The Best Apple Fritters in town!! Love the friendly staff. The shop is always clean and kept up with and lines move quickly so there is never to long of a wait.. But it is well worth it. Everything is always so fresh!! read more

Over the past year my family and I have LOVED coming here. This morning I took my mom and niece who came from out of town and the lady working the cash register was horribly rude. I was extremely disappointed and I was confused why she seemed annoyed with everything me and my children said. Super disappointing. read more

Solid donut shop, definitely a favorite of mine in the Melissa area. I don't need to go to Buc'ees for their bakery like I used to, this spot has great stuff at fair prices. Just their glazed donut did it for me with a cold brew. I'm probably coming back tomorrow! read more

Stopped by this morning to grab a quick breakfast burrito instead of going to Buc'ees where it's always busy. The burrito was actually really tasty and fresh. It's a cute little spot with that charming red barn outside. Service was fast even though they were busy. Definitely a solid local gem for a quick bite in Melissa. read more

I tried the apple fritter and the kolaches. Apple Fritter: tasty, nice glaze, chunks of apple. Kolaches: nice size, bread a bit thick, sausage ok, not the best in Anna/ Melissa. This place is worth trying. read more

See all

Came in at 1pm, immediately when the cashier saw me she looked at her watch even though the store closes at 2pm. Ordered a dozen large kolaches, half cheese & half jalapeño. I wasn't too impressed with it. She said she put the Jalapeno on the bottom but I didn't see any taste any jalapeño. The kolache bread wasn't fluffy it was hard in that spiral shape. The bread was super hard. If it's the end of the day and the bread is old then simply don't serve it to customers. read more

Great spot to just get that morning snack with a donut. I personally love a donut with my coffee, and this beats Dunkin by a long shot. I like privately owned donut shops instead of the mainstream stuff because it's the real deal. It just hits different, great place, highly recommend. read more

Very friendly staff. Donuts are light not heavy. Drive-through option if you desire that.. clean and spacious ambience. Will be back again.

I always come right before they close for burritos and they are always so nice about making them.

New customer and will definitely be coming back! I just wish they were open all day! My order - Bacon/egg/cheese biscuit, maple donut, chocolate donut, small sausage kolache, large caramel iced coffee, & a bottle of Dr. Pepper for about $15. Definitely fair pricing! Shoutout to the cooks and the sweet/patient cashier! Food was delicious, & hit the spot, especially the eggs. A group of about 10 ladies were having lunch together and all of their meals looked fresh and well made. I can't wait to try the whole menu. read more

We have loved this little shop for many years but their commitment to good service and good affordable food continues to astound me. I was in between meetings and stopped to get a sandwich. I was mistakenly given the incorrect sandwich. When I called to just let them know, not only did they offer me a credit, but when they heard that I had another meeting to attend, they offered to drive it out to me to my home in Melissa as well as being deeply apologetic. I will always continue to support this small business. they are a asset to our community with remarkable grace and integrity that should be admired read more

Consistently great donuts and friendly staff. The letter donuts make such a fun birthday treat!

Our favorite! Love the donuts and all breakfast menu. Lunch menu is great too! Service is the best!

Come every week for donuts. They have good customer service. Nice mom and pop feel to the place. Serve more than donuts.

This food establishment is awesome! 5/5. In a time of so much "fast food" chains, this place is a delight! Super clean, quiet, delicious food & fast. The staff is all, and always so welcoming and kind. In a hurry? Take the drive-through. Otherwise, enjoy the inside atmosphere with a very diverse menu of sandwiches, soups, kids' menu, doughnuts, and more! read more

Fast and great service! The price for donuts is also reasonable! I recommend this place.

