The food was great, I split a chocolate chip pancake with my daughter (they're big, it was the size of a medium sized plate) and we loved it! My husband got the classic eggs Benedict and the million dollar potatoes (I tried the potatoes too, they were delicious!). It's hard to find a place that cooks the eggs in the Benedict correctly where they're runny when you cut into them and the eggs were cooked perfectly. My son got the grilled cheese sandwich and liked it as well. The service was great, our waitress was attentive and knowledgeable. There was around a 30 minute wait for a table (but we came in on a Sunday right as soon as the first church crowd got out of their services, so it was kind of expected). The ambiance of the restaurant fit the theme and everything was put together well. Overall a great experience and we will be back! read more

Got there around 9am and waited about 20 minutes for a table -- not bad for a Saturday morning! Parking is easy and plenty. The server was friendly and our food came out pretty quickly. I had the Farmhouse Skillet, which was a good portion and really tasty. My daughter had the sourdough grilled cheese and said it was delicious, and my husband got the French toast, which came with a mixed berry jam that was sooo good. Don't let the pictures fool you. It looked way better than it tasted. We typically love First Watch. It's one of our favorite breakfast places. But today, it was definitely lacking. The food came out cold, if it came out at all. We ordered the donut holes and the sweet waitress must've forgotten to put the order in because we had to remind her. The potatoes were cold. The chikichanga was cold. The eggs were cold. Thankfully, the drinks were also cold, as they should be. It took a while to get served and for the food to come out. It's a Monday morning, not very busy. We'll probably stick to the Plano location even though the Allen location is literal minutes from our home. read more

A nice airy and well lit restaurant with a great ambience that worked well for us! Le Anne got us seated quickly and then proceed to wait on us . She was very friendly and courteous and paid complete attention to our needs . We ordered coffee , Maple Bacon Croissant Sandwich and Frittata Rustica. First Watch is a great spot for breakfast or brunch and it's kid-friendly too. Our kids like the kid's menu options, we like the fresh and healthy options and the drinks too. I do agree with others, the WaitList is a joke. As others have said they don't actually add you to the list until you check in and there is seating for maybe 4 people inside otherwise you're outside standing around. My go-to is the Power Bowl - Power Breakfast Quinoa Bowl, it is so hearty and filling and the ingredients go so well together! Others I have tried and liked are the Farm Stand Breakfast Tacos, The Power Wrap and the Traditional Breakfast. My husband really enjoys the new SoCal Breakfast Hash and they used to have a breakfast croissant sandwich that was his go-to. read more

Do yourself a favor and RUN to First Watch!! It was my first time at any of their locations and I'm so glad this was my first experience!! The staff was incredibly friendly, quick, and knowledgeable. They were so accommodating as well, despite the fact that there were hundreds and hundreds of us (there was an event at the Event Center). This place is beautiful and SO CLEAN! I was impressed by how neat and clean everything was, knowing this has to be one of the busiest locations being that it's next to the Event Center. Now the food... y'all the FOOD. 100/10. I came to First Watch this morning and ordered breakfast tacos with blueberries instead of black beans. When my meal came out, it came out with the blueberries they use for the pancakes, not the fresh ones the ones that come out of a bag that are frozen. When I mentioned it, they said those are the only berries we have this is the only First Watch I've ever been to that doesn't have fresh blueberries. They really didn't have them. Very different in appearance from my neighborhood First Watch in Austin, but wonderful menu - and cocktail service! I needed a 30-minute turnaround, so I seated myself at the bar and mentioned my time constraints. The man behind the bar today - I wish I had asked his name - was FANTASTIC! What hustle! Never wasted a step, presented my check immediately so I wouldn't need to wait on him, delivered my food still piping hot. I love First Watch because they know how to dress greens and their menus are varied and distinctive, but WOW! The service today just knocked it out of the park. Loved it! read more

