My fault for waiting so long to try this place out. It was SO good! I got one barbacoa on flour and a fajita beef on corn and they were both great. Very tender and flavorful. The tacos are $2.50 a pop, and they don't skimp on the filling. Value is hard to come by these days, and the folks here DELIVER. They have a salsa bar with all the condiments in little plastic containers, already packed up. I got the red sauce, green sauce, pico, and lime. Everything I wanted. My order was packed up in a darling little paper bag and I was good to go. I also appreciate that it isn't packed up in plastic. We live in Pittsburgh and authentic Mexican food is hard to come by. Whenever we visit family in grapevine we love to stop in! We got one of just about every taco in the menu and they were all phenomenal! Great flavors and tons of toppings/salsas to choose from. We also tried the coconut milk drink and it was even better than we anticipated though we were sad we didn't come in horchata day! Honestly, when i was driving here i was like, its so random driving this far from the main street. Anyways, we ended up getting two taco burritos and one regular burrito. Both items were great, and we didn't have to wait that long for them to get the food to us. We didn't each here, and actually ordered to go. What i really like about this place is the salsa bar, which they put everything into small containers. Its really easy to get what you want and not make a mess. As for the food, the breakfast tacos were on point. Whatever they used for the tortilla made the tacos extremely tasty. For the tacos, we decided on the bacon and the chorizo. The register & order taking lady was very friendly. She explained everything that comes inside the Barbacoa Burrito (meat, beans, rice) & offered extras. She also described how the Horchata is made from scratch every morning from ground rice & is dairy free. The Horchata was delicious ! It's so rare to be able to buy authentic horchata without the powder or milk added. The burrito was amazing as well ! The barbacoa was so tender & juicy. There was also a salsa bar with various green, red, and pico toppings. The location seems slightly sketch being next to a convenience store & laundromat, but I felt very safe. My food was also served very quickly for a take-out orderdespite many people being at the restaurant. This family-owned Mexican restaurant is one of the best I have been to in the DFW area. I've come here a couple of times and to be honest I'm just not impressed. It was a convenient stop because it's close to home, but both times I was overwhelmed. I've only tried their carne asada and barbacoa street tacos. I guess you can say they're TRYING to be safe during COVID. They have the condiments individually packaged in containers that you can grab on your way out or while dining in, buuuuut the meats are uncovered behind the glass, buffet style. I tried the Jamaica but it was more of an artificial flavored mix. I like the real deal. The dining area is spacious with plenty of seating, but I rarely see people dining in. This is definitely one of the better taco spots I've been to in DFW. Prices are very reasonable and quality of the food is good for what you're paying for. The people here are friendly and they seem to have a reasonable stream of business during the usual eating hours for lunch despite being hidden away from the main highway. The salsas are spicy and delicious. I tried the red and the green, not knowing which one was spicier. Turns out both were packing heat. The establishment is very straightforward, you order the food you want and pick it up then dress it with whatever sauces and accoutrements you'd like from their small station to the right of the food pickup area. Al Pastor Tacos - Tacos were simple and delicious. The al pastor wasn't too dry and the corn tortillas were tasty. First and foremost i have given this place more then enough chances. Their service is not good at all especially their phone ethics very rude. There has been times where I have ordered online and they get my order wrong. When I call they answer and the lady who answered the phone is rude and tells me they don't take over the phone orders, when I have called in orders multiple times. The last order I had was supposed to be two beef fajita tacos with sour team and they added cheese no sour cream had to throw order away and lost my money. I work in grapevine and live in Grand Prairie it took me till today to say something about my order because when I no rice that same day I called immediately and no one picked up and then I had no time to go after work. With this being said we brought it to their attention today after a co-worker who always orders form here told them and they refused to re-make my order told them I waited to long but when I triad calling no one responded to me very poor costumer service. The ambiance you walk in and you have worked sitting at the ya le don't even greet you just stare until you get to the counter. I do not recommend this place what so ever. The corn tortillas are nice and warm from the grill and I like that they can make the tripa crispy when other places don't do that. Highly recommend the Tripa tacos here.
