Think I saw a post for this in IG so went to check it out when I was in the mood for a breakfast burrito. And like the name says, it was definitely big! Upon entering I was greeted by the person behind the counter. The inside is no frills with tables, an ordering counter, mini bar to the right, and a few tables. I did like they had a coffee station as well. Their menu is plentiful with tons of options but I was there for a breakfast burrito so I put in my order for the chorizo one. The burrito came out rather quickly and while I did to-go; by the time I got back home it was still hot. The eggs, potatoes, and chorizo messed well together and the burrito was BIG. It had little sauce to really bring it to life. The size was on the smaller side--not a huge issue on its own, but the taste didn't make up for it. I'd give it a 2.5 out of 5. Just a mid level burrito. It wasn't bad, just wasn't necessarily good either. The steak was well done so that's a plus. Shrimp Quesadilla The quesadilla had a nice touch of lime. The shrimp itself was alright, nothing special, and it leaned a little too tomatoey for me overall. It wasn't very loaded either, which made it feel a bit light. Overall, a 3 out of 5. Horchata The horchata was a highlight. It looked a little watered down, but surprisingly, it tasted really good--creamy and flavorful. A solid 4 out of 5. Flan The caramel syrup on the flan was delicious--rich and flavorful. But the actual flan itself was inconsistent in texture. Something felt like it was missing. I'd give it a 3.5 out of 5. Atmosphere The staff was friendly. The service was extremely fast, only took 5 minutes to get our food. They had soccer playing on the TV, which added to the vibe. Here in Allen, visiting from Arizona. We wanted some authentic breakfast burritos and I found El Grande on Yelp. Jackpot!! I ordered an assortment of 5 at the counter. They were made fresh to order and were delicious. The flavor combinations were great, potatoes were perfect- firm, not mushy. Generous portions, they cut them in 1/2 for u which makes them easier to handle. Also got a chile relleño burrito which was a treat, the flavor combos were great. Staff was friendly and efficient, open kitchen and restaurant itself very clean. I will definitely return, and look forward to trying other items on the menu! read more

BEST BREAKFAST BURRITO! I can only review two items on the menu because I only come here for breakfast. I always get the breakfast burrito and sometimes the breakfast croissant sandwich. The great thing is I can order the burrito the way I want it. Eggs, Cheese, Ham, Sausage and veggies and there is no up charge. It's huge and delicious you won't find a better breakfast burrito. The Croissant breakfast sandwich is great with a big thick slice of ham. I add bacon and Mayo. Everything is cooked to order fresh and hot. Simple interior nothing fancy yet clean. My husband is typically the one who picks up for us but he always remarks at how incredibly kind and attentive the staff is. The steak burrito is my main go to and it seriously never disappoints. This place opened decades ago. I went once,liked it,but for some reason never came back! But,here I am looking for a great breakfast burrito to go. They have grown substantially from a to go counter service to a full sit down menu. Order at the counter from a tremendous selection of Tex Mex fare. Take your seat and they bring it to your table. True to its name, this restaurant offers many different types of burritos in two different sizes and options of breakfast (main filler is egg) or dinner versions (main filler is rice). I grabbed a couple for a Sunday brunch for a gf and one for my partner so he didn't miss out on trying a new place: chile relleno, chicken fajita, and steak fajita. I called in the order which was ready for pickup within just 15 min. The place was small but the vibes were great - sizzling grill in the background, hub-bub of the kitchen clamor and chatter, good Latin music (I almost felt like dancing my way to the counter which says a lot after a late night for a non-morning person - the kind of music it's hard to stand still to), and service was courteous and fast! Like every good burrito establishment should, I was offered three different heats of salsa and asked for all three - non were mild and all were full of FLAVOR. The burritos were filling and delicious - accompanied by a special fizzy splurge on a couple of bottles of Sidral Mundet Apple soda. This took our burrito brunch up a notch;)! $45 (tip included) resulted in very full bellies for three adults and an excellent start to our Sunday! This used to be one of our favorite places to go for inexpensive, quality, and tasty Tex-Mex. place has changed hands and this new owner brings great customer service. People were coming in and out the whole time; place is hoping. Food was so tasty! I had the breakfast burrito with bacon. Wife ordered the Gordita with chorizo/egg. The burrito is for sure loaded with a lot of food, but I felt like there was not enough meat and that it was mostly sides. I only got a good bite of meat near the end of the burrito.
