But I was pleasantly surprised when I stepped into the Alan location. The only reason I gave it a chance is because it was in front of the hotel I was staying at. I started off with $1 million bloody Mary. Wow, surprised me! Super delicious after adding about a gallon of Tabasco sauce to it. Not that it needed it, but if you know me, I love Spicy! Since I wasn't that hungry, I decided to order the million dollar potatoes, and million dollar bacon. Both were super delicious! I sat at the bar since it was only me, and the restaurant was pretty busy. But the service behind the bar counter was exemplary! The server was very attentive and kept checking on me almost to the point of annoying, but she was super sweet! I'll give First watch a huge two thumbs up at this particular location. Well I knew things were not going to be good when the table next to me sent their meal back, complaining that it was soggy and drowning in grease. It took more than 30 minutes to bring out a sandwich during lunchtime. Sandwich looked like it was on Wonder White bread. No sauce, no spread, dry, just turkey, lettuce, tomato, bacon and a slice of avocado. I could have made it at home and saved $14. read more

A nice airy and well lit restaurant with a great ambience that worked well for us! Le Anne got us seated quickly and then proceed to wait on us . She was very friendly and courteous and paid complete attention to our needs . We ordered coffee , Maple Bacon Croissant Sandwich and Frittata Rustica. Got there around 9am and waited about 20 minutes for a table -- not bad for a Saturday morning! Parking is easy and plenty. The server was friendly and our food came out pretty quickly. I had the Farmhouse Skillet, which was a good portion and really tasty. My daughter had the sourdough grilled cheese and said it was delicious, and my husband got the French toast, which came with a mixed berry jam that was sooo good. I placed a pickup order so it could be orderly and save time. When I got to my destination after picking up my order they forgot to pack 1 of my 5 plates. I went all the way back and they re ordered that missing plate. After 30mins í asked if my order was close to being finished because lunch time had passed for us. They didn't include the bread that was supposed to be included and when I asked for silverware the gentleman threw his hands up as I was being difficult. I did not request anything more than what they were suppose to offer. No apologies and so late. If you want something quick and good customer service this is not the place. Don't have an online check in to reserve a spot if it's not accurate and doesn't even reserve your place. Online said 10-20 minute wait and "reserve your spot". But when we showed up it was over an hour wait and still had to put our name to start our place in line. Food was great once we got sat, just frustrating. read more

First Watch is a great spot for breakfast or brunch and it's kid-friendly too. Our kids like the kid's menu options, we like the fresh and healthy options and the drinks too. I do agree with others, the WaitList is a joke. As others have said they don't actually add you to the list until you check in and there is seating for maybe 4 people inside otherwise you're outside standing around. My go-to is the Power Bowl - Power Breakfast Quinoa Bowl, it is so hearty and filling and the ingredients go so well together! Others I have tried and liked are the Farm Stand Breakfast Tacos, The Power Wrap and the Traditional Breakfast. My husband really enjoys the new SoCal Breakfast Hash and they used to have a breakfast croissant sandwich that was his go-to. read more

Do yourself a favor and RUN to First Watch!! It was my first time at any of their locations and I'm so glad this was my first experience!! The staff was incredibly friendly, quick, and knowledgeable. They were so accommodating as well, despite the fact that there were hundreds and hundreds of us (there was an event at the Event Center). This place is beautiful and SO CLEAN! I was impressed by how neat and clean everything was, knowing this has to be one of the busiest locations being that it's next to the Event Center. Now the food... y'all the FOOD. 100/10. Don't let the pictures fool you. It looked way better than it tasted. We typically love First Watch. It's one of our favorite breakfast places. But today, it was definitely lacking. The food came out cold, if it came out at all. We ordered the donut holes and the sweet waitress must've forgotten to put the order in because we had to remind her. The potatoes were cold. The chikichanga was cold. The eggs were cold. Thankfully, the drinks were also cold, as they should be. It took a while to get served and for the food to come out. It's a Monday morning, not very busy. We'll probably stick to the Plano location even though the Allen location is literal minutes from our home. read more

