Finally got to try this gem and so glad we did. The texture of the donuts are unique - soft but thick, and the sweetness of each of them is just right. Overly sugary donuts get old quick, but these were just right! The shop was pretty and loved the variety of donut flavors they offered. There was only one staff in store while I was there, but she was nice in helping us out! We will definitely be back!
Was looking for a sweet treat while in McKinney and I saw this donut shop. It's small, but warm and inviting inside. They have tons of options and even do savory donuts. I got the French toast and 2 strawberry shortcakes. The cashier was friendly and danced to MJ as he prepared my donuts to go. The French toast (no photo) was my favorite of the two. Very soft and maple-y with just the perfect balance of sweetness. Both donut flavors tasted freshly baked and far from stale. The strawberry was light and flaky and not artificial tasting. I would love to try more next time I'm nearby.
Fun donut flavors and a good selection of breakfast sandwiches as well. Enjoyed everything we got. The drinks could use some work, I was not a fan of what we got. They have these mini's that come with dipping sauces that are always a hit when I get them for work.
Lots of people came in expecting donuts but since they're made to order, there's a 30-40 min. wait with every order. If you want to leave and come back when they're ready, they take down your number which is really convenient. The place is really nice with lots of comfy seating for if you want to stay during the wait time. The workers were really helpful with explaining the menu, we got the coconut cream filled, sandy beach, churro, and campfire in addition to one of their holiday drinks. The drink was ok and the donuts looked nice but were a bit too sweet. I think it was overall a nice experience but unless you have a lot of people who can eat them, 1 donut is more than enough for 2 people.

I'd been hearing so many good things about Parlor Doughnuts, so I finally decided to give it a try. When I walked in, the staff greeted me warmly and the interior was nicely decorated, giving off a cozy, inviting vibe. It was about 11:30 a.m. when I arrived, and I noticed there weren't too many doughnuts left on display. I decided to go with the Honey Glazed, Maple Bacon, and Raspberry Pistachio. I had high hopes for the signature layered texture they're known for, but after trying them, I found the doughnuts a bit on the dry side not quite as light and flaky as I expected. Flavor wise, the Honey Glazed was best tasting but overall, the flavors felt a bit muted and leaned overly sweet. It wasn't bad, but it didn't quite live up to the hype for me. I'd give my experience a 3/5 and while it might just have been an off day, I'd be open to trying them again another time to see if it's different.
The cronuts have a great, soft, airy texture like no other Cronut I've had before. They also tasted very fresh and not stale at all unlike a lot of other cronuts. The store was very clean with a cool, retro vibe. Staff were happy to walk us through the menu and explain flavors in a very friendly manner.

OMG! These layered doughnuts are perfect! I've been to this location several times and I am never disappointed. The store is always clean and the decor is very minimal. i had a great experience here, even with coming 15 minutes before close. who i assume was the owner or manager was so polite and explained to us the menu and ready to glaze process, and you can tell he genuinely enjoyed helping us. the menu was much more extensive than i realized, if i came again id definitely come at an earlier time to try all the variety. i ordered the plain jane for myself and it was a great texture and taste. the interior was really nicely decorated and the logos were so memorable! i was seriously thinking of buying a mug as a gift. i unfortunately only see myself coming back again if i'm in the area, but it was a really great visit! i definitely recommend if you're looking for a sweet treat and a coffee in the morning.
When you have had a bad night unable to sleep and you have watched the sun start to rise and you become upset you are up to watch rise BUT then you realize that Parlor opens in 30 minutes and you could be there in 20 and the day is saved!! I had seen the donuts on instagram and really wanted to go try them. I live small batch donuts since you get them at their peak all day. The store is large with lots of room. No one was there as i was the first customer of the day but when they get busy lots of room to queue up!! It is hard to describe the donuts but they are fantastic. They seem to be a folded dough so they were nicely textured and firm but also soft inside but a crispy feel on the outside close to a crois-nut but not the same. I went with churro, double chocolate, lemon curd, strawberry and Cookies and cream. I went for the lemon curd first. The cream topping is lite and fresh and perfectly sweet. The lemon glaze is sweet with good lemon flavor but not tart. It was perfect. Unfortunately my kids got to the rest before i could return for more but they loved them too. If you love donuts you have to try parlor!!
Accidental discovery. I was on my way to drop off some " Real Golden Eggs" to my little guys when I spotted Parlor Donuts. A quick right into the parking lot and I was on the trail of a new sweet spot. When I entered the new space was more than I expected. Modern,well designed and an almost overwhelming choice of " Gourmet" donuts. I sampled the churro and it was very good. I'll be back!

This doughnut shop specializes in layered donuts and savory donuts. I started with their best seller - Maple donut. The icing was generous, the dough was stretchy and I could smell the maple! I also ate the margherita pizza and the crispiness, cheese, cheese, tomato, basil all compliment each other and make a great margherita donut. On top of that, I also tried the blueberry hill - the smell of blueberry wasn't as strong and a little overshadowed by the powdered sugar but nice regardless. Overall, I was impressed. They are far away from Dallas but I hope they expand more! This is my first time visiting this donut shop and it was so cuteeee!! I loved the vibes of this shop so much. Ambiance: There is medium lighting and louder music inside. There are some tables and chairs inside and it's a pretty spacious place. The staff is really nice and accommodating as well. Donuts: All the donuts are pretty sugary as they had a lot of sugar on the outside. My favorite one was the blueberry one and churro. All the donuts have a very fluffy texture and there are plenty options. I really liked the uniqueness of the donut and the fluffy texture!! read more