From the look and feel, to the service, and the gorgeous plates even. This trendy new breakfast offers elevated menu selections and I am in love. The Morning Meditation juice is my jam. The toast even- I could just come in and eat the toast. For real, I am in love with the potatoes. They are not potatoes from a bag in the freezer (at least I don't think so). They taste fresh and amazing. We all loved our breakfast experience and cannot wait to cone back and try other offerings. Grand opening day! Service was ok at 7:45am. Not sure if everyone knows it's open yet though. It used to be the old Paradise Bakery, but they did such a good job renovating, that the ambience feels so bright and farmhouse looking. We received a free pot of Project Sunrise coffee to start the morning with. It's complimentary all week for grand opening. Your table is equipped with both flavored creamer and sugar. We ordered the salmon frittata and the classic eggs Benedict. The Benedict was soo yummy and creamy. I received 2 perfectly poached eggs. Both dishes came with a good helping of greens, which I appreciated. We cleaned off both of our plates. There were tons of people around who asked how the food was. Everyone was smiling from ear to ear. Our waiter however seemed a bit rushed though for some reason. It wasn't busy at all and he handed us our check already mid eating. That part is annoying when it's clearly not necessary. There was no small talk or getting to know the customer, but whatever...the food was great. I absolutely love first watch but this was the first time that I had visited this location. My waiter, LeAnn was so kind and patient with me when I wanted to order and even throughout my visit. I did get seated though by the door and it was on a very cold day so it was a little disturbing every time someone went in and out. The restaurant itself was so clean and organized and had such a great vibe to it. It was not busy at all the morning that I went and there was plenty of seating available. As for the food, I absolutely love their chia seed pudding and it did not disappoint once again as well as their million dollar bacon (which is a MUST)! Tasted very fresh, all plates came hot, and the waitress was very accommodating to specific wishes such as things on the side and extra milk for coffee. Only downside was the fact that there are no espresso drinks, only refills on black house coffee (which was still very OK). They do not have Nutella either, but we received almond butter as a side topping instead! Overall can only recommend and would definitely come here regularly if I lived in the area. Seating was also very comfortable, and service was fast. All surfaces looked clean and it was well-kept. Amazing food and blackberry iced tea. I had the broccoli cheese soup and an excellent salad. We got there at 1 pm and were out by 1:45 just in time for a doctor appointment. Good food poorly executed. We stopped for a late Saturday lunch at First Watch. We had enjoyed other locations and knew what to expect--good food with a busy atmosphere. There was a slight wait and three of us were seated and greeted. We ordered as soon as our drinks arrived and that is where things started to go off the rails. After about 15 minutes, one of the three dishes (pancakes) arrived. Five minutes later, the second dish arrived, but instead of a full sandwich and soup, it was a half sandwich. It was sent back before it even hit the table. Before the third person's dish arrived, the fixed sandwich returned. A few minutes later, the third meal arrived, as well as the syrup and side dish for the pancakes. While all the dishes were good, the kitchen really needs help timing their plating. We were not the only one experiencing this issue. The couple next to us had almost ten minutes between their dishes. The one was almost done but the time the second dish arrived. The people were nice, the food was good, but just don't expect to eat at the same time. read more

Their ambience is always nicely done, the people that work there and the service is top shelf. And then let's talk about the food showing? They offer a wide variety of yummy, delicious, breakfast choices and lunch choices. Freshly made nicely presented. When I got my coffee, they gave me a coffee pot to reload myself, they brought me a cold glass and a cold carafe of water so I could serve myself. They also brought out a warm bottle of syrup for my pancake. It's those little touches that highlight this restaurant above the many places you could go get breakfast or lunch . I highly recommend this place if you're in the Allen Texas area or if there's one near your town? Or just rolling through on your way to somewhere else. Consistently good breakfast and lunch, friendly service, and usually pretty quick seating, even on Sunday mornings with the busy after-church crowd! Clean, bright interior that's a pleasant place to enjoy a quick meal. Excellent coffee, and we love that First Watch gives you your own carafe so you don't have to keep bothering a server for refills. We're giving 4 stars instead of 5, as we've found that some of the menu items aren't quite as well-executed as others. For example, the Italian frittata includes a tasty mix of veggies and cheese that we love, but every time we've ordered this frittata, it seems just a bit too dry and overcooked. Luke warm food. We asked if the kitchen could cook the food as ordered and were told items like potatoes and hash browns are cooked ahead of time and heated on the plate. It's not a great standard. I've been here a couple of time never really had a great time here, food is good for the most part potatoes seemed a little under cooked and avocado hard as a rock. Honestly, It's always been service for me and every time I've came here, It's been very underwhelming. When I asked the waitress to top off my coffee, she filled it halfway full and left the canister on the side, making a mess. She also didn't come by and check up on me not to mention, she brought out to you check when the food came out. I would've let the slide if this was the first time or the only time I've experienced bad service at a location, but to know that I've been here a couple times and had the same experience. Great second experience at the recently opened First Watch in Allen. We visit Dallas from So Cal regularly for business, and have visited a few First Watch locations. This location exceeds other locations in our experience in both food preparation and service. Our food and juices were fantastic. My husband had the seasonal shishito brisket hash; it was filling and delicious. I had the biscuits and gravy with turkey sausage. Delicious! The biscuit was fresh, which has sometimes been an issue at other locations we've visited. Our server, and the manager on duty on June 8, 2024, were great. read more
