You order at the kiosk when you walk in. They will call your name at the counter when your food is ready. It's a laid back environment where you sit wherever you want and grab your own utensils. There are a few TVs if you are interested in watching sports. Portions are huge. We tried fish tacos (grilled and fried), al pastor tacos, quesabirria tacos (personal favorite), and nachos. read more

Giving this place one star is being gracious. I ordered birria tacos. The tortillas were not even heated up. The meat was room temp at best. Let's put it this way - after being wrapped in foil with what should have been hot meat and a warm tortilla the cheese wasn't melted, in fact it's still fully shredded. Don't ask if the flavor is good, because I wouldn't know, when I tried to bite into the taco and it was cold I was done. All tacos were the same. They went straight in the trash. read more

Stopped by for a quick late lunch, our first time there and we were blown away by the food. Everything was so fresh and yummy! We tried a fish taco, spicy pork taco, chorizo quesadilla,and a Big Daddy burrito, all of which were terrific. The portions were very generous and cost less than we had expected. We gobbled everything down so fast that I didn't even get a chance to do photos, but that's good because now I have even more reason to go back. read more

Pretty good tacos, and very surprising given the location. Staff seemed preoccupied with some heated discussion, but I was able to get my order in and get my food. I think pollo and carne asada. Wish they would put the cilantro and onion on the side and I could use some chips and salsa and grilled onions. The place was clean. read more

Huge portions with lots of meat. Very similar to La Salsa Verde (more Mexican than Tex-Mex), with paletas and Horchata. Also self-serve checkout and clean mostly empty new seating (Saturday morning breakfast). Can't best that combo! We will be back for sure. read more

We love Daddys Tacos...have been eating there since our daughter found it several years ago...I am only giving it 3 stars because I was told cheese was 75 cents extra per taco...which I agreed to on our 8 tacos...after making a thing about it, this didn't happen...I understand mistakes get made, and its not a lot of money, but its the principle...we will still give it one more try. read more

Was in the area and stumbled across this taco joint. Was greeted by a friendly smile and ordered the brisket breakfast taco and a chorizo and eggs taco. Portion of meat on the brisket taco quite a bit, the brisket was tender just felt like it needed some seasoning on it. The salsa made up for some seasoning as both of them were very good. The tortillas were nothing special seemed as if they were store bought but that's no issue just a plus for those who do serve hand made. Overall decent place, will have to try the fajita and other proteins one day and the burrito prices are good. read more

Ordered lunch from here for delivery, so I can't speak on the service. But the quesadilla I had was awesome! I loved the flavor of the chicken fajita half. And the other half-shrimp-was also tasty. I liked that I could get both options, especially since I couldn't decide which to order. The chips and queso were just ok. But now I know to skip that and just go for the quesadilla. I'm a taco aficionado and eat tacos almost everyday. I love this place. I tried the Quesobrilla taco and the Barbacoa taco. They were delicious. The corn tortillas are homemade I believe. They have a solid menu and very nice staff and great service. Plenty of seating and an open kitchen which is nice. I will absolutely be coming back to try the rest of the menu read more

The restaurant is clean and the staff is very friendly, but the quality of food is alright. The queso tasted like processed cheese, just like the ones sold at concession stands. It was Tuesday and they had a deal on the chicken and beef fajita tacos. The chicken was really dry, the beef was super chewy, and the brisket was dry. I would recommend getting the grilled salmon, shrimp, or the al pastor. I had those last time and they were great! Overall, it's a good experience, if you choose the right items! read more

Went with my siblings. June 2nd. Nobody there at lunch time! First Flag! Most of the tables were dirty, adn had bits of taco residue left on the tables! We had to wipe down our table to make sure it was clean enougn to eat at. Staff seemed friendly enough. No issues there! No Taco sauces offered on the tables. Not used to that! I want to control my sauce choices! Ordered a variety of street tacos. None were hot and fresh. Reheated meat that was tough! Good portions, but underwhelming flavors! Not a do over for us! Prices were a wee bit high, I will give some grace for the portion size! Either way, there are much better taco shops that are better taco shops around that have MUCH better tacos for about $1.75 each! Won't be back for this underwhelming service and food!!! read more

