First of all, the food was good...we arrived mid morning after a medical appointment and the café had light to moderate customers. My wife and I ordered breakfast items. Nothing fancy, 1 egg, 1 pancake, ham for my wife and I had bacon and 2eggs a la carte. We both had coffee. That's it. Nothing more. The tab was $30.00. I rated this review based on food, which, as I stated was good. If I rated on value, it would be 1 star. I'm trying to be fair. The service was not as attentive as it should have been. We had to ask for refills and the waitperson was not visible most of the time. Service gets 2 stars. This was a one time visit because we were well out of our usual area but future trips to the medical facility will not include a stop at Sunview Café. I can find food just as good at half the cost elsewhere. Ambiance gets 3 stars because it's a typical café with nothing special going on. Nice clean brunch spot, waitress & hostess were very distracted and in my opinion it was not that busy, but it was an hour or so before closing so maybe it had been busy earlier. I would have almost traded my eggs and bacon for that bowl of oatmeal my wife had. It looked good, and she said it was good. Check the pictures. I had my usual. The hashbrowns could have been a little crispier. Certainly not cooked as I ordered. I doubt if the cook staff gets bogged down with the details of the order. They dip it out and get it out. The food was out in seconds after the waiter left the table. That's good if you are in a hurry. They serve the Segafredo Zanetti brand coffee. It might be a little too flavorful for the average diner, that is used to bland coffee. I liked it. The service is average. Diner ambiance. Clean. Not as crowded as you would expect a diner to be on a Sunday morning. That's an indicator. read more

Wonderful overall experience! I was going to go to First Watch, but decided to stay local, and it ended up being great! This is a great alternative to other breakfast places that are jam packed and too busy to give good service. The chicken fried steak was chef's kiss! Contaminated food, false info on menus, unbothered staff . I've been coming to Sunview in Anna for the past couple of months, usually once or twice a week, and I always order the same meal: the Skillet Chicken Carnitas with a side of fruit\. The menu clearly states that it comes with a side. When I called in my order, the employee told me it no longer comes with a side and that the hash browns (which are the base of the Chicken Carnitas) count as the side. I explained that I've been ordering this exact meal for months and have always received a side of fruit. Her response was, "Sorry, I literally just work here.. It's under new management and ownership. It is what it is." I accepted it and picked up my food, but when I started eating , I found that the hash browns had burned a hole through the bottom of the Styrofoam container, leaving melted Styrofoam stuck to the food\. The entire meal had to be thrown away. So I was out $16 and didn't even get to eat it. I'm not upset about policies changing under new ownership--that happens. I'm simply asking that the menus be updated to reflect those changes and that extra care be taken when packaging very hot food in Styrofoam containers so customers don't end up with contaminated meals. read more

We walked in at lunchtime after 1 PM to a quiet and mostly empty restaurant. We were seated at a front booth and there seem to be a little bit of reluctance from the waitress to serve us. Or at least that's how it appeared between the emotions from the hostess and the waitress. The waitress brought our drinks rather quickly, but our table had not been serviced, so there was no sugar for our coffee and very little cream. She seemed very eager to make us order, even though we had not had a chance to even look at the menu. We did place our order and it seemed to take a little bit of time to get the order. I ordered just regular hamburger and french fries. Hamburger was nice and hot, but was so hot that it made the bun soggy and the fries were ice cold as in they had been sitting there for a while. Overall, not that great of an experience and the food wasn't worth the $40 that we paid. Don't waste your time. read more

