I randomly stopped here without seeing any reviews. I needed to work a bit and kill some time in the area. The environment was very nice, clean, and a great place to "work from home". The service was pretty good, too. It was a Saturday . I ordered a Cold Brew Coffee and The Brekkie Wrap with bacon. Overall, I thought The Brekkie Wrap was not bad. I would have liked a bit more of the avocado pesto and some hot sauce. Maybe hot sauce is available upon request, but I didn't ask. The salsa that they provided was a bit bland and didn't hit the spot for me. Also, since I ordered the bacon, I was a bit confused by the additional meat substance that was on it? I couldn't quite distinguish what it was but it tasted good. I'm thinking a dried prosciutto was added despite me ordering bacon? It also didn't look like prosciutto, so I'm not sure. But there were bacon bits on there that were obviously bacon. Overall, I'd come back for a small bite to eat and a coffee. They are opening locations all over the suburbs and this one has a drive-through. The drive-through was the reason I drove out of my way for this location. You don't actually order at the window so I had to pull over and create an account to order online. Super inconvenient and the reason I gave 3 stars. They are a little pricey in that my food for one with tip was $27. The food was fresh and tasty but...nothing special for the price. Only 3 years ago there were very few healthy, convenient, fast options. Now we have an abundance and its important these guys realize you have to offer good value because the competition will. I wrote a review before about the sodium content in their "healthy" meals (bowls, sandwiches etc). Thought I would give them another chance, but two more times of patronizing this restaurant and I am less than impressed again. First time returning and chicken in sandwich was slopped on raw by a kid who looked barely 16 "cooking" it. We didn't go back for quite a long time and then when we finally did, the chips were stale and though the sandwiches tasted fine, my better half and I inexplicably have bad stomach ache 12 hours later. May or may not be the sandwiches, but this is the only thing we both ate that was the same. 2 sandwiches, 2 chips and 2 drinks here is around 45 dollars so not cheap to have consistently bad experiences. read more

Ok folks, I'm here to tell you that I will be craving the Beet Salad until I make it back here. I am that person who takes food photos all the time - this time I was so hungry and it was so delicious that I didn't even think to take a photo until it was nearly gone. What a shame, because it was really beautiful. Golden beets, apples, golden raisins, cashews, goat cheese - all mixed with super fresh mixed greens and a great vinaigrette. Holy moly! What a brilliant gem in town. I know this is a chain restaurant type. But hold on, do you know this place is a killer for a vegetarian and gluten free. Oh my also vegan friendly. I am so happy we found something for us in the neighborhood, this place serves food just what we love. I got a gluten free hummus wrap with extra chicken, gloriously delicious. I enjoyed it so much coz it not only had hummus but also had tons of veggies and was perfectly made. My older son got a white cheddar Quesadillas with chicken. This was a killer too. He enjoyed it so much. Also comes with a side of fruit. My husband got the so raved Thai curry bowl. He enjoyed his meal too. This place has so much beyond wraps, rice bowl, sandwiches. They have a smoothie menu, fresh fruit cold pressed too. Some gluten free cookies, chips, sodas and more. I don't know if it's because of the different location or because I ordered the wrong thing, but this visit to Original ChopShop just didn't quite hit the same as the other location I've been to. The curry sauce on the tofu curry bowl didn't really taste like curry, but was pretty sweet. It was still good though! However, there was not nearly enough sauce for the bowl, and nothing else in the bowl was seasoned enough to taste good without the sauce. I'm a little disappointed that they're so stingy with their sauce and also charge extra if you want more. I also added Brussels sprouts, which were kind of soggy and bland. The food was very fresh and very good. My wife had the chili lime shrimp protein bowl and said it was amazing. Two of our party had American salads and while that may sound ordinary, they both said the salads were some of the best they had because they were fresh and even the dressings tasted fresh. I had the Korean steak protein bowl and I added some shrimp to mine and also chose the forbidden rice. I love forbidden rice. Unfortunately, this was the one downside of the meal. The rice was undercooked and it just kind of ruined the dish. The flavors were all there and I did not even need to use all of the chili vinaigrette. But each bite was overwhelmed with the undercooked rice. Some was so bad it was like chewing on raw rice. Not good. I would definitely order here again because the food is fresh and has great flavor. However, I would be hesitant to order the forbidden rice. My wife had brown rice in her chili lime shrimp and said it was fine. Maybe a bad day or they just aren't familiar with how to cook forbidden rice. read more

