    Spicy pork sopes
    Antonio G.

A good variety on the menu. The only downside was that the food took longer to come out then we thought it should. Maybe it was the choice of dish that I had requested. I had sopes with spicy pork. It might have taken time to get those tortillas set up and cooked to perfection. I had never had anything like that before but had sold on a menu at another restaurant and said I would have to give it a shot the next time I was in a Mexican restaurant. The spicy pork really said at all, and the tortilla that I chose was the excellent and appropriate choice for that. It stayed crispy and crunchy throughout the entire meal. I did not have to worry about a soggy tortilla with the filling falling through the bottom. I had rice and refried beans to go along with it. The dish was topped with lettuce tomato and sour cream. The salsa choices they had were an avocado crema, and a red tomato sauce. Both were spicy. My daughter tried both of them and said that she was glad that the tortilla which was flour and topped with barbacoa and rice and cheese was juicy enough where she did not have to have the salsa. She had rice and refried beans as well. That was the first time she had them, and she ate more than I thought she would. She was looking for all of the amenities that you would find at a Chipotle, but was surprisingly satisfied with the dishes, and asked when we could return to the place for lunch again. Prices were reasonable, and a huge variety including non-traditional dishes like burgers, chicken nuggets, and fries. They also had mole, soups, cocktail shrimp, among other things. They only had one table clean at the time so that helped us narrow down choices of where to sit.

    Carne Asada on flour!

Bomb dot com! Came here a couple of times while I was in training. The tacos were very well seasoned (carne Asada and al pastor), and fresh! I asked for corn, and accidentally received my tacos on flour - Pleasant mishap! I Will definitely be back here.

Try their hand-made tortillas with Barbocoa beef - it's the best! Very friendly service and the place is exceptionally clean. Ample parking and quiet ambience. I would come here again.

Stopped in because I work close and it was great. I got the verse sauce chicken enchiladas and they were delicious.

Good street style tacos. Nothing fancy, but delicious tacos. Prices are decent but and average for tacos in the area.

This was only our 2nd time here and I am not sure why... I have a feeling #3 wont be far behind…read more The food is fantastic. Period. I am not a big fish person and hubby loves something fried so a healthy fishy meal isn't our first go to, but we went outside our normal tonight. And we left so satisfied. For apps, the mac and cheese bites with crab. This should feel heavy but it doesn't. Moist and full of flavor. We did the crab fingers (special on the black board... pay attention to the specials they are fire). Tons of crab for the price and the chowder type sauce was so good. I just wish I had more bread to soak it up. Dinner was the tuna with mango sauce. I got mine rare and it was perfectly cooked. The filet was well seasoned and the sauce complimented it well. Large portion of tuna. He got the special (do not sleep on the black board) flounder stuffed with crab and shrimp. Absolutely amazing. I have never ever ordered flounder before but I guarantee ill order it if we return and its a special. Service was fast snd everyone was attentive. Cant wait until we go back.

This place has been highly recommended with rave reviews, but unfortunately, the food did not live…read moreup to the expectations. Our server was very attentive and welcoming! The menu pricing is fair given its seafood but not super affordable either. We started with the Oysters Rockefeller. The oysters were massive! However, I wasn't really a fan of the sauce, and especially not the lettuce. Because the dish was served hot, the lettuce was soggy and impacted both the texture and taste of the overall dish. The best thing, in my opinion, were the Mac and cheese crab cakes. A truly genius combination. Lastly, the fried catfish was just okay. It was kind of bland but not super crispy either. The portion is really big though. The fries on the side were soggy too and could have spent a couple more minutes in the frier.

Ever been hangry but can't figure out what to stuff in your belly? That's me tonight on a Tuesday…read more I ended up here and, honestly, I don't know that I'd go back. I got a small gumbo and catfish nuggets at 6.99 each. Even though they have a sign on the door for drink specials, apparently they didn't last more than like two months because they aren't offering that anymore. So I just asked for a water cup. 15.12 and you order at the counter and get your own drink. The water button on the soda machine sticks, so prepare for it to run for like a full 45 seconds before it magically unsticks. Gumbo came out in about ten minutes, but weirdly wasn't hot. Catfish nuggets came out about ten minutes after that (weird since they are both apps) and I asked for my soup to be reheated. I tried a nugget and it was ok, but there's like zero seasoning on them. Bland as my last tinder date people. For a place that touts New Orleans in the name, there's no creole/cajun influence here. Everything was just bland, especially the gumbo. By the way, he took it to reheat and by the time he returned it (14 min later) I needed to leave. He was nice enough to give me a lid and bag though. Service was ok, but there's like one guy and when he disappeared it was for ten minutes. I don't know if he was having to cook it or what but it made service slow. I've visited three times now and feel a three is appropriate. It's fine if you aren't looking for what the name implies.

The good: I absolutely love the food here. There is so much flavor. The food always comes out hot…read moreand fresh and prepared well. You will not be disappointed in the food. The menu is simple so I have been able to try almost everything without any regrets. The restaurant is clean and and the decor is fun. They offer standard fountain drinks and bottled beers as well. The bad: Don't let the displayed restaurant hours fool you. Despite stating that they close at 8:30 they will NOT seat you after 7:30. Togo orders are accepted until 7:55. The frustrating part is that most people have to find these details out the hard way, which is after they have made the journey to the restaurant. I just wish their restaurant hours were clearer. Also, some of staff members are not as courteous as others. Conclusion: Definitely try it out. Just be mindful of the hours I mentioned. The quality of the food is worth the inconsistencies in the hours and staff.