I needed a 30-minute turnaround, so I seated myself at the bar and mentioned my time constraints. The man behind the bar today - I wish I had asked his name - was FANTASTIC! What hustle! Never wasted a step, presented my check immediately so I wouldn't need to wait on him, delivered my food still piping hot. The food was great, I split a chocolate chip pancake with my daughter (they're big, it was the size of a medium sized plate) and we loved it! My husband got the classic eggs Benedict and the million dollar potatoes (I tried the potatoes too, they were delicious!). It's hard to find a place that cooks the eggs in the Benedict correctly where they're runny when you cut into them and the eggs were cooked perfectly. My son got the grilled cheese sandwich and liked it as well. The service was great, our waitress was attentive and knowledgeable. There was around a 30 minute wait for a table (but we came in on a Sunday right as soon as the first church crowd got out of their services, so it was kind of expected). I came to First Watch this morning and ordered breakfast tacos with blueberries instead of black beans. When my meal came out, it came out with the blueberries they use for the pancakes, not the fresh ones the ones that come out of a bag that are frozen. When I mentioned it, they said those are the only berries we have this is the only First Watch I've ever been to that doesn't have fresh blueberries. They really didn't have them. Today we joined the online waitlist for First Watch at 11:38am. By 1:30pm, the app showed our table would be ready in 0-5 minutes. We checked in at 1:32pm and were told our table was not actually ready. After waiting another 10 minutes, I asked for a status update and was then informed our wait would actually be over 30 more minutes because "the wait time starts when you check in, not when you join the waitlist." The issue was not just the delay, it was how the situation was handled. Instead of apologizing and trying to remedy the situation, the employee blamed customers, saying "people place their name on the waitlist all the time and do not show up." That is not the customer's responsibility. The entire purpose of an online waitlist is to maximize efficiency, reduce lobby congestion, and improve the guest experience. What made this especially frustrating was being told we would not be prioritized because "people have been here waiting over 30 minutes, you just got here, that is not fair." We *have* been waiting, we simply used the online system exactly as intended (which he physically showed us his tablet where it showed when we joined the wait list and the check in time, accounting for how long we had been waiting). Had the situation been handled with accountability and professionalism, this likely would not have escalated. Unfortunately, after this interaction at the hostess stand, multiple other guests spoke up saying they were experiencing the exact same issue with the waitlist system and rude interaction with this staff member. I've always enjoyed First Watch and the food is incredible, which makes this especially disappointing. Customer service matters just as much as the food, and this experience will definitely make me consider other options moving forward. read more

My new favorite breakfast and brunch location. Great healthier options. Hoping they can add vegan in the future but I can work with this menu for now. Seriously in love. From the look and feel, to the service, and the gorgeous plates even. This trendy new breakfast offers elevated menu selections and I am in love. The Morning Meditation juice is my jam. The toast even- I could just come in and eat the toast. For real, I am in love with the potatoes. They are not potatoes from a bag in the freezer (at least I don't think so). They taste fresh and amazing. We all loved our breakfast experience and cannot wait to cone back and try other offerings. Of note: the ticket comes with each diner completely separated as well as totaled so each diner can either pay individually or as a whole and completely calculate their contribution. Grand opening day! Service was ok at 7:45am. Not sure if everyone knows it's open yet though. It used to be the old Paradise Bakery, but they did such a good job renovating, that the ambience feels so bright and farmhouse looking. We received a free pot of Project Sunrise coffee to start the morning with. It's complimentary all week for grand opening. Your table is equipped with both flavored creamer and sugar. We ordered the salmon frittata and the classic eggs Benedict. The Benedict was soo yummy and creamy. I received 2 perfectly poached eggs. Both dishes came with a good helping of greens, which I appreciated. We cleaned off both of our plates. There were tons of people around who asked how the food was. Everyone was smiling from ear to ear. Our waiter however seemed a bit rushed though for some reason. It wasn't busy at all and he handed us our check already mid eating. That part is annoying when it's clearly not necessary. There was no small talk or getting to know the customer, but whatever...the food was great. I absolutely love first watch but this was the first time that I had visited this location. My waiter, LeAnn was so kind and patient with me when I wanted to order and even throughout my visit. I did get seated though by the door and it was on a very cold day so it was a little disturbing every time someone went in and out. The restaurant itself was so clean and organized and had such a great vibe to it. It was not busy at all the morning that I went and there was plenty of seating available. As for the food, I absolutely love their chia seed pudding and it did not disappoint once again as well as their million dollar bacon (which is a MUST)! Tasted very fresh, all plates came hot, and the waitress was very accommodating to specific wishes such as things on the side and extra milk for coffee. Only downside was the fact that there are no espresso drinks, only refills on black house coffee (which was still very OK). They do not have Nutella either, but we received almond butter as a side topping instead! Overall can only recommend and would definitely come here regularly if I lived in the area. Good food poorly executed. We stopped for a late Saturday lunch at First Watch. We had enjoyed other locations and knew what to expect--good food with a busy atmosphere. There was a slight wait and three of us were seated and greeted. We ordered as soon as our drinks arrived and that is where things started to go off the rails. After about 15 minutes, one of the three dishes (pancakes) arrived. Five minutes later, the second dish arrived, but instead of a full sandwich and soup, it was a half sandwich. It was sent back before it even hit the table. Before the third person's dish arrived, the fixed sandwich returned. A few minutes later, the third meal arrived, as well as the syrup and side dish for the pancakes. While all the dishes were good, the kitchen really needs help timing their plating. We were not the only one experiencing this issue. The couple next to us had almost ten minutes between their dishes. The one was almost done but the time the second dish arrived. The people were nice, the food was good, but just don't expect to eat at the same time. read more
