The croffles were so yummy with the fresh berries. It was a food balance. I asked for the nutella on the side which allowed me to switch between that and the syrup as I wanted. Not overly sweet which I liked. I went for brunch Sunday morning and it was busy. I had to wait for like 15 minutes and service was a little slow but I wasn't super bothered by it. We opted for Talias cafe today for breakfast based on the reviews. I think this is the first Bad review I've ever given on Yelp. The service was slow, but honestly, they were busy so that wasn't even a bother. My boyfriend ordered an omelette and chose hashbrowns for one of his sides. When the omelette arrived, it was the darkest, most overcooked omelette I've ever seen. I mean DARK! No hash browns on the side either. And the server never checked on us during the meal- only after. When she finally came by to bring us the bill, she noticed that only two small bites had been taken out of the omelette. She asked if something was wrong and he explained that it was very overcooked and should not have been crispy brown on the outside. Clearly, the Cook had added the hashbrowns to the outside of the actual omelette and cooked it all together because she offered to bring an omelette without the hashbrowns cooked with the omelette but at that stage we were pretty much done. I ordered toast for one of my sides and that never arrived either. I went onto the yelp to see other reviews and somebody had ordered the same omelette and it looked amazing and of course the hashbrowns were on the side, not cooked with the omelette. She did offer to remove the omelette from the Bill, so we pay the bill, my boyfriend tells her that it looks pretty high and is trying to understand the itemized bill. Her little handheld credit card machine showed the charges, but it was so convoluted you cannot see charges versus credits. Turns out she actually added eight dollars to the bill rather than removing anything. What a terrible experience. I'm not even interested in giving us this place a second chance. read more

It has a good sense of modernism meets family. We are definitely going to comeback. The owner was nice as well. We really appreciated the time. Overall, it was okay. The food and service wasn't bad, but I wouldn't say I was "wow'd" or had a top tier experience. I decided to try the spicy chicken and waffles, as well as a side of French toast. The chicken tenders were very crispy (which I liked), but had zero seasoning. It came with a spicy sauce, but it wasn't very flavorful. I'd rate them 6.5/10. I needed Cholula and syrup to make them taste good. The waffle I'd rate 8/10. French toast was 7.5/10. This was a great brunch experience! We made a reservation ahead of time. There was a line of people when we arrived and we were seated immediately. There were 8 of us in our party. The atmosphere was great, there is a piano in the room and someone got on it and started playing while we were there. The service was great! The waiter was kind and attentive. Ambience needs help. Wide open area with very little design or things of interest. There was a piano... however it was not used Sunday 11:30am. Tables were 80% occupied so must be a great place to come to over and over again. Our waitress was excellent. Always attentive and with a smile. Finally got to check out this cafe this weekend. The space is actually a lot bigger on the inside than it looks from the outside. The ambiance was causal and simple. The food was good. I did enjoy my very berry waffle combo meal, and my hazelnut latte. Surprisingly, their chicken fried steak was good... the meat was soft and the batter was seasoned well. The front staff overall weren't really welcoming and our waiter was hard to get a hold of throughout our visit. Maybe he was helping with close out duties, but just felt like he was not attentive enough, which is why I had to give this cafe a 3 star rating. Overall, I am glad at least to try this cafe once, but probably won't be back for another visit. read more

If anything, the food just gets better every time we go. Todays was no exception. I tried the country fries instead of hash browns. Best ever, crispy on the outside while melty inside and hot, right from the skillet. Prompt service with a smile as well Love the piano on the weekend btw. Cautionary Tale! Visited Talia's for the first time Sunday, November 16th for brunch with family. Really excited to try this place out. Saw that gluten free waffles/pancakes were an option on the menu. Ordered said gluten free waffles along side my families orders. Their food came out first. Completely normal for gluten free to come out separately. My waffles were delivered, looked beautiful. A good 15 minutes went by and a server came to our table with an additional waffle. I kept looking between the waffles I had have consumed and the one he was holding. Server said this was the gluten free one. "I'm sorry, what? What have I been eating for the past 15 minutes?" "Those are not gluten free. This one is. It has a little flag that says gluten free. " "Ok, first time here, we were not told nor is it on the menu that gluten free will have a flag." "Well, they do." "Ok, so it normal for gluten free to come out 15 minutes after everyone's meal?" Server walks off and gets the manager- normal protocol. Manager comes to the table and ask how they can fix it. My husband replies that you can't fix it. It's done. I've consumed gluten and will now deal with the consequences (sinus infections, ruined GI system, etc for the next 3 weeks). Manager leaves and comes back a few minutes later to let us know that we don't need to worry, he was taking 10%off bill for the mistake. Maybe one apology....but 10% off our entire bill? That's it? My waffle wasn't free?! If you have any food sensitivities or allergies, please, DO NOT EAT HERE! Needless to say that was the first and only time we will dine there. read more