Everyone is always so nice and the food is filling and delicious and this new location is no exception! I just happened to stumble upon Instagram and saw that you were opening this new location and you were offering a $25 gift card to those who signed up! I was able to try their kombucha, a Moroccan Turkey Wrap, and Acai Bowl. The kombucha was light and refreshing with just a touch of spice. The turkey wrap could've had a little more spice in my opinion, so it was just okay. This is my first acai bowl, so it was not what I was expecting at all! It had a mix of toppings-bananas, coconut flakes, granola, and grapes. The actual acai was a little sweet and sticky--I liked it! Also, I love that all of their packaging is recyclable, so I always feel good about getting take out! Now, if you could just open a location in Tarrant County that would be so awesome! read more

We ordered the Chili Shrimp protein bowl with sweet potato hash and loved it. It is spicy but was really flavorful. We also got the Coconut Chicken protein bowl which again was super yummy. I got half rice and half hash and was really happy with the combo. Overall I would highly recommend. It was very filling and a great healthy "fast" food option. I just don't get this place, so much potential, so disappointing! This place is like a used car lot of restaurants. I absolutely love the location and the fact that they have a drive through, but the food just isn't there. What really amazes me is that their other concept, Bella Green is exceptional! Let's start with the simplest of things, substitutions should not cost me unless they cost the restaurant. If one item is more costly than another then I am happy to pay difference, but, if I chose an equal or lesser value option, why am I being charged just because my taste isn't yours? Don't charge me to have one cheese instead of another and vise versa; if one is more expensive, I'll pay the difference, just don't charge me for the convenience of changing. Next, you're a salad centric restaurant. When I order an adult sized salad, I expect more than an ounce or so of dressing. I'm ok with that being your standard start but don't charge me for each additional ounce, that's just ridiculous! I'm not asking for a bottle of dressing, just be reasonable, and at your prices, don't nickel and dime me for one more ounce. Be more open with your ingredients. When you put an egg on a salad, the majority of people will expect a hard boiled egg. What comes on the salad is some sort of fried/baked/dried egg white. I have yet to see a yolk, there is no flavor, and it's usually just a crispy, used to be an egg type substance. Please understand that when I say usually, I've given them multiple chances to do something right. Corn chips to most people, and I'm from Texas, the home of Fritos does not mean a fist full of Fritos on my salad, a Frito Pie is another story. I will say this, the bowls are not bad but everything else needs a lot of help, and for a place that's salad-centric, you really need to get the salads right. The sandwiches aren't bad but having had several, there's nothing I would ever go back for. Add to that, they come a la carte, so for a sandwich, side, and a drink, there are lots of full service restaurant in the vicinity that offer full meals and service for a better price. (I'm always happy to pay whatever for great food and service, so don't think this is a budget comment, they just don't offer anything of value here). I've tried a lot of their menu items. I've tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. I really want to love them given the convenience and the drive through....but....there's just not anything here. This was a painful review to write but this place just doesn't hit the mark! ****UPDATE**** So after they reached out to me I gave them a few more chances. A couple of epic failures and one ok. My biggest complaint is their substitution charges, and this includes salad dressings! If you don't like the dressing that they tell you comes with the salad, they charge you to swap out, I'm not kidding! It comes with vinaigrette and you'd rather have ranch, charge! It comes with ranch and you'd rather have vinaigrette, charge! Want more than an ounce, charge! As I told them when they reached out, I really want them to succeed, I want more good restaurants in the area, BUT, they just don't get it, makes me sad. read more

Visited the one off Custer and Eldorado this past week because my friend had suggested it. I'm not a huge salad eater but hey...why not. Let's just say, I did not look forward to this lunch meet with my bud. Well, well, well, to my carnivorous surprise, they served beef! Woo!!! Actually, I should say, Moooo! I saw at least 2 beef options which can be served over brown rice or quinoa. I chose the Spicy Korean Beef over quinoa. It was very delish. The person who took our order at the counter also stopped by our table a couple to times to check on us. The restaurant was very clean, open, light and bright (I know. It was okay. It didn't blow me away to want to come back right away. We called and placed an order for Thai Coconut Chicken bowl and Sweet Soy Sesame Steak bowl. She was very accommodating on modifications which is always appreciated. They have a drive-thru for pickup only so place your order online ahead of time. Honestly, for as pricey as they are, I was expecting so much more. The Thai Coconut had more flavor in it but the Soy Sesame was quite bland.