I love waking up on Saturday morning and making my way to Sugar Babes Donut Shop for an apple fritter. This apple fritter is ridiculous and should be your reason to drive to Melissa. Yes - their donuts are excellent but you have never had an epiphany until you have taken a first bite out of a warm apple fritter. There is something about about their Apple fritters that brings me back every Saturday morning. Please note, if you want to avoid the crowds of families with children, or baseball teams with their little milks in hand, try to make it here from 7:00 - 8:00 am. There have been times where I show up at a later time and they only had one apple fritter left. Nothing like a warm apple fritter and hot cup of coffee to get you going any day of the week! read more

Sugar Babes is pretty good. Go early if you want variety, but even as the clock approached noon on a Saturday, the doughnuts they did have looked fresh and were pretty tasty. We ended up getting a couple raspberry filled, cream filled, vanilla frosting, and maple frosting (that was basically all they had at the time). As a bonus, and maybe my eyes deceived me, Sugar Babes' doughnuts seem to be larger than average, so that was cool. Outside of doughnuts, you can also get some breakfast/lunch there. We tried their bacon, egg, and cheese biscuits and they were pretty good. Overall, I'd consider going back. The price was a tad higher than other doughnut places, but the quality wasn't lacking. read more

My husband loves this place for donuts and breakfast.... me not so much. They're not bad, just not to my liking. But they're lunch is amazing. I love that they are drive thru for one, and the menu selection is very nice. Had no clue they served regular food. We ordered a soup and sandwich combo with the Big Tex sandwich and the shrimp and corn chowder. We also ordered a chicken salad sandwich and a kids chicken tender meal. Everything was so fresh and delicious! Portions were amazing as well as pricing. My husband even asked are you sure that's the right amount, that seems cheap for the amount we ordered! Very happy with the food! Definitely will be our go to for fast food! read more

Just needed to come on here and send a HUGE shoutout to Sugar Babes Donut Shop & DELI!! I messaged them earlier this week inquiring about gender reveal donuts and Frankie was beyond helpful in making my dream a reality. They were extremely responsive via Facebook messenger, provided me with tons of options and accommodated my every request. They even made these adorable little donuts for my 1.5 year old son! I just wanted to praise them for not only having delicious food but being so AWESOME! Thank you Sugar Babes for helping us share this moment with friends and family If you haven't gone there yet, it's a MUST! #ShopLocal #SupportSmallBusiness read more

What can I say about this little donut shop but its AMAZING! My wife found it on Yelp since it wasn't too far from our house and its almost a weekly staple on Saturday morning. They have a wide variety of donuts as you would expect. And they all delicious. I am a plain and chocolate covered and my wife is a cake donut type of person. What I really like about this place is that they have biscuits and breakfast burritos. And they are all priced right and not even a couple of bucks. They are made fresh each day and will even be warmed up for you. If your in the area I would recommend this little family owned donut shop. They are friendly, will take care of you, provide great service and leave you feeling full and happy. Keep up the great work Sugar Babes! We'll be back. Cheers Justin read more

Nice little place. Good donuts and great kolaches. It's really too bad they don't take Covid-19 seriously. Not one employee behind the counter was wearing a mask. There were at least 5. I thought most businesses that serve food were wearing masks out of respect to their customers and its just the right thing to do. I don't like wearing a mask, but it's not that hard. It's just a mask! Just do it! read more

This is my second time ordering a burger from Sugar Babes and baby let me tell you. It's so damn good. Always fresh. My fries was good. They use real Angus. No frozen patties. They burger even better than Sunview Cafe. The Cook is that deal. Please keep your consistency. Oh I forgot to mention they have the best fresh donuts around. Light and fluffy. This is my go to from now on. read more

Went for the first time today at 9:35am on a Sunday. A lot had already sold out but there was a good selection to choose from. No jelly stuffed or eclair but we ended up with sprinkles, old fashion, cinnamon roll and apple fritter. Everything was delicious and fluffy and melted in our mouths!!! We used to live in Allen and go to Max's but I can say I am very happy to have a new donut shop to go to that's within 5 minutes away. Yum!!! read more
