We come here at least once a week. It's our favorite little joint close to home. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, the food is always fresh and drinks are always cold. Definitely try some of the house made tortillas. I could eat nothing but tortillas and be happy If you order the chimichanga, bring an appetite or a friend to help eat it! You definitely get your money's worth in an inviting atmosphere! 10/10 would recommend.

It's Cinco de Mayo today and that means Mexican food (okay, it's technically Tex Mex) so we headed to Hermano's for lunch. We were seated quickly and drinks, chips and salsa promptly appeared. Salsa is not spicy and had a slight smokiness. I ordered my usual chicken sour cream enchiladas and my wife ordered the taco plate. I also requested some extra jalapeños for my enchiladas. Food was very good and the service by Daniela was outstanding. Y'all come check Hermano's out!

First off if you are larger than 175 lbs/80 kg or two people sitting opposite one another, YOU CANNOT SIT IN A BOOTH located in the second area after entering. I'm 130 lbs and I could hardy breathe with the table pushed my direction to accommodate my dinner partners. That's bad seating arrangements. The seating is super tight that everyone will suffer. I personally prefer booth seating, but here you'd be better off sitting at a table. The person seating us should have seen we had a large person in our group and offered a table. Our fault too for not asking to move once we saw the tables would not budge. This really distracted from spending time with friends. (This restaurant used to be known as Mexi-Go.) Looks the same with some changes to the menu. Price is still affordable. The food is decent and I attached pics. Our waitress was detached and not good at waiting tables. She never checked on us to refill drinks or checked to see if our table had additional needs. Refill on salsa would have been nice as well as refills on tea. She asked at the end if we wanted tea to go. A little late. She should have been filling the glasses from the start. They have unlimited chips and salsa! That's a plus and an upside to coming here. The salsa is canned tomatoes. Nothing special anymore. So I think refills were not missed. I'll return with great hesitation. With greater awareness of seating being a factor. February 2025

I had seen this restaurant several times and finally decided to stop for lunch. The server and host were attentive. The salsa needed more flavor. The enchiladas were good. You really can't go wrong with enchiladas too much. It was not too crowded for lunch, which I enjoyed and it wasn't noisy.

This is our first time visiting this restaurant. We ordered the famous molcajete! And youngest had the kids burrito. The food was delicious and service was great! We will definitely visit again!

FRESH TORTILLAS! Mexi-Go, now named Hermano's, is one of the only tex mex restaurants in the area that serves fresh flour tortillas. They are a must with any visit. The food is good, not great, and it really is the tortillas that keeps me coming back. It's a 3 star restaurant with a bonus star for those. I do appreciate the recent renovations and redecorating they've done...it's cute inside. I prefer this place over Salsa Tex Mex but I'd say the food is very similar in flavor and quality. The chips and salsa are okay, a 3/5 in my book. Similar rating for the guac, pico, and queso. I greatly prefer their white queso over their yellow. I usually get the tacos al carbon (4/5) which come on those tortillas I've raved about. Food: 3/5 +1 for the tortilla machine! Service: 3/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Price: 4/5

Decent service, good food and excellent margaritas in a clean restaurant is what you'll get here. The large Margarita my husband ordered was $16 but he said it was fantastic and he only needed one. It's got a nice layout with tables and booths in a well lit dining room. There's a long bar at the back where you could also sit but we could see the bartender making margaritas from our table.

I rate this restaurant as the best overall for the DFW area. Prices are fair, cleanliness, food taste, portions are good, and culinary effort is noticed, and service is superior.

I ate the Asian barbecue chicken sandwich and it was phenomenal. The breading was great, the sauce was delicious, and the contents complimented each other nicely. Another member of my group ate the fish and chips, also complimenting the breading. I would advise getting a fried dish here as it was delicious. The ambience was average bar type decor. So, we thought - why not, it's close- let's go and see if we like it better this time. Let's start with the positives. We arrived shortly after 5pm and the place was pretty empty so we were seated right away. The server was friendly and immediately took our drink orders. She was attentive and service was fast. No complaints with her service at all. It seemed pretty chill and low key. A few people trickled in but nothing crazy for a Saturday night. We ordered the pretzel appetizer and I was pleasantly surprised. The color of the pretzel had me fooled. It was pretty dark in color which usually indicates overdone and hard so when it was amazingly soft inside - wow! So good! We loved the mustard and cheese sauce that came with it. My husband and son ordered a burger and said they were tasty, my other son ordered the chicken strips and said they were good. Negative for the meal, I ordered the blackened cod tacos and subbed the chips and salsa for the Gilroy Garlic Fries. I was very excited for the garlic fries since we are originally from that area and are very knowledgeable about the famous Gilroy Garlic Festival and all things Garlic. Here's where this dish wasn't exciting - the tacos were pretty bland. I took the coleslaw from my son's chicken tenders to try and add more flavor and make the taco more palatable. I only ate 1 of the 2 because there really was just zero flavor. The fries were probably an even greater disappointment. In the center, was a very small amount of cheese and maybe garlic? It had virtually zero garlic taste - I was searching for it. It was a sad version of garlic fries. I would not order that again unless they were improved upon. I went back and forth on 3 stars versus 4 stars because while service was great and fast, I can't confidently say I'd recommend it to someone. I may say it's a great place to chill for a beer and an appetizer but definitely NOT a meal. I think if your expectations are to stick with the appetizer list then you're probably going to like it. They have a large beer selection and plenty of screens for your favorite games.

The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with TVs for games, live music on weekends, and plenty of indoor and outdoor space. The layout is thoughtfully designed, with patio seating, fire pits, and outdoor activities that make it feel like more than just a typical brewery. The drink selection is a standout. Even if beer isn't your thing, there are solid cocktail and mocktail options. The beer lineup itself is strong, featuring a mix of American and European styles. One thing to note is that serving sizes tend to be on the smaller side, with only a few options available in a 0.5L stein. Service has been consistently friendly and efficient. Food and drinks often arrive very quickly, even during busier times, which is a big plus. The food is good overall but falls into the "solid bar food" category. There are a few highlights, like the cheese curds, which are excellent and a clear favorite. Other dishes such as fish and chips, mac and cheese, and soup are enjoyable but not especially memorable. The burgers are a bit of a letdown, and some of the higher-priced items, like the salmon and short ribs (which resemble more of a chuck roast), are better found elsewhere. Overall, Armor Brewing is a fun, reliable spot to grab a drink and enjoy a lively atmosphere. While the food can be inconsistent and leans toward average bar fare, the drinks, service, and overall experience make it worth coming back.
