Visited for brunch with my kids on 1/10/26 - kid friendly menu. Cute decor & atmosphere, good service, yummy food. Typical kids menu I ordered Cajun shrimp Benny & it did not disappoint - sauce was yummy, added some salt to it - breaded/fried grits was unique, well put together dish. Potatoes were seasoned pretty on point, enjoyed them Would come back & try other menu items

I met up with a friend for Brunch and of course MIMOSAS!!! I have had The Brunch District booked marked for quite some time now however when they first opened they didn't take reservations i am so glad that they do now. We wanted to eat outside because it was such a nice day however it was closed. The restaurant gave me a quaint Diner type of feel. To start we ordered a couple of the Expresso Martini's YUM! I decided for my entree The Old Fashioned with bacon, scrambled eggs, and potatoes with a side of pancakes and grits to share. My friend ordered the scrambled eggs with cheese, French toast and andouille sausage. The entire meal was delightful, full of flavor much like home cooking instead of restaurant style. I wanted to dine on the patio which is my only gripe.

If you're looking for a cute and dainty brunch spot with very reasonable prices, The Brunch District delivers. The ambiance gives full-on brunch flare & perfect for a casual weekend bite. I ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken Breakfast ($16) with eggs, breakfast potatoes (I skipped the grits), and an English muffin. The eggs were cooked just right, and the chicken was juicy, flavorful, and honestly the price stole the show. My friend went with the Barn Yard Skillet ($15) chicken apple sausage, roasted red peppers, mushrooms, spinach, Jack and cheddar cheese, plus bread. She added the "mini" pancakes...which were more like mid-size pancakes . I can only imagine how big the regular ones are. Overall: Good food, great value, and a solid brunch vibe.  Flavorchaser Approved

Since it's a fairly new restaurant near Lake Forest Dr & heard positive reviews we thought of trying it out.. Parking was ample given that the whole area is being built more business will open shortly... Upon entering we were quickly seated went through the menu & gave our orders- The Old Fashioned - sunny side up with chicken apple sausage & cubed potatoes. Chorizo Benedict - Chorizo, avocado, jalapeno, sweet pepper, green onion, ancho hollandaise sauce, English muffin with cubed potatoes. Both the dishes were good. Loved the Chorizo just the right amount of spicy kick with the jalapeño. Restaurant was nicely maintained, service was fast & nice decor. Would love to come back to try their other dishes.

We have had brunch here several times after church and it's been great! It was very busy for Mother's Day, but we were able to get seated at the bar in a reasonable amount of time and enjoy brunch! The staff works really hard to get everyone take care of and seated quickly!

We had a big group in and our waitress was very attentive throughout the meal, always checking in and fulfilling whatever needs we had. Everyone loved all the dishes they had ordered. Favorites of the table were the cajun chicken and waffles, tiramisu French toast and chilaquiles. Restaurant was bright and beautiful inside.

Probably our favorite breakfast spot now in the McKinney area. I love the airy feel of the place. The menu has great options, the service is always good, we love the bear ice cubes with the iced coffees and lemonades. We haven't ordered anything yet that we don't like. Definitely try it out!

The food and service were great! Order the Biscuits and Gravy, you won't regret it! Our waitress Larissa was attentive, fast and very welcoming. The place is very clean and posh. Definitely will be coming back!

So get this...The Brunch District is new to McKinney, and I already have it as my top 5 places to go for an amazing breakfast every time you go, period. The service was top notch right out the gate. Andrea came around with hot Segafredo coffee, super nice and inviting. The vibe was bright and very La La land-ish.The windows for a wall gives me the sunny California feels. Now let's get down to why I recommend this place over any other place in the DFW Metroplex! Tunisian style eggs is the best dish they have. It should be studied and honored as the most delicious most simple yet delightfulest (is that a word?) piece of breakfast heaven with a touch of European love I've every had the pleasure of stealing from my husbands plate. no words...must try 100/10. Pro tip: order extra naan bread to sop up the left over sauce. Thank me later. The chicken carnitas bowl!!!!! Well anything with the chicken carnitas is a 100/10, but the cubbed potatoes crispy, fluffy in the inside and seasoned to perfection and consistently made all 4x's I've gone. How? No idea. I don't want to know. It's just magic happening in that kitchen. Brisket brekkie tacos, loaded grits, and the biscuits...whew chile! Go and come back tell me your favorite dish. PS. Don't take pics of the other dishes, because I forgot and started eating. I'll go back to get yall some pics ya know for the people.

