This place is absolutely phenomenal and authentic! There street tacos with El Pastor are phenomenal and juicy. The gorditas with steak were amazing. Breakfast tacos were nasty. They don't have potatoes, and the beans are extremely watery. Their salsa has no flavor except spice. We waited 30 minutes for 4 tacos and nobody was in the store. We ordered bean and cheese and bacon and egg, that never shoulda taken 30 minutes. The worst part is the whole restaurant smells like bathroom, so on top of making you wait you have to sit in a hot room of bathroom smell. read more

My wife decided she wanted a cheeseburger for dinner but as I had just finished off a beer, I wanted something within walking distance. I checked Crazy's on line menu and I was right, they do burgers so I walked over. I ordered a double cheeseburger and my wife wanted a single. Both come with fries. Everything is prepared when ordered but the wait time was only about 10 minutes even considering there were customers ahead of me. Just like my previous experience, it was very good. The buns were toasted on the griddle and the burgers were made fresh. No pre frozen patties. Nope. Fresh meat and hand formed. They come with lettuce, onion, and tomato. And you add whatever mustard, mayo, etc. Great taste. And the fries are excellent. Large meal. I wanted a nap after eating it. Try them. You will like them. read more

Small hole in the wall tucked away in a neighborhood shopping center. We've tried it a few times as we live only a few blocks away. I'm sure it's popular for the Plano High students during the school year. Unfortunately, like some small establishments it's critical to come during peak hours. We've stopped by a few times when it was slow and you could tell the food was sitting prepped for quite some time. We wouldn't mind stopping in again when busy but be weary if it's empty. A good variety on the menu. The only downside was that the food took longer to come out then we thought it should. Maybe it was the choice of dish that I had requested. I had sopes with spicy pork. It might have taken time to get those tortillas set up and cooked to perfection. I had never had anything like that before but had sold on a menu at another restaurant and said I would have to give it a shot the next time I was in a Mexican restaurant. The spicy pork really said at all, and the tortilla that I chose was the excellent and appropriate choice for that. It stayed crispy and crunchy throughout the entire meal. I did not have to worry about a soggy tortilla with the filling falling through the bottom. I had rice and refried beans to go along with it. The dish was topped with lettuce tomato and sour cream. The salsa choices they had were an avocado crema, and a red tomato sauce. Both were spicy. My daughter tried both of them and said that she was glad that the tortilla which was flour and topped with barbacoa and rice and cheese was juicy enough where she did not have to have the salsa. She had rice and refried beans as well. That was the first time she had them, and she ate more than I thought she would. She was looking for all of the amenities that you would find at a Chipotle, but was surprisingly satisfied with the dishes, and asked when we could return to the place for lunch again. Prices were reasonable, and a huge variety including non-traditional dishes like burgers, chicken nuggets, and fries. They also had mole, soups, cocktail shrimp, among other things. They only had one table clean at the time so that helped us narrow down choices of where to sit. read more

I'm always on the lookout for dive joints that have great food, so when I saw this taco spot off the beaten path, I thought I'd give it a shot and see what I can find. When I walked in, the place didn't feel clean. I didn't let this discourage me, but it made me aware of my surroundings. I kept looking in corners and on the walls for anything that would make me leave. I ordered my food and the woman behind the register didn't seem too enthusiastic. I ordered a burrito and a taco plate. It was 6 dollars for a plain bean burrito. The food was brought out to me along with two sauces in squirt containers. My tacos were meh... just OK. The burrito was meh... just OK. My kids both wanted to leave because they said it was too dirty there. Wish I could write a review about anything but when I rolled up here to order some takeout, even though the "Open" sign was flashing, and the hours on the door said they were open until 9, all the chair/stools were upside down on tables and no one answered the number posted on their yelp page (it actually went to a fax machine?!). I had takeout for lunch from this place months ago that was good... maybe that's their main revenue time... too bad a sign wasn't posted on the door if there was an issue or something. The Tacos al Pastor here is my absolute favorite. Delicious every time. This place is nothing fancy, hole in the wall. Soda machines been out of service for a while, but they have bottled drinks. Gross, disgusting, putrid, awful, nasty... I could go on but I think that's enough. If it were possible, I'd give this dump 0 stars. I decided to give Crazy Tacos a try while visiting family near by. I ordered tacos for My aunt, three kids and myself to go. I should have canceled my order as soon as I started watching the cook assemble our food. Against my better judgment I didn't. They meats were all precooked and sitting in heated metal bins. Some of them had obviously sat a while. We tried the chicken fajita, the carnitas, the barbacoa and beef. All of them were bland, and cold to luke warm. I traveled with the tacos for less than 2 miles in my car in the Texas summer heat. The tortillas tasted like they were wal-mart brand. The kids even comment, "These are gross, they taste like cardboard." The little ones weren't far off. The beef had, what looked like, fried potato mixed in (not advertised on their menu, btw.) I'm honestly surprised none of us got food poisoning. I will NEVER eat here again and I warn all others to avoid this joint like the plague. read more

Neighbors bought some for a casual party at home and I really enjoyed their pork tacos! There was chicken and beef but the pork was my star! Filled w the usually herbs and veggies and not too heavy. Been there twice in the past week, and for good reason, too! These tacos are legit. They are the street tacos you can get without driving around trying to find a decent taco truck. Double-layered, flavorful corn tortilla. Good portion of protein. Cilantro and onion garnish. Very humble taco, but full of flavors. They give you red and green salsa. Use as much as you want, because they give you the whole darn bottle! I have had the Pastor, Carnitas, and Barbacoa. The Pastor is the one to get. Stopped there for lunch on a Saturday before my son's Tae Kwon Do class. We had chips and salsa, nachos and some tacos. The homemade salsa was medium spicy and fresh; a little thinner than I like but it was full of fresh flavor. The nachos were, well, nachos, in that they were great for a kid but not something I'd order. I got tacos with fajita meat and carnitas. The meat was fresh and flavorful and served in warm corn tortillas. The garnish of cilantro and onions was fresh, and the side salsas- red and green- were spiced nicely and flavorful. This is a good place for authentic tacos and a quick bite. It isn't fancy. It was, however, clean. The owner/chef cooks in the back and has a prep area in the front and I enjoyed watching him work. We've been here many times and can recommend the tacos (try their homemade salsas), burritos, quesadillas, shrimp cocktail, and soup. This is a simple place so don't expect anything fancy. If I were dining in, I would have been disappointed because the soda fountain was out of service and the whole place had a little bit of a funky odor... But, since I got carry out, I will say I had the best gorditas I have had since I was in Guadalajara eating from street vendors. If your five star standard is to not get food poisoning, then you could give it five stars I suppose. The price range is exceptionally high for a very mediocre plate. Place is trying to get too many dollars for their dime-a-dozen product. Menu has errors. Service is ehhh, not terrible. Saw a server eat and drink multiple times and not wash his hands. If you're gonna open a tex mex place in dfw, you're gonna need to bring something different to the table, or at least do it really well.
