This was my second time visiting Mi Dia. Went in for lunch. I was so glad my table mates ordered the guacamole. Freshly made and loaded with bacon on top. The salsa was good too, for me, the mark of a good Mexican restaurant. I ordered street tacos and rice with fresh peppers. Everything was so delicious. Good portions and I had leftovers, which I ate a couple of hours later. Definitely recommend.

You will need to find parking along Main Street or nearby lot. Part of a cluster of several different types of restaurants; the sign is not visible from the street. Lots of seating inside and out; outside offers a great view of the common area; a great place for children to play. The tableside made guacamole was absolutely delicious; probably the best I've had!! The steak nachos were recommended by a friend and we were quite delicious. After studying the choices of margaritas available; I decided on hell freezes over. Not only was it fun; the dry eyes lasted forever; it was extremely tasty. The wait staff was friendly, helpful and efficient. I can't wait to go back and try something different and also get the guacamole and margarita again!

Service: 5 stars Food quality: 3.5 stars (I enjoyed the skirt steak and a friend loved the duck tacos) Good for groups: yes

    Brisket tacos. Incredibly good.

Brisket tacos were so good today. And that jalapeno citrus crema - stupid good. Mango margarita doesn't owe me a thing.

Came here for lunch and the ambiance was great! Upscale Mexican. Friendly service and staff. The drinks were great- I got a mocktail that tasted super similar to a pina colada so refreshing. The table side guac was super filling. The queso was good- it was on the thicker side. Chips and salsa were tasty nothing too over the top. The taco salad was huge - beef fajita was tasty and tender. My husband loved his chimichanga. There is indoor seating, bar seated booths etc and then outdoor seating covered on the patio with like misters/fan action? So it was not as hot. They have TVs and a bar outside that did not appear in use but I thought it was a cool add. Definitely would return! Great for date night, lunch with friends or family.

My boyfriend and I went to mia dia for dinner after he got off work and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. We got the watermelon margaritas, which took a while to get to our table, but our server immediately brought out chips and salsa. I love that the green and red salsa comes mixed - it's fun! We split a chicken quesadilla which they warned was spicy but wasn't too bad! It was delicious and creamy. He got a chimichanga which had yummy steak inside. The rice and beans were also fabulous. We sat outside and it was such a good vibe. It wasn't loud and the weather was perfect and we could watch part of the NBA game that was on from where we sat. Our server always made sure we had water.

A great place to grab lunch. Authentic Tex-Mex. The soft shell crab taco were unique and refreshing. The quesadilla was a hit with son and finish every bite of it. Service was quick and friendly in a causal atmosphere.

Stopped by Mi Dia and ordered the lunch special with enchiladas and flautas -- absolutely delicious. Everything came out fresh, flavorful, and well-portioned. The enchiladas were rich and satisfying, and the flautas had the perfect crispy bite. The mango agua fresca was a standout -- super refreshing and paired perfectly with the meal. Great food, great experience. Definitely coming back.

Lunch specials are decent price deals, but you get what you paid for. Lunch Tex-Mex quesadilla was mid--soft with very little meat inside and simply nothing special to it. The lunch two enchiladas and a beef taco combo was also just okay. I really enjoyed the rice and beans with it, but the beef taco was like a crispy beef taco from Taco Bell and chicken enchilada was drowning in sour cream (though the chicken was very tender and well seasoned). Highlights of this restaurant were the tableside guacamole ($18) and free chips & salsa. It's a fun experience to watch them make the guac at your table, and it's a big portion plus with bacon. The salsa with the fresh tortilla chips were super good (and lowkey spicy). They let you take a bag home too with instructions on how to warm them up, which is really nice.

I met a sweet friend at Mi Dia from Scratch for lunch, and oh my! I had the lunch fajitas - they are now my new favorite place for fajitas! Homemade tortillas - excellent. Grilled chicken for the fajitas - delicious and tender. Grilled ones and jalapeño - grilled to my liking. Everything was fresh, tasty, and as I wrote this I am craving their fajitas already. Our server was attentive, made sure our drinks were always filled, he checked in us often, and followed up with asking if we need to-go containers or drinks. Excellent service! The interior of this restaurant is elegant, and yet, not stuffy. It has a unique design with the bar in the middle and secluded booths built all around it. There are cozy tables in the back, and a really nice outside seating area. It was hit so I didn't choose outside seating, but come cooler weather and I'm there!

