The food was pretty good. It came out hot and mostly like we ordered (sent hash browns back because they were not cooked to crispy like requested). Service was just ok, asked for a few things that the waiter didn't understand, I don't think English was his native language and he had never heard of what we asked for). The restaurant was clean, our table needed a wipe down though when we sat down. Overall the value was good. read more

I had such a great experience at Norma's Cafe! The decor is warm and welcoming with that classic, cozy diner vibe that just makes you want to sit and stay awhile. Service was fast and super attentive -- everything came out quickly without feeling rushed. The French toast is bomb! And don't even get me started on the cheesecake... it's AMAZING. So rich, thick, and indulgent -- definitely save room for dessert! Mateo was spectacular and truly made the experience even better. Friendly, attentive, and on top of everything. I'll definitely be back! read more

To me it felt like retro vintage style cafe. Service was on point, waitress was very attentive and the food was exceptional. Good food at great price. Breakfast all day, need I say more. Get there early, cuz they close early. Enjoy read more

Went to Normas in Frisco for an early lunch today. I got cat fish ala cart, and husband got chicken sandwich, other than everything was a bit over salted, but fresh and edible. Now what we had been waiting for....they were out of chocolate peanut butter pie...soooo, I got chocolate pie and my husband got lemon. They were brought to us in take out containers, and both had probably been sitting in the case for a good amount of time. Needless to say, we need to find a new spot for pies! read more

Decided to get some diner food for lunch. Even though it's a regular building on the outside, it does give that old school diner feel on the inside which was nice. The server was quick to greet and take my order, but once I got my food was hard to track down to get the check. I got the meatloaf blue plate special with Mac and cheese, green beans, and mashed potatoes. The meatloaf was good; it was t too dry or bland like some. I wasn't the biggest fan of the sauce since I usually just like a more tomatoey ketchup sauce, yet this one seemed to have a southwest flare that changed the whole flavor profile of the meatloaf. All of the sides were good. The green beans had some bacon in them which gave them that nice extra flavor. Mashed potatoes were creamy and the gravy added a nice flavor. Sometimes at a diner all the food can be bland, but that was not the case here. It is still diner food though so nothing extravagant or fancy. The price was good too so when I'm in the mood for diner food again will be back to try more. read more

Went with Family after Sunday Mass. I ordered Pot Roast with pinto beans and buttered corn as sides. Also, their fluffy pancakes. Their delicious. This is the second time we visited this place since we tried their Veggie omelette and Western omelette during the first time we were here. This place is busy during Sunday lunch. Serving Staff are very friendly and helpful. Nicely decorated and well lighted place where you can have breakfast, Lunch and dinner. They close at 8 pm. Lots of parking space inside this huge Gaylord Stone Briar Mall. read more

Service is always the best. Feels like being at grandmas with comfort food and love. Need a new dishwasher machine to thoroughly clean dishes and silverware. Please clean inside of windows and windowsills daily. Dead flies, live flies and kid fingerprints...oh my! Ewe! Care when busing tables being mindful to not fling towels or sweep in a way that risks flinging food toward other diners. One of my absolute favorite places to eat! read more

Typical greasy spoon with decent pricing. Our waitress was great and service was fast. Decor was trying way too had to be authentic to the home town diner to the out of town guest. Food was average except for the pancakes. 10/10 highly recommend. read more

Overall good food, shouldn't have gotten the cinnamon roll, it's way too sweet but it is good. Bacon was crispy and the French toast was good. We will be back at some point. Service was good and the waitress was friendly. read more

Two visits over about ten days, and Norma's doesn't disappoint. Although their meatloaf could have been better, the fried mushrooms and fried pickles are the best in the area - to the extent I ordered them both times! The service is exceptional and quick. By the way, that biscuit monstrosity is outrageous. read more

This cafe has branched out from the original I've been eating at for decades. Fortunately the food is almost as good at all locations. Traditional blue plate cafe grub done right. Complementary rolls and cornbread is a nice touch to get you going. You choose. Chicken fried steak, meat loaf or one of the other usual suspects. Add three sides and your in business. Tonight I had the catfish...very good. Go! read more

We didn't feel like cooking but we also didn't feel like getting all dressed up for a sit down restaurant and we also did not feel like going to eat a burger at McDonalds or something-- so-- the boyfriend and I ended up at a diner! We were really craving some 59 Diner type of place... (Y'all remember 59 Diner???) So we found Norma's Diner! Perfect??? A good old American classic-- and I would have thought so because of the old vintage decor and everything on the walls right? Wrong-- Norma's was missing the most quintessential diner items-- THE MILKSHAKE. We asked if they had all the separate ingredients, and they did, but then the server said that she could make a milkshake, she just didn't know what t he price would be. And it being Frisco, I didn't want to pay $15 for a milkshake....you never know these days..... The fried mushrooms were perfect. The bread for the table was cold and hard like hockey pucks. The chicken in the terazzini was dry, but the sauce and noodles are creamy delicious. The catfish was perfect. The sides were just ok. I feel the greens come from a can and the black eyed peas need bacon in it. The pies in the ase looked old especially the lemon merengue. I know we came in looking for a diner greasy spoon all American experience, but it didn't really hit. LOL??? 3 stars for the servers good attitude and the mushrooms and catfish. Otherwise it would be a 2 or below. read more

