Went there with a friend for breakfast. Needs breakfast menu items without hash brown (suggest toast). The Smucker's Blackberry jelly packets on the table made my 5th star in rating. Smucker's Blackberry is only at good eateries. The greasy spoons always have grape and apple as well as Dow chemical creamer. Pricey but good. read more

My first visit, based on strong Yelp reviews, was a very good experience with solid service and well prepared food. The experience today was a bit different. There were plenty of open tables and I was seated quickly by the friendly staff who quickly brought the strong, black Italian coffee that can improve almost any day. I ordered a basic breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon, homestyle potatoes, and a biscuit. The food was served with reasonable speed but the biscuit was served open faced and heavily grilled, which was not described on the menu and not the usual preparation unless gravy is involved. It was explained that 'that's how we do them here'. I asked for a normal biscuit and they brought another that was somewhat less grilled. The third time finally resulted in a light, fluffy biscuit which was quite tasty. Unfortunately the rest of the meal was not as successful. The scrambled eggs were a large mass which had a lovely appearance but were not quite fully cooked beneath the surface. The homestyle fries were quite overcooked and the bacon was so overcooked that it bordered on burnt. I asked at checkout if they had been busy before I arrived and that doesn't appear to be the reason for the result. The staff are friendly, the dining room is comfortable, and the menu offers a good range of options for breakfast and lunch. I will try them again in a few months to see if this was an aberration, and I certainly hope for the best. read more

Came in around 11 and was immediately seated. The staff was friendly and offered us a choice of where to sit. I ordered the French toast with hash browns and sausage. The food came out in about 20 mins fresh and hot. I enjoyed the food and would definitely recommend. read more

Saw the reviews for the diner and because we love to try local diners when traveling, we stopped in. It isn't really a diner in the true sense of the word, but it does have a large, open dining area with 9 booths and seems to be a local place with a large menu. We were disappointed that they were out of tea, clam chowder and that they don't own a panini press even though they list paninis on the menu. Either buy a press or just change the menu. Server tried very hard to make things right and that was appreciated. Our food was fine, but not anything special. Neither of us ordered breakfast though, so maybe that would have changed our experience. read more

Tried this restaurant for brunch today and highly recommend it. Service was top notch and the food was delicious. My daughter tried one of their seasonal waffles and it was all you could hope for. I take my MIL (mother-in-law) to her medical appointments and retail therapy at least once a week. In those visits I want her to experience a new place for a little adventure. So we are always in search of going to never-eaten-before places. That's how we found ourselves at the Hydeout Cafe. AMBIANCE: It was quaint, low key, with a good vibes type of establishment. There was no sense of urgency even though we were an hour away from their closing time. We went there during the week at around 1pm. FOOD: Didn't disappoint. I had a burger and my MIL ordered from the breakfast menu. We both loved the meals, and even treated ourselves with a to go dessert. Ya know, to minimize the guilt. This is a solid breakfast place. My kids, husband, and myself enjoyed lunch here on a weekday. Went for breakfast with my Girlfriend and was one of the BEST breakfast experiences I've had in a long time! Service was second to none, I had the Hashbrown scramble with the sausage gravy and cinnamon French toast, my girlfriend and I split an order of the berry crapes, everything was very delicious. We're from out of town, traveling with our new 9 week old puppy. In searching for a breakfast place we could keep an eye on her, we found this gem that actually allows pets on the patio. The menu has so many fabulous choices! I had a tough time deciding between the skillet meal or the omelet. Bacavado omelet won! And definitely no regrets. So delicious and fresh. The biscuit is brought out cut in half, buttered and toasted in the middle! Yum!! So good I just realized I forgot to put jelly on it. lol And kudos to our server, Yuisa, is so friendly and helpful, explaining and recommending from the menu. The few conversations I overheard when the owner stepped out made it obvious to me this is a well established neighbors favorite. Excellent place to eat at! Well worth coming here if in the area. The coffee is great! We had a wonderful waitress and I wish I had paid better attention to her name. She was wonderful. Her personality was vibrant and spot-on for us. We were sat in one of the booths. The food was breakfast superb. Hubby and I had a great time enjoying each other's company. No interruptions from waiters! Timing was always perfect! At one point, I heard our waitress complaining to the cooks about how long it was taking them to deliver the pancakes to our table. (I never complained!). I found it funny that she was giving the chef's crap about not being on point. What a gal! She told them "her table wanted to eat pancakes today with their meal. The food is good and why I have chosen to eat here several times. I found this restaurant clean and "finished", meaning the air conditioning ducts in the ceiling waere not exposed. Normally when you order online for delivery, if you get drinks and or an add on like side of bacon, etc., something will be missing. I am patient and gave them the benefit of the doubt, because they do get very busy at breakfast time.. So I never complained or said anything about it... Today I ordered and added an OJ for my husband. It didn't get delivered with our order. So I called and spoke with someone, he said I was refunded, bwcause they didn't have any. Which is acceptable, but he was speaking over me in a very loud tone. I would expect that if I was refunded for something you knew you didn't have, I would have had it marked on the receipt/order on the bag so I would understand what happened upon delivery. But instead I had to go look it up through my email to find out that it was refunded. (Which the other times I was missing an item it was not refunded, because I went back to make sure I ordered it in the first place and there was no other emails stating a refund, so I know that is not the cause for the past missing items). I didn't like the way I was being spoken to by the man that was taking over for his son, I am assuming the owner. He seemed to be blaming me for using door dash for my online order instead of calling the store to make sure they have everything I was wanting to order... But if I ordered by calling door dash wouldn't deliver to me. Plus I order d through the restaurants website and that was offered as an ordering service. read more

We were immediately seated and our server took our order extremely rudely. She kept interrupting us when we spoke and didn't ask any questions. My boyfriend ordered hot coffee that tasted sour as hell. I ordered avocado toast with poached eggs and requested chili flakes on top. When I received it however, it was COATED in chili flakes and raw eggs. I would put zero stars if possible. My wife, daughter, and I went here for a late breakfast last week. I had the Hash Stack, my wife had the Meat Lover Omelette and a chocolate chip pancake, and my daughter had the Buttermilk Pancakes. I loved the Hash Stack as the hash browns were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the side of cinnamon toast was something you don't get or see often. My wife enjoyed her omelette, and the hot sauce they have on the table had a nice smoky flavor that went well with it. My daughter enjoyed her pancakes, and they were nice and fluffy. The service was great, and the server we had seemed to take pride in their food and offered good suggestions. The only downside to the visit was that there was a smell of sewage that hit us as we walked through the door. I spoke with the owner, and he said they were aware of it and waiting for their landlord to address a broken pipe issue due to the building shifting. We will be back, and I hope they are able to address their plumbing issue quickly so other people can take advantage of the great food here. read more

What can I not say about Hydeout Cafe!!!! From beginning to end it was amazing. We were greeted at the door with a smile. We were seated quickly and seem like afterwards everyone followed us in. I was unable to get pictures because we dove in as soon as we received our food. We had pancakes, specialty coffee, chicken fried steak and eggs! All amazing!! Water was filled quickly, waiter was so attentive!! Atmosphere was very inviting. What took the cake for me was the manager asked me how was my healing on my shoulder was going ( I was in a sling) I just had rotator cuff surgery. He didn't have to ask it was such a personal touch.