She took forever to come over and take our order, then when the food came, went back to visiting her coworkers, mostly standing with her back to us and her other table. Next thing, the Chicken Fried Steak, It looked like a pre - packed meal you bought from the grocery store for 3.99 and I can imagine it tasted so. Also, avocado toast, looked like it had guacamole spread where the lightly mashed avocado should have been, but instead, it looked lIke the guacamole spread (hints) you bought in the half dozen plastic containers. Besides those facts though, the quality has gone WAY down, I cannot and will not say you meal will be good. As a KID, I say I have pretty low expectations, but this food just ain't it. Next thing being the service, while the food (in my opinion) was not good, the service was actually pretty good, our waiter was coming back and forth making sure that everyone sitting down was doing ok. The interior was just about as good as anywhere else. I see some potential for this place for what they call themselves, but the sun has not reached the horizon for this particular area. I think this is exactly like home cooking as the restaurant claims, but it was likely made by a fool. Sunview Cafe Anna TX - Beware Their Online Ordering They Will Scam You We placed an order for delivery on their website on 12/16/25. The website accepted the order and sent a confirmation from them that the order was received, accepted, and that my credit card was being charged. The order was then sent by them to Door Dash for delivery. No Dasher was ever assigned and the order was never received. After an hour and a half we called the restaurant to inquire about the situation. We were then tasked with dealing with an extremely rude woman who first stated that they were closed at the time (not true), then said they never received and accepted the order (again not true). When we countered that we had received a confirmation from them she changed the story to we weren't accepting orders at that time (third lie). When we disputed this and again stated that we had received a confirmation and that we were charged for the order she started trying to blame Door Dash. We explained that we did not place the order through Door Dash, we placed it through them directly, and as such they were the responsible party. Rather than just dealing with the situation in a polite and reasonable manner she just continued to argue that they had no culpability in the matter whatsoever. I don't know if the food is any good here, and I never will because they will never again get an order from me for delivery, pickup, or dine in. I don't think that is a problem though because if the food is anything like the service it would be a huge disappointment anyway. read more

I've been here several times for breakfast and have never had a bad meal or experience. The staff are very nice and attentive. The food is very good, at least the food I've had. The restaurant is always very clean. Almost every server I've had has been attentive, happy to provide suggestions from the menu, and always the type of mood that is uplifting and simply starts your day off right. I'm single, I don't have kids but I always order the "For Dad" meal. I hope they don't catch on to my scam. :) It comes with eggs, a meat, and pancakes but I switch to French toast and upgrade to the very berry French toast. Beware this place has poor quality food and not cooked properly. I don't recommend this place. I don't know how and where they got their 4 and 1/2 star ratings the food is not good and not cooked right. Plus both me and my husband were sick after eating there. The one slim female waitress we had was the only nice one, the rest looked mad. I complained because they burnt my Bocado Omelet and it was dry. My husband's Philly Cheese steak Omelet was not that good but edible, and made him sick to his stomach afterwards with diarrhea. The pancakes were dry and tough to cut we couldn't cut them with a fork or knife. They were overdone. Asked for a new batch. The biscuits were very dry and not really biscuits more like dried up English Muffins. My small serving of hash browns were over grilled and loaded with salt. I told the waitress I don't like my hash brown they're too salty I like to salt my own and they were greasy. The manager said we don't salt them we put seasoning salt in them. Haha seasoning salt the orange stuff is worse and loaded with salt and msg. Ok so they made me another omelet and made me another batch of hash browns with no seasoning but they were raw not cooked all the way. I was going to have to cook them again when we got home, but I ended up getting sick from their food afterwards and threw them away. My husband was sick first. We didn't enjoy our breakfast after coming back from a long drive and the place was noisy with loud talking by the Mexican cooks behind the counter. They were chatting loudly the whole time with the waitresses. I wished that had sat us farther away from the kitchen staff and the music was loud. This place has bad cooks and rude waitresses except for one. We won't be back. Attached photos below of my burnt omelet, their no good phony biscuits, and overdone over seasoned hash brown replaced with raw hash browns. Honest review time... I stopped in for lunch this past Sunday. The place was packed but it only took about 5 min to get a table. The menu is quite extensive and I ordered the eggs Benedict with hash brown potatoes The hash browns were really good. Crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. The eggs were poached perfectly Where things fall apart is the hollandaise sauce. It was super grainy, lacked any acid, and was not seasoned at all. For me the sauce in eggs Benny is everything and these were not good. They missed the mark on the coffee as well. It was bitter to the point it tasted burnt. Manager on the phone was very rude when my friend (Bella) asked if they were hiring. A simple yes or no would suffice. we all understand you are busy and but she had called earlier this morning, no one answered, so she thought it was busy. She waited until it was around closing (usually lower customer count) and the manager seemed pissed when picking up the phone. "Ma'am, call during the week" It is wednesday at closing times... Just direct her or anyone to the website or say walk in at --/-- time so we can give you a proper introduction and interview. She also lives within walking distance and has YEARS of good serving and customer service experience. So instead i called for her. asked for the manager. She said she was the manager. So i asked i'm sorry i just need to know if you are hiring and she got upset and raised her tone saying "I told you to call during the week". i looked at my friend in disbelief and the manager hung up. I understand you are busy, but if the management can't even hold themselves together than imagine working there... sad.