We've gone here twice and have had great services and foods both times. I've had the iron man scrambled eggs with lox and my sister has had their French toast. You'll get your money o worth here. They don't skimp on the sizes. We'll definitely be back. No complaints here.

Only reason For 4 and not 5 was the table. Sat outside on the enclosed patio. We were right next to the door where the servers, bus boys and patrons come in and out. It was a wind storm the entire time we were sitting there. Also, there is a door that exits to the outside that did the same thing. Daniel was our server and he was a five out of five. Glasses never went unfilled, checked on us several times. His recommendation for the cinnamon roll French toast with a spot on. You have to get it! Biscuits and gravy or excellent. Gravy was creamy in season two perfection. Good size chicken fried steak that was delicious. Be prepared to wait. 100% recommend this place but get on the waitlist as it is a very popular spot.

We've been waiting for The Brunch District to open, and it finally did, so we were really excited to try it this weekend! Everything was excellent! The hostesses were very nice and communicated the wait time and process very well. We got drinks at the bar while we waited for our table and the bartender was fun and helpful. Our server was great, attentive, and got everything we needed and asked for. She even refilled our waters every time she walked by. The decorations were all really cute too. It sort of had a 50's/60's style with the mirrors, lighting, wood panel walls, etc... Since this was our first time here we tried several different things. Every single thing was delicious! The loaded grits didn't look as good as we expected but when we tasted them we were surprised. The sausage and toppings were really good and the grits themselves were cooked perfectly. There weren't any dry pieces like you get at restaurants a lot. From the Fire Up The Griddle section we got the Belgian Waffles with Cinnamon Roll Topping and from the Sammy's and Wraps section we got the Turkey Pesto Sandwich with no lettuce. We also got a side of sweet potato fries and cubed potatoes. The sweet potato fries were good but the cubed potatoes were delicious. The sweet potato fries were soft (which I didn't mind) but the cubed potatoes were perfectly crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The Turkey Pesto Sandwich was also really good. I mostly tasted the pesto mayo but it was still a great sandwich. The bread was a focaccia but it wasn't too thick. I would definitely order it again. The Belgian Waffles were one of the best things we got though. They were very soft but not mushy at all and the Cinnamon Roll Topping was perfect! That will be one of our regular orders here. Overall we had a great experience and The Brunch District will be one of our regular weekend brunch places going forward.

Super patient with us, answered all of our questions, made recommendations, and very attentive. Will ask for her again. The menu was a cornucopia of drinks and eats that sound amazing. We had the pimento cheese spread, two orders of the chicken fried steak and two orders of redfish. Everything was spectacular. We can't wait to go try other items on the menu. While waiting for our table we wondered up to the 3rd floor. They had live music. The place was jumping up there. We are going to have to look up who is going to be playing and have another married date night. The only downside to the evening was unfortunately the host at the front door. He was rude and severely lacking in communication skills. If anything else had me "meh" I would have taken stars away but everything else made up for his shortcomings.

Once seated we waited nearly an hour for the food, and it arrived with one good plate, and a $55 "Wagyu" which was a small, twisted piece of sinewed, chewy meat with cold, soggy veggies and mash. Sent it back, and my wife was finished by the time the replacement came - which again, was about as 'Wag'yu as a pup's tail. They kindly removed cost of my meal, and we got anniversary desert. Nice building and staff working hard - just set your expectations accordingly.

Kudos to him! Now for the food... it was outstanding. Between us we ordered the tacos, chicken fried steak, and the Nashville hot chicken sandwich. Let's talk about the tacos first. The meat was incredibly tender and flavorful, topped with a tasty lime crema and delicious grilled veggies. The loaded fries were the side of choice with that dish and they were so good--crispy, flavorful, and the ranch was absolutely on point (which is very important, ha!). The chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and green beans was so good that there was literally nothing left on the plate. The steak was crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and the gravy was perfect. The green beans had just a little kick to them which made them fantastic. And the Nashville hot chicken sandwich... wow. It was HUGE (see pic below) and cooked perfectly. The ambiance of the place was also great. It has a welcoming vibe where you can come dressed up for a night out or keep it casual and still feel comfortable. If you're looking for a great dinner spot in downtown McKinney, Sugar Bacon is definitely worth the visit!
