This review pertains to Grapevine location inside food court at large hotel. We ordered the warm lobster roll, fish and chips and bang bang shrimp. The lobster roll was decent but smaller than anticipated, based on the price. Really overall average and overpriced. Fish and chips was hot and tasty but fries were very basic. The "bang bang" shrimp was more like tempura: lame and not tasty at all. The first warning sign was the bored employee who took our order like a robot: no emotion or interest. she was actually restocking drinks as we ordered. Great sandwich from the Harvast Hall Food court. This place in the European style food court in downtown grapevine. The seating there is very generous, with different types of seats from high tables for large to cozy half booth and couchy areas. Sandwich was great. Very heavy, but they give you some lemon to ease it down. Oort gooey cheesy goodness. Lobster was slightly chewy, but still tasted great. Hard to judge the service as you just order from table and hope the food court runner isnt too busy, we usually just pick up food when ready. read more

Between the Maine- and Connecticut-style, I opted for the Maine-style lobster roll with the Chips & Drink combo. The 5-minute wait that the cashier had estimated was fairly accurate. Not mentioned on the menu, the lobster roll was served with a cucumber salad of just a few slices. Initially, the bun seemed overstuffed, but the lobster meat was only placed in the top half. We've enjoyed Dock Local in the past, but this visit wasn't quite as good as we remembered. The lobster in the Connecticut lobster roll was salty and overcooked, and while the brisket nachos started off delicious, the brisket ended up being too salty for our taste as well. The lobster bisque had a nice flavor with bacon and lobster meat, but it was almost too thick. We still love the homemade chips, though. We sat outside at Harvest Hall where there was plenty of shade in the back of the building, but unfortunately, none of the tables had been wiped down. Maybe we picked an off day as our last visit was fantastic. We will try again another day since Dock Local still has a great menu and Harvest Hall has so many great choices! read more

That's all I ask. The fish and chips I ate were OK. The seasoned fries didn't have much, if any, flavor. Fried fish was OK. Not too thrilled with the tartar sauce. Pickles were good. With soda, tax, and tip, it came to $24. On the high side for lunch, but expected for what this is. I imagine to lease the space is expensive. For a Friday at lunch, it was well staffed. The pickles are not fried and I was fine with that since I love pickles. They offer 3 types of lobster rolls - I got the Connecticut one which is the one with warm butter. I also got the queso and a cup of clam chowder. They pack the lobster roll in foil and butter in a little container so it doesn't get soggy while transporting. They give you a good amount of lobster and chips. The chips were so fresh and crunchy! I was really looking forward to eating hear. My husband has been talking about his experience at Harvest Hall for a week. Unfortunately I did not choose as well as him. I order a lobster roll and it did not have the usual zest you expect. I also ordered the crab seasoned chips and special sauce. The chips had very little if any seasoning. Can't say I was a fan of the slaw, not much flavor. I loved the hush puppies! The wife had shrimp and really liked them, but the chips, thinly sliced potatoes, was cold, maybe they are supposed to be, I don't know, if they are, I would strongly recommend they do them fresh for each order. I would also recommend putting more than one paper on the try because everything is so greasy and gets soggy pretty fast if you do not eat it quickly. Over all, it was ok, but certainly not great. Update: The owner responded to my review and seemed to take it seriously. This speaks very well of him. He requested I return after some issues were resolved on him. Food was great! Really great, actually. Atmosphere was very chill and not crazy busy like some other places in Dallas. Though, it was the middle of the week slightly after lunchtime. Very patient and accommodating staff as well. The chips were fresh and delicious, the sandwich was well seasoned and buttered, with the actual meat being soft with the right amount of bite. The fries were great! A little on the thinner side, if that makes a difference for anyone, but they had good flavor with the sauces involved. I was told the lobster bisque was very good, and the Mac n cheese was good. I just couldn't finish it there, but it still tasted pretty good reheated at home! I would highly recommend. The only reason it isn't 5 stars is the prices. I feel restaurants are getting crazy with prices these days, and seafood can be hard to determine what's fair or not, but even still it felt like a lot of money for certain items. I absolutely loved my lobster Mac n cheese! The bacon and crispy chip pieces on top made it extra delicious. It was too gourmet for my 9 year old, thank goodness, so I got to eat his, too! My friend had the warm lobster roll, which she loved with the shoe string potatoes. Everyone tasted the pickles, which were not overpowering, just right.
