Review your check before paying! We ordered a dish called Migas without any protein and a Brisket Skillet with pancakes. It was bland but didn't make it a big deal since there was salt, pepper, and many other condiments available for customers. When we received our check, they priced the Migas dish as if we ordered protein and when we mentioned that it might have been entered incorrectly, they came back and said it's because of the bed of avocado. We were never asked if we wanted avocado nor was it ever mentioned that it would be an extra charge. Both the Brisket Skillet and Migas dish we received had avocado on it when it arrived so it didn't make sense with how they were explaining to us on the extra charge for avocados for one dish but not the other. Ultimately, we paid them what was asked, did not escalate the situation, and thanked them on our way out. It's a nice brunch spot, but I think communication with customers could be improved. read more

This place is a franchise so nothing too spectacular on the food but it is decent quality taste overall compared to other breakfast chains. It is also located at the Adriatic village (Croatia inspired) so it is a nice spot to grab breakfast and take a stroll and hang around the village like the waterfront trail overseeing castles and bridges. Starwood came to mind so I headed north. I was surprised they weren't busier at 8:45 on a Friday morning. Still it took longer than necessary for someone to show up and seat us. While I was waiting,I couldn't help noticing the dirty plate sitting on the hostess stand! That's a first for me,anywhere. As a result my radar was up and the self talk started. Something's amiss. That would have never happened in the other Starwood visits. Is this well oiled machine in decline. Unfortunately after coming here with high 5 star expectations,I was now feeling guarded and hoping not to be disappointed. Same great selections on the menu,same decor and good prices. Unfortunately,the service was off. After telling the waiter we needed more time he did his disappearing act. Finally we ordered. Thank goodness the kitchen is still on cruise control. The food met expectations with an additional fresh orange juice surprise. I would return,however,part of their challenge is competition is getting thick in the area and they're misfiring. Just had the rudest experience. When we arrived, the hostess indicated they would get our table ready & we'd be seated shortly (there was only one other gentleman waiting). She never indicated there would be a long wait. 30 minutes later, we still had not been sat despite several other groups of similar size coming in after us & being sat right away. When we questioned how much longer, the insanely rude hostess barked at us & said "at least 10 more minutes". When we asked why other groups had been sat before us, she was clearly flustered & had no answer. At that point, we decided to leave & go next door & had a lovely experience at another restaurant. My eggs Benedict was cold, the English muffin was tough and stale, and the hash browns that I asked for extra crispy were barely done. This is a catchy little brunch place however some issues I had during our experience for first timers. It was extremely hot in the restaurant. It's very loud and bustling! The waitress had zero personality and was hard to understand. The food was delicious and there was an abundance of options! The one thing that was annoying was the loud banging of dishes being thrown into a tub I assume. Every time it made the most obnoxious noise and did not make the experience any better. Excellent breakfast! We came here for the first time and the staff is top notch with customer service. The Belgium waffle is an A+ and we will come gable just to get more waffles. They are cooked perfectly and have a delicious flavor. We also ordered the Starwood Benedict with hash browns. It was very good! We ordered two biscuits and they were good but not great. Their waffles are great! Our waiter Rudy was absolutely the best! The staff is all smiling and helpful which tells you a lot about a restaurant. Ordered the Dad's breakfast and was very disappointed, it's on me that I misread it. Who eats eggs without hash browns? That's what some of these breakfasts come without So for 9$ I got bacon and eggs also pancakes but 9$? I had a .50 up charge for their wheat pancakes. The syrup was runny and lacked maple flavor. Watered down? I tried the jam as well but still the pancakes tasted awful. Decided it wasn't the syrup or jam but the pancakes were off. My colleague and I got the biscuits and gravy today. The biscuits needed to be cooked longer as they were a little doughy in the center. The gravy was OK, but nothing special. If anything, a little bland. It's supposed to be sausage gravy, but I don't recall seeing any.
