different. My wife loved it. Me, not so much. Imagine if maraschino cherries were blended with coke and sorghum; at least, that is my opinion. My wife thought it tasted like a yummy Asian sauce and brought it home for the leftovers. On a brighter note, don't miss the sweet tea. It is the real deal and tastes like your Southern grandma stirred up a batch to share. Gotta drink this! The ambiance is a New Orleans jazz dive, with interesting wall murals and gritty jazz playing in the background. It was quiet when we were there, which was off-peak time. And not to be missed, they have a full bar and a wide cocktail menu. Perhaps consider coming early for some pre-dinner cocktails at happy hour. Overall, Razoo's is fine. There's plenty of food and drink menu options for you to enjoy. If you're nearby, drop in. If you're closer to a mom-and-pop Cajun dive, go there instead.

    5-2024 Blackened Chicken Salad

5-17-2024 First time at this location, my go to meal the salad with blackened chicken was delicious. Staff was friendly we did have an issue with one of the meals they rectified the situation by making a replacement meal but nothing more, it really did shift the whole course of the meal, lopsided timing wise as I awkwardly nibbled trying to wait. My meal was close to being finished by the time his meal was being served.

Most of the time I get the Catfish platter with jalapeños sauce. This time I decided to take advantage of the 2 for $20 menu as featured. Shrimp was very tasty and a decent sized, mixed in with signature spicy sauce and rice. Not usually a fan of rice, but be assured it was cooked and blended in very nicely with platter. They changed the green bean side, again, and not for the better. Please go back to the old way of doing it, resist the pressure. Anyway the beer was cold, staff was very efficient and nice. Definately will be back.

I love coming here for drinks. Michelle is such a great bartender and has overall amazing service. Always look forward to seeing her!

DFW is massive. My friend was 30 mins late, but I wasn't trippin. I used that time to charge my phone and get a little work done. We didn't have a resy, but were seated right away. First of all, this place is massive. We both started with the espresso martini before realizing they had a happy hour menu. Our second drink was from the hh menu even though we had no business having a second cocktail. To start, we shared the fried green tomatoes. For whatever reason, we both ended up getting the western burger. Food was great. There was so much of it that I was only able to finish half and ended up taking the rest home. Great service as well. The place was crowded by the time we left. We only planned to stay for 45 minutes, but ended up staying for nearly 2 hours. Big thanks to the bartender. I went back to the airport a little tipsy after 2 drinks.

Clearly a popular spot. We shared an appetizer, a steak, sides, and a dessert between us 3. - Fried Tomatoes (appetizer): not bad! Light, not greasy at all, and that savory sauce on top was yummy: - Wagyu Tomahawk: the star of the show. Loved the peppered crust which was full of flavor. Not a true "Japanese wagyu" texture, but still an excellent steak overall. - Sides (mashed potatoes, fries, broccolini, cornbread): All pretty good across the board. I liked the cornbread the most and wished there was more of it. Usually a side of cornbread is much more substantial and comes with honey butter. - Steak sauce: we ask for a side of this. Whatever they had was unique and great. Fruity and tangy, a great complement to the tomahawk. - Pecan Pie: look at the photo! A huge, tall slice. No notes. Loved the dense ice cream on top. Perfect way to end the meal. Overall: no critiques, just an all-around great dinner. Definitely recommend the tomahawk and pie.

My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Tupelo Honey is a stand-alone restaurant conveniently located near Hwy 114 and 161. There's plenty of parking, outdoor seating, and a mixture of tables, booths, and bar seating. Speaking of the bar, it acts as a beautiful backdrop for the entire restaurant. 1 Star. Service - The service is always friendly. Our server is always smiling, and I can't help but feel welcome with southern charm. Tupelo Honey trains its staff well, and I really enjoy coming here and interacting with the staff. 1 Star. Food - I always begin with the Biscuits with a Cause. These light, flakey biscuits are served warm with a crispy exterior and soft, flakey inside. But honestly, the biscuits act as a delivery mechanism for the butter and blue berry jam. I always ask for an extra side of butter and jam because I use it all. On my most recent visit, I ordered the Honey Dusted Fried Chicken (dark). The chicken was perfectly fried, crispy, and sweet. And the dark meat was juicy. Pro Tips - use your hands. Another great dish was experienced. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. I have yet to have a below average dish at Tupelo Honey. Yes, it's a chain. But it's also a darn good chain that keeps its menu fresh and is worth multiple visits. 1 Star.

It was a treat for me to finally visit a Texas Roadhouse restaurant!…read more Yeah, da 808 is kinda behind da times, as we don't have Texas Roadhouse out here, but we got Outback Steakhouse in da 808. Lol! So Tuesday night Carrollton got hit with a storm. Heavy rain, lightening, & thunder. I asked my coworkers if they wanted to head out to dinner, but it appeared that da fella's weren't down wid' it. Luckily, my Big Island coworker was also in Texas the same time I was here, so I reached out to him to see if he was down........sure enough, he was. When in Texas, I guess ya gotta have Texas BBQ at least once.......and being that I have worked in Texas numerous times, I've had more than my share of BBQ Ribs & Brisket in the past. Upon deciding on where to go, we ended up at - Texas Roadhouse in Irving. The Tuesday night we came here, even through the bad weather, the restaurant was still packed! The wait for a table was minimum, and upon getting seated, service was instantanious. I think I was still recovering from the previous night from Japan House, so I didn't want to eat a whole bunch of food. Upon looking over the menu, I ended up with just a BBQ Chicken Sandwich w/Fries. As for my Big Island coworker, he went for da gusto and got a BBQ Ribs & Steak plate. What can I say about the grub? I really enjoyed my BBQ Chicken Sandwich! It was a bit messy with all that sauce, but that's what napkins are for! Lol! Very generous serving of food, and I managed to down all of my sandwich, but left most of my fries behind, as it was just too much food. As for my coworker, he destroyed his BBQ Ribs & Steak plate. I was so happy he enjoyed his meal, as two days before I took him to another restaurant where he ordered a similar combo, but left a lot of food behind (I think his meal wasn't too good at the other restaurant). One more thing about Texas Roadhouse...........have you ever tried the complimentary rolls? Oh my!!!! Da buggah is Winnah's! Overall a wonderful dining experience, and should I ever return to Texas, ya better bookmark Texas Roadhouse on the places to visit for BBQ.

Not even 5 minutes later, we were texted to come back, the we waited another 5 minutes before we were seated. Our server was so nice and she was helpful in selecting our food and giving recommendations. She also was very attentive without being overbearing. Our food was cooked very well and even the salad was super tasty. My friend said it was the best salad he's ever had, lol. The steak was done well and onion blossom was good. I had a good experience dining here and would definitely come back. Splitting our checks was also very simple, our server had no problem with it and it was all done on a tablet after.
