Ok. These folks are super nice! The food is good. However, it's always a hot mess inside afternoons and weekends. Teenagers, are not as careful and it shows. The tables and floors are dirty with flakes of food. Just down right dirty. Ugh. Not sure when they ever wipe them down, if ever. Of all the tables on several visits I couldn't find a clean table to sit and eat. It's a taqueria? But, still offer table seating. I'm so confused. Not the usual spotless Mexican kitchen. The floors are dirty. Ugh. Crumbs all over the floor and it's sticky. I think most folks use Uber Eats. That's why they don't have a standard inside. Usually, kids, and I mean kids 16 and younger are running the counter and kitchen. The bottles are never wiped down. Caked on food on ketchup, green sauce, and red sauce bottles. Thus far I've not gotten sick. They don't speak English, but then I don't speak Spanish. So it's a wash! I'll probably go back. And pray every time I don't get sick. Thus far I've dodged the bullet! I'd like to support a small business. However, the prices are stupid crazy! Salsa and chips are $5.50. Refills are $1 each time for salsa. Pay up front too. Then they serve you. Don't expect refills either you have to pay first. ( I still leave a tip, but probably shouldn't). Food is always decent! Just know when eating in, it's not up to expectations as a consumer. Super simple, no frills taqueria. Great plates, good tacos, great service, good price. Fabulous tacos. For real. Loved the enchiladas which with the red sauce had just a little kick (thank you! I'm going to give this place five stars even though the burrito was small, I have noticed that many Mexican restaurants in Dallas don't make a burrito the same way as they do in Southern California. I got a chorizo and egg burrito (breakfast all day) and it was delicious even though it was small, more like a flauta than a burrito. However, I am assuming the flavor of the other food is delicious and I will be going back to try it. Our first time at this place and we had to wait for the chips and guac. So what, right? Well the big deal is you have to wait because they are making them fresh!!!! So much better than them pulling them out of a bag and throwing them at you immediately. We will wait to get great food every time! We tried the burrito and the street tacos. The street tacos were the best we have had in Texas so far...and we've been here for years. We have tried good Mexican food, ok Mexican food but with Taquerias Cervantes, we have had Excellent Mexican food! The pricing is so reasonable and the man working was so nice and helpful since it was our first visit. I already suggested to my husband that we go back the next day and he was on board, no argument. The salsa has two levels..one is a green probably avocado mix and the red is a spicy one. Normally you get spicy OR flavorful, but not here! After many friends recommended this place, again and again I had to give it a shot. Being a native to Texas I really appreciate good TexMex. But having also lived in Mexico, there's times when I just want legit Mexican. Word on the street is that this place hits the spot when you want authentic Mexican. It's a small restaurant located in what I refer to as old Allen. I stopped in today to get a "super burrito" with fries. It's got beef fajita, fries, beans, all the fixings. This burrito did not disappoint. It was perfect and the hit sauce they provide is exactly as I want it... Spicy. The server was pleasant and I always appreciate the opportunity to speak Spanish. They serve tacos de lengua, de cabeza, etc. Everything on the menu is exactly what you'd hope to see in a place like this. My only complaint is the price. The bill was $16.90. With a tip it ran $20. $20 for an old school Mexican burrito, no drink, is a lot of money IMO. read more

I usually go by the Yelp ratings to check out a place. For our experience the ratings were too high. We have been to this place under three different business names. We thought the last two were much better. The food had no flavor. The chips are made to order and you will wait 15 minutes for them to come out of the fryer. AMAZING al pastor tacos, in this economy its crazy that you can buy 10 of them for only $14!!! Service was amazing, not long of a wait, fine environment, but food is all that matters no? I have been to so many taquerias but none have compared to the value and taste of this location, I believe its very sad that the location is in such a run down, hidden part of allen, these guys deserve so much more business, I have put so many of my friends on this place and they have all enjoyed it. I also recommend the churro cajeta (churro with dulce de leche caramel like filling) Did I mention the salsas they provide and how tasty they are? You know this place use to be great. We loved ordering from here. But the past 4-5 times, not only had our orders been wrong, but they've been bad. Tonight we ordered 10 tacos. We got 8. And half of them were wrong. The queso was set up. They only have us a handful of chips. The last couple times they also got to taco orders wrong and didn't give us chips at all for the queso. It's really sad, Because the first couple times we would have died on a hill for this place. We probably won't be ordering again fool me once shame on you. Fool me six times, shame on me. read more

First time here. Waited 20+ mins for 6 breakfast tacos (if that is what you want to call them). After 18 mins went to ask to cancel order and was told couldn't cancel because did not know how to refund money on computer. Felt bad for girl because she was only person working (taking walk-in and phone orders and cooking) but that is ridiculous. Should have walked out when asked if make tortillas and was told both corn and flour were from a package. I may not live in the this part of Texas but when you order breakfast tacos in Texas you don't except them to be size of street tacos. Decided to stop in for breakfast last weekend. Best decision of the weekend for sure!! Chips and salsa were delightful, chips were fresh fried and salsa was fresh, not terribly spicy, but delicious. Then....our breakfast. Husband got the Mexicana breakfast burrito, it was huge and packed full of all the things a Mexican breakfast burrito should have! Eggs, cheese, beans, and meats.....delicious. I had the carnitas tacos. Holy cow. Maybe the best carnitas I have had. The shredded pork was charred on the grill to crispy perfection. The green salsa was good, but the orangy colored salsa was to die for. Super spicy but also oh so flavorful. Our server was sweet and very attentive, and the cook came out and spoke with us.
