I've Recently moved here and ate here 3 times so far and food has been amazing each time

A friend of a friend told us about this unique spot, it was used to be a gas station and now a restaurant, located next to an auto shop. The customer service was excellent, and the space inside was nice and roomy. I had the sausage, egg, potato, and cheese burrito, and I also got to try my friend's mango papaya drink. Everything was fresh and flavorful! This will definitely be my go-to breakfast spot whenever I'm in the area. Can't wait to come back and try the lunch menu! Trompitoz is a community gem! If you're looking for good authentic street tacos this is the spot. The prices are right and the service is quick whether you choose to take out or dine in. There really is no designated parking, it's kind of just wherever you can fit and not be in the way. My go to is the carnitas with a small side of rice. The pork is very tender and juicy so it holds a good amount of flavor. The rice is nothing spectacular but it's good enough for me! My boyfriend loves the lengua and the birria tacos. According to him the birria has a great crunch on the outside but a perfectly juicy inside. Both the salsas are very good. They do also serve breakfast (unsure if there is a certain time frame) but I am anxious to give that a try one day. On the other side of the shop is dessert and they have some pretty good ice cream flavors! However, I was pretty disappointed by the churros. Just don't taste fresh and maybe a little too hard for my liking. read more

Worst costumer services ever. I went tonight and got elotes. Before they started making the elote I stated that I wanted all the water drained out since they don't cut the corn fresh from the Cobb. I got the elote ready and went home keep in mind I live 3 min away, I went to take the first bite and it was freezing cold like they had just taken out the fridge. I went back stated they were cold and wanted a refund. The owner tried to argue with me about how it was my fault for not trying it before I left and was not trying to refund me my money. As a business the should make sure that what they are serving is up to par and if it's not up to par they shouldn't argue with their customers. Learn how to run a business. read more

Incredible tacos incredible customer service, and incredible patience when dealing with difficult customers. I ordered shrimp, trompo & pollo all which were executed perfectly. Their salsa are great too. I normally don't even like the green one. I dined in. They served quite a few people after me who had really terrible attitudes for no reason at all. Customer service is bad, avoid this place. This place must have gone downhill, because the positive reviews are old and do not reflect the current restaurant. We're new to the city and decided to give this place a try, big mistake. I ordered tacos that were so forgettable I didn't even finish them. When I asked for a to-go box and one small red and one green salsa, they flat-out refused unless I paid extra. Seriously? You've got salsa sitting on every table that people can use freely, but suddenly it's a "premium item" the moment it goes in a tiny plastic cup? That kind of petty nickel-and-diming tells me everything I need to know about how this place is run. I was even about to buy ice cream to go, but if you're going to argue over a five-cent condiment, you don't deserve another dime of my money. I'll find another place to get tacos in the future, and tell my friends and neighbors to avoid it too. I've eaten at countless Mexican restaurants, and not one has ever charged for condiments. Congratulations, you managed to lose new customers over a spoonful of salsa. Horrible customer service and an even worse business model. read more

Birria was good but can't say that about any of the other meats sadly the barbacoa, pastor, chorizo, asada and rice came short to even tasting good. The hubby is forced to eat. Service was odd. Oh and the corn was bad too! Not sure if they were having a few days old food but that is what it tasted like. The place is so quiet no music or tv very weird emotions. Server look annoyed by his gestures. I also asked for a small drink and he charged me for a big. He conveniently didn't mention that's there only size. I said small! And when asked to taste there agua fresca he gave me a tiny cup that looked so beat up and looked used! I'm not sure how many people drank out of this do to him reusing it for my husband to try the other drink. I'm grossed out truly thinking he reused that cup! read more

Update: This remains our birria go to spot. This morning I branched out and tried their breakfast sandwich with lettuce, mater, avocado, fried egg, cheesy toast, bacon, and ham. I normally like getting beans and rice when I try spots that sell tacos and other great options. I do this because it lets me know if they know what they are doing or not. They know what they are doing. There is soul and passion behind that food. The rice was really good. The rice was fluffy. The grains were not stuck together. It has peas and carrots .. I am about 60% sure it had carrots. The beans were refried. The flavor was well kicked up with seasoning. The Birria broth whooo hoooo so good. I almost could have drank it. I will be back for sure! The tacos excellent! Meaty, cheesy, tasty all at the same damn time. It doesn't matter how big or small the place is. The food is hitting. I felt welcomed. It has good energy there. read more

Located near a busy highway (380) in Princeton this small hole in the wall has some of the best Birria tacos I've enjoyed. Located in an old gas station, I believe this a family owned place. My husband and I shared the Birria tacos and a few tacos de pastor and barbacoa. The one thing I must mention is the tacos are very well stuffed which is unusual for a lot of taco spots. Prices are good, however they do not offer water, one must buy bottled water. Salsa was ok but not my favorite. Service was ok. Would definitely stop by again. read more

This is a small mom & pop shop (those have the BEST food) with 2 different sides. One side has the tacos and things and the other has the corn/ice cream and lot of other things. We order some Birria tacos and 3 different street tacos (steak, brisket & barbacoa,) the Birria taco were SOOO GOOD, the only thing we didn't like was the steak taco so it was under seasoned, but the other 2 were good also. Don't let the outside fool you it's nice and clean inside with indoor dining. I got 2 Barbacoa tacos and 2 Lengua tacos and both were excellent. My wife got the spicy Cheeto elote and 2 pastor tacos. My favorite was the Barbacoa tacos with my wife's pastor tacos a close second. They give you plenty of meat in the tacos and the table sauce was great. I look forward to coming back! read more

I heard these guys have some of the best Birria tacos in town and so we gave them a go. First off, you have to know what you're gearing up for. This place is an old gas station turned restaurant/Mexican ice cream shop. It may be really clean, but definitely feels a little .. grunge. The gentleman who take our order was friendly enough. We ordered the Birria tacos; one a regular order, the other a large. The regular order has (3) tacos with a really small consume (broth) on the side. The large has (3) larger sized Birria tacos, a really small side of rice, and the consume. The tacos were good, but not outstanding. Add in two soft drinks from the fridge, a 20% tip, and you're out the door for $38 and still hungry. Had they given a us a decent side, I may have given them 4 vs 3 stars. If you're in the area, it's not a bad spot at all. But we made a 20 minute drive in from Allen and it's not a drive I'll make again to be left hungry with a good, but not great taco. read more

Went to Texas to visit my bro and I was like I lll be darned if I don't have some authentic Mexican food , it's located in a gas station/ tire shop and I just say it makes up for the outdoor that isn't not so pleasant . Now I didn't pick this spot my brother did but he was a winner of his choice . Food was great but the prices I think were much more than I've seen in previous times of me purchasing the same meal in another city but it's def good .
