This hole in the wall dive bar is just the best. Cheap drinks, easy atmosphere and it doesn't matter who you are, you're everyone's friend there when you walk in. The bartenders are attentive and they are fast and friendly. Even when they are packed there isn't much of a wait for your drink. It's one of my favorites. read more

We came here for post-dinner drinks. It was a Saturday night and the bar was packed, inside and outside. We played a few rounds of Jenga until a heavily inebriated lady came by slurring that she wanted to play. We promptly left. Good drinks and good times. read more

You have to drive to the second floor of the parking lot to find The Forum. It's definitely a dive bar and what a vibe! Their drink specials are amazing, bartender is really cool, and everyone there is a character LOL. They have karaoke and a pool table. Came in to town on a Friday afternoon and stopped in while waiting to check-in to my Air BNB. I enjoyed it so much that my siblings and I came back Saturday night. This place was exactly the type of bar that we were looking for. Excellent people, great conversations, good music and great drinks. Really felt like this would be my neighborhood bar if I lived here. I was also impressed with how nice and clean the bathroom was. Great little dive bar. Easy to miss since it is on the second level in the shopping center. It has been open since 1979 and it is a blast from the past. Great drink prices and Saturday nights is ladies night so half price drinks for them. Bar tender was attentive and service was great. read more

I wasn't aware that you could even still smoke in bars truthfully. Also confused why they still allow it when we live in the age of vapes and ecigs that don't smell and inconvenience others. This place could really be an awesome homey bar spot for us and has a great game room with some of the best games but the smell is hard to even withstand. read more

Just left the worst event ever in my 60 years, this had the POOREST planning ever, it showed ZERO signs of any orginazation what so ever. If I could get a refund, it would make me feel so much better, will say it was a total waste of what I spent to enter this, which was $100.00. I was here for an event last night. One of the patrons loudly proclaimed the virus was fake and anyone wearing a mask was an expletive idiot. The bartender agreed saying "Right?" It made me pretty uncomfortable. I and a few other patrons were in masks. I got my drink and cashed out. Pretty disappointed the bartender agreed with him. Didn't want to argue and still tipped but won't be coming back. read more

The bartender tonight was rude. He has very little awareness of customer service. He would not give me his name. He had a large black beard and he threaten to beat me up. I will not recommend this bar to anyone. It's sad, because Richardson does not have many bars around. read more

Decided to stop in for a drink before heading to lunch yesterday. Love the feel of this place from the minute you walk in. It's no longer a smoking bar, but the years of it being smoking leaves just the lingering hint of smoke, but not enough to make your clothes smoky. We sat at the bar, you can tell it's a place where "regulars" are at home, and have been for a long time, but they are very welcoming. Our bartender was super sweet and friendly, so was another employee just there having lunch and helping out a little even though she was off. Husband drank Miller High Life tallboys, I had margaritas. I gotta say, I expected the usual sweet&sour plus tequila margarita you often get stuck with that isn't too great. But instead, I was in for a treat. These margaritas are hand made, one at a time, one ingredient at a time, and they are perfection. Our one drink before lunch turned into three before lunch. Tunes on the AMI jukebox, good conversation, cold and good drinks. Prices were really good as well. I see why this place has made it!! Looking forward to going back!!! read more

Went to a low key crawfish/corn hole event here and it was strong. Yeah there were some organizational hiccups but come on...we were there to enjoy sunshine and laughter with people. What...were y'all trying to win a trophy for the mantle? *kapshh* Great community hangout. The regulars here were welcoming and the energy was high. Workers seemed relaxed and enjoying a fun evening. I know I know it's still work. Wind picked up toward the end so we all helped out securing canopies and cleaning up the mess. Just like if you invited me to your back yard crawfish boil...which you should because it will scare your mother in law into leaving early. Anyway... chill vibe, great attitudes and fun people. My friends and I stumbled upon this bar this weekend while visiting the local hookah lounge. We loved this place!! We met the two owners and everyone was so welcoming and hospitable, including the bartendars. Plus the drinks are reasonably priced, they had a two dollar shot special on Saturday! Oldest Bar in Richardson, maybe, but ladies night was on point!!! Recommend this hidden bar for everyone!!! It was packed and only one bartender was working! I like the Forum! It's a hole in the wall bar with great waitresses and friendly patrons! Sit at the bar and meet someone! Everyone has great stories and the beer is cheap. It's a nice blue collar bar and has live music some nights. There's a pool table and shuffled board as well, and the juke box is always playing some fun. I recommed it!! read more

Definitely a classic definition of a dive bar, but for the older crowd. Don't be a newbie like my friend and I who came for happy hour and park on the west side of the bar. We thought this place was closed, and then noticed all the cool cats parked on the other side and came in through the back. The other reviewers mentioning the heavy smoke smell are accurate. If you can't tolerate or prefer it, it's best to avoid this place. The barkeep was very friendly and sweet. Definitely a grandmother who will look after you. read more