I work all over town and it was just one of those days where I was STARVING! So I looked up places close by and the maps brought me to Daddy's Tacos and I am so glad it did! As soon as I walked in, the place was clean, there wasn't any trash on the floor. The music was not too loud and the food came out in minutes!!!!! Wow! Talk about hitting the spot! So check this out, I could've gone to get the same bowl at Chipotle BUT Daddy's taste better and it reminded me of a place similar to the one back in San Antonio. The tortillas, the salsa, the beans! Not an authentic mexican place. Definitely tex-mex ..The meats are pretty bland (birria had no flavor, salmon was just salty, carne asada was gummy and pretty flavorless) The chicken is okay, best option on my opinion. Don't go here if you're looking for authentic street tacos, this is not the place. If you're looking for a quick meal then this is for you. read more

Pretty much located down the street from me, I do love these tacos. Atmosphere - 4/5 - Not a large seating area, but clean and enough seating for several people. Staff - 4/5 - Friendly. If you are new, they can provide good suggestions on what to order. Food - 4/5 - I haven't ordered anything other than tacos here, but ordered several of the following: - Brisket Taco - 4/5 - Strong beef flavor, but a little salty. - Spicy Pork Taco - 4/5 - Very good pork taco, but not spicy at all. - Fish Taco (Fried) - 4.5/5 - Definitely my favorite, but I am a sucker for Fried Fish. For being a small time place it's good! Average style food and everyone has always been very nice. It is average and I will say that I like their Nachos a lot! My husband always orders their Brisket Tacos, their Carnitas Taco, and Shrimp Tacos. The Brisket Tacos are really good in my opinion and I will say for what it's worth. An opinion I will add all the food is a lot better before closing 1 hour+ before. I feel the closer to closing it just doesn't taste as good, maybe I am wrong- but as it is cooked fresh I feel it is SOO much better before closing! read more

I love their all day breakfast option, as sometimes I sleep in and want something simpler in the day. The wait is never too long and staff is kind and helpful if you have questions. They have ample indoor seating to accommodate larger groups or smaller ones as well if you're interested in dining in. I do wish they had Horchata though which they stopped making. read more

I knew from the second we walked in, based on the list of made-in-house horchatas and agua frescas, that we were going to be in for a good meal. The menu was refreshingly unique compared to your basic street taco style setup or the usual Tex-Mex mashup of inauthentic tacos topped with shredded cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes. Our group of 3 adults, plus my 7 year old niece, shared a bowl of guacamole, which was phenomenal and came mixed with sunflower seeds and topped with crumbled cotija, alongside house-made corn tortilla chips. We also split an elote cup, which was great. My wife got a classic horchata, which was deliciously sweet (but not overly so) with a nice slight punch of cinnamon. I went with water but will definitely try an agua fresca next time. I ordered two tacos, both on house-made flour tortillas (I like corn tortillas but prefer flour when made fresh). The Pollo Azteca, with marinated grilled chicken tenderloin, mango pico, and a drizzle of crema, was phenomenal, and had more flavor than most chicken tacos I've had before. The star of my meal, however, was the Al Pastor, with adobo marinated pork tenderloin, diced pineapple, onions, and cilantro, with a slice of lime to squeeze on top. This was hands down one of the best tacos I've ever had in my life. I was floored. I also tried my wife's Carne Asada tacos, which came topped with cilantro and onions, and a slice of lime, on their house made corn tortillas. The steak was incredibly flavorful, and the corn tortillas were tender without being chewy. We shared a side of rice and beans, which was good, but not the star of the show. The rice was your typical Mexican yellow rice, and the beans were more of a soupy whole-beans style, which reminded me of my Colombian mother-in-law's recipe. The staff makes four homemade salsas, ranging from mild to pretty spicy, and I loved all of them with the exception of the mild. My niece got the kids' cheese quesadilla, which was a simple melted Oaxaca cheese between a flour tortilla, served with rice, beans, and a little side of crema. The last thing I will rave about is the service. The brisket tacos were full of meat and much more than we expected for the $2.75 price. From the lavishly decorated restaurant and bar in all around the entire building, to its impressive selection of tequilas mezcals and whiskeys, to their unique taco ordering system that is heavily influenced by sushi bar ordering. I have been to many sushi restaurants and I've ordered my sushi and sashimi this way, but never Tacos. The quality of the food is top-notch, and everything is reasonably priced. The service, from the hosts in the front to Mr. Jeremy in the back manning the bar, engaging in conversation and conjuring up a killer mezcal concoction that I highly recommend. Which brings me to why I give this place a perfect score. Because when you go out to eat, it's not just about the food but about the experience about the ambience. Does the place invite you in and does the service keep you there? You combine those two elements with great food and you have a place that you will want to return to. So go visit and go to the back bar where Jeremy, the coolest bartender in DFW is. And ask him to make you his world famous Mezcal drink. Well, it may not be world famous yet, but we'll work on that part.