Was seated right away with my boss on a Monday night. Place was very busy. We received good service, but I was expecting a little more from the food. The tortillas didn't taste homemade. The chips were a bit stale also. The shrimp was delicious though!

Popular busy place, might have a little wait time. Great atmosphere for drinks and food. Service could have be a little smoother. Felt rushed. The carne asada was excellent, the rice was ok, and the beans definitely will have a kick. The Juanita gives you great tasting options. Skip the refried beans not tasty. Table side guac was excellent, your choice on spice level. The flan was a lite and tasty options. The ice creams also had great flavors.

This restaurant is very nice. We walked into an upscale beautiful decor restaurant. It was around lunch time so it was pretty crowded. We were quickly seated in a booth and were brought salsa and chips. Half green and half red salsas in the same bowl. They were both very good. We ordered the guacamole in the mocajete and it was amazing. My daughter in law ordered the fish tacos and I had the fajita chimichanga. Our waiter was so nice and accommodating! Overall this was an awesome experience and I can't wait to come back!

Just not a great dinner experience this time overall.

Mesa's is just a few minutes drive from Gaylord so it is super convenient. The ambience is pleasant and open and in general it was fine. The restaurant was clean with plenty of seats and parking outside. I did not get a "homey" feel but that may be just me. Our server was attentive and efficient. No problems or complaints. The free chips and salsa were good but not outstanding. The salsa was warm and obviously homemade, but it lacked kick. It was tasty but not "OMG this is good." I started with a cup of Roberto's queso which is the standard queso cheese with some ground beef, pico, and a tablespoon of guacamole. It too was good but not outstanding. I am not sure what it was missing but there was something that was needed. I had the two beef tacos and they were just average. Not much flavor or anything distinctive. The ground beef was not well seasoned so they were kind of bland. The rice and black beans were also kind of bland. Frankly, my tacos at home are better. The wife had the taco salad and liked it, although it did not come with any dressing. She used the salsa. Not sure if that was an oversight or that is the way the salad is served. She was also happy that they serve Negro Modelo on tap, so she was happy. The kid had nachos with black beans and cheese and did not complain. Overall, the meal was fine, nothing was terrible, but nothing really stood out as a compelling reason to return.

Such was the case recently when we paid a visit to Mesa. The first order of business was getting an appetizer to go with the chips and salsa. Upon the server's recommendation we got the queso Blanco. It was quite possibly the blandest queso I have ever eaten. At this point I started to worry that it was a sign of things to come. However, the extra spicy salsa that we also requested to go with the chips was more flavorful and gave me hope for the entrees. The good news is that my chicken and cheese enchiladas turned out to be better than the insipid appetizer. The not so good news is that it was still a mediocre meal. The rest of my family had mixed feelings about their food. My husband, who got 2 beef enchiladas, said his were overly salty but otherwise average. The bacon wrapped shrimp that my mother got were a little overcooked but she liked the sides. Both of my sons' entrees, the Mesa burrito and the chicken strips, were very well received. People like to say that even when pizza is bad it's still good. For me, that also applies to Tex-Mex. But, considering the plethora options out there, I doubt I will be returning anytime soon.

Yet, for the longest time, Baja Mex Grill did just that by serving the strongest margaritas in town. In fact, I had always heard that there was a limit of 2 per person. Although it may have only been a rumor, it was a good policy nonetheless (I speak from experience!) Even if margaritas weren't your thing, the food still held it's own. Basically, you couldn't go wrong with a visit here no matter your preferences. I don't know exactly when or how many times the ownership changed over the years, but apart from the name, nothing about this place is the same today. It was immediately evident upon being served chips and queso that both seemed like they came straight from a package. The extra hot salsa we requested turned out to be a creamy, green concoction that had a jalapeno-y flavor, but somehow still wasn't spicy. I will give them credit, however, for a very tasty regular salsa that appeared to be made in house. For my entree I ordered the Picante Enchiladas. Contrary to what the name implies there was no detectable heat. Furthermore, the grilled chicken on top had the distinct flavor of a frozen version made by Kroger. Once again, that prepackaged element reared it's ugly head. My husband and sons were mostly underwhelmed by their meals as well. The phrase "I've had better" was echoed around the table. And, they aren't normally a picky bunch! Our server brought everything out quickly, checked on us often, and kept our drinks topped up throughout our meal. So kudos to him! I have said this before, but it bears repeating. The Tex Mex arena is far too competitive for mediocre food like they serve here. It's a shame that a place I once considered to be 4-5 star establishment barely earns 3 stars now.