Great nostalgic 50's style diner! Norma's offers American classic dishes. Service was impeccably great! Our server broke down our options & I decided on the chicken fried steak (double dipped). The blue plates come with 3 sides & red plates have 2 sides. My wife & I tried the large slice of homemade apple pie! Yum!!! The cornbread & fresh hot rolls rock! I got some to go! Plenty of parking & nice sano restrooms. The dining area consists of both tables & chairs with nice comfy booths. Nice staff & fresh hot food! Bring an appetite & leave room for dessert! You'll be glad you did! read more

Ok people I suggest that you save your money and go somewhere else. We were greeted with a beautiful smile and our waitress was very polite and friendly. Service is slow. Took them about 45 minutes for food . Order chicken sandwich that was over cooked to the point that it was just hard skin with bread. Onion rings were saturated with oil and no breading. Such a disappointment. Place was very nicely decorated with nostalgia. Sorry won't come again read more

Frisco, TX. Very traditional Americana diner. Norma's is a local chain that started in Oakcliff in 1956, since then it's spread out over the DFW metroplex. This one is in a strip mall in Frisco, but has an interior just like the original. You really feel the "home town" walking in. They have blue plate, specials, burgers, sandwiches, salads, breakfast, and everything. I had the chicken and dressing and it was delicious. Service was great. read more

Great food and service. On list when visiting the area. Dessert options were aplenty.

We ordered a thanksgiving dinner from Normas like we have done for the past 5years . This year it was just awful... The grandkids always love the dressing and roll's which were the worst. The rolls were stale and the dressing was barely edible. It appeared it was not mixed and was burnt. The ONLY thing that was wasn't awful were the mashed potatoes, pie and sweet teas. The really disappointing thing was we had no options and were stuck with the mess we received. read more

The ambience is nostalgic, it's clean, tables are a reasonable distance apart. We each ordered something different. The pot roast was good, the omelet good but the hash browns were very dry, the meat loaf was almost edible, and the desserts were all good. Service was OK - if you can't remember the orders, write them down. We'd probably visit again to try something different. read more

Norma's is a great little diner experience! Reminds you of the oldies with their decor. Food was great! Had the cbgb I think it was acronymed, chicken tenders, bisquits, eggs, hash browns. Service was great. Food was mid. I was anxious to try their award winning chicken fried steak. If the award is for the most batter hiding a rather small steak, they would win. The rest of our meals were unremarkable. On a positive note, our server was very friendly, brought us extra rolls, and our food came quickly. read more

I went to Normas once off Dallas Tollway. Today was my first time in Frisco and my second visit to Normas overall. I got the breakfast burritos. They come with egg and sausage. I asked if they could put cheddar cheese on them and it was horrible. There was WAY too much cheese. I felt like I got a cheese burrito. I took one bite of solid cheese. I didn't even eat one of them. I just left. Also I wanted hash browns, like cubed potatoes and they don't serve them that way. Maybe it was just a one off. I might go again. You get a single paper napkin too wrapped around your utensils for the whole meal. read more

While the portions were generous, the team was kind, and overall the ambiance was great, this spot wasn't my cup of tea. My husband ordered the CBGB - come hungry if you order this** the portion was HUGE and heavy. Truly two people could share this dish. While my husband enjoyed it, from the few bites I took, I did not. Best part of this dish however was the chicken because it was cooked very well. I ordered the Belgian waffle, which is my typical go to at any breakfast/brunch spot, and some hash browns. The waffle was fairly over cooked, but the maple syrup they used at this restaurant really saved the waffle. The hash browns, also overcooked, needed a lot of spice love. I don't enjoy giving any restaurants low stars, however after interacting with their waiters/team and having the food, my honest review is that I may not come back. Others may enjoy the other selections on the menu, however this time around it wasn't for me and my tastebuds. read more

The service was great - people are definitely the best part. The food, on the other hand, was mediocre at best. Not really seasoned. Worse, when we asked for no onions, they somehow thought that meant "pour extra onions under, between, and on top every piece of food you ordered." They even put cooked onions on the toast, for some reason. It was honestly fine, but there is better nearby. read more

I had the Patty melt with Bacon, and it was delicious. I find that all of their food is very good, I have never had a bad meal there. The only issue I have is that their table condiments are not very good. They do not have butter. They have this 40% vegetable oil that taste very processed to me. The Pancake syrup is High Fructose Corn syrup and Corn syrup. The Ketchup which is Heinz also has High Fructose corn syrup in it. In Europe H High Fructose Corn syrup is band because it is viewed as Very bad for your health. It messes with your brain and makes you think you are always hungry. read more