Donut guy here. I sure do enjoy them. My wife showed me her Insta feed about a Parlor Doughnuts fan post. So we checked it out this Sunday. When we arrived around 9:45, beat the rush. A line appeared that ran out the door after we were served. I spent some time looking up their menu online, trying to figure out what I wanted, and I noticed that a lot of people complain that they're not a lot of details about what is on or in the donut. So the reviews helped me make my decision. Maple Bacon - my fav. There are a lot of maple bacon doughnuts out there, and this one was pretty good. I wish it had a little bit more bacon on top as you can tell by my phone photo it only had four crumbles. Blueberry - was actually my first choice. And while I liked it, I was really expecting it to have actual blueberries inside of it or maybe a blueberry compote inside. Nope. I'm glad I bought the bacon and maple as my back up. Raspberry pistachio - this was my daughters pic and it was pretty good as well. However, I really wanted some thing inside like a raspberry compote. Coconut Cream - (not pictured) this was my wife's choice and she really liked it. I thought it was good. The cream filling, satisfied my craving of having some sort of filling, where the others lacked. The place was super hipster and I love the decor. It's really well done and I can see why it's so popular. These donuts are a croissant based donut and are different than traditional donuts. Are these Fauxnuts? No, but they may miss the mark for more traditionalist looking for a cake style donut. This is a chain. read more

Tried this place the other day while looking for breakfast, and it was delicious! They have a unique "split donut" concept, which is basically like a cut open cronut with stuff in the middle and on top. If someone gave it to me, I'd never have thought it was a "donut" haha. But it's still a really good breakfast pastry? Staff was super friendly and helpful. We came later in the morning so a lot of flavors were gone, but they said we can ask for anything we didn't see and they'd make it. Cute interior as well. I'd go again for sure! read more
Stopped in after seeing this place in a lot of forums. It was a donut like no other. all of their donuts are made to order. We grabbed three donuts to sample a little of everything. The three in order of favorite were strawberry shortcake, churro and last orange creamsicle. The strawberry one was a clear # 1 favorite by all. Our new clinic director stopped by to meet the doctors and other staff, and she brought these along with her. I wouldn't call them doughnuts; they're pastries with flavored toppings. I loved the maple bacon. It combined the sweet and salty, very well. I had a small bite of some others, but at the end of the tastings, I still favored the maple bacon. Some shops that serve maple bacon, don't use quality bacon and the maple is usually lacking. With Parlor, you get the full punch. Overall, I don't think I could eat these often. Once in every blue moon, if that. They are way too sweet and the only thing that makes them pop, are the toppings. The pastry is so thick, you could make two, out of one. I am happy I experienced this wonderful treat, for a party, I may be tempted to purchase these for others to enjoy. read more

These doughnuts use a croissant like dough. This is a really unique twist on the normal doughnut, and I liked how the dough was flaky and crunchy but still soft! I tried the coconut vanilla creme filled one ($4). They only had 2-3 filled options, while the rest of the flavors (8+) were just changing the toppings. They did say you could fill any doughnut, which is something I might do next time! I didn't want only the flavor on the top of the doughnut because I think the flavor to dough ratio is important. I tried a few of the donut holes. They are more like doughnut squares (similar to Taco Cabana's sopapaillas in that they are more dense). I thought theses were okay. The powdered sugar and jelly can be a little oversewed for the size of the donut square. I prefer the larger doughnuts. A beautiful interior! A few tables and couches. The vibes are less for studying and more for hanging out/brunch vibes. Employees were very patient and willing to help. read more

Parlor Doughnuts really should be called "Parlor Pastries" because we didn't get as much of a donut feel as a well-crafted croissant-like pastry. Delicious for sure, but not mentally a "donut." All bases are the same, which means the icing and toppings are the differentiator. And what a difference in the type of icing here vs other donut/pastry shops! The flavors were vibrant - the blueberry was as intense as eating an actual blueberry. The strawberry & cream reminded us of living in England. The double chocolate was a perfect dessert item. I wouldn't come here on the regular for donuts. But I would come here to grab a couple of special choices for a treat! read more
One of my coworkers brought these to work one day for someone's birthday. I enjoyed it and even was able to take one to my husband, and he loved it. He asked me to come back to get some since they're close to my office. I picked these up today. Very good, but you probably won't be able to eat all of it at once. I split mine in two and eat it that way. The inside is decorated with quite nicely, and there is merchandise that can be purchased. They also sell breakfast items from looking at the menu. read more

Second time in two weeks because of the doughnuts! Expected them to be overly sweet, which they weren't at all. Layers were flakey and buttery, flavors were balanced. All the flavors we've tried so far, have loved them! Only tried the mayan mocha iced latte, wasn't overly sugary which I loved since I could taste the espresso. Cute little cafe inside, minimal seating keep in mind in case it's busy. Definitely recommend and will be coming back to try the others read more

It's national donut day so naturally, we had to get some! My husband was up in the McKinney area and I had him pick these up. WOW - they are so lightweight and delicious. My personal favorite was the cookies n cream. You can't go wrong here! If you're looking for gourmet donuts, this is your place! read more
Parlor Doughnuts was not what I was expecting. When we ordered, the staff seemed like they didn't want to be there. After we finished ordering, we hadn't noticed that the restaurant was incredibly dirty. Almost every table had plates, crumbs, and food still on it. We had to find the table with the least amount of stuff on it to clean ourselves before we sat down and on top of that, the trash can was overflowing as well. The coffee was not great, and we ordered two different kinds. The doughnuts here are more like frosted croissants. They are incredibly difficult to eat and flake everywhere. I had to go back for napkins about 5-6 times. It's an experience more akin to eating ribs than to donuts. The only saving grace here were the sandwiches, which were pretty good. read more

When I walked into this "donut shop", I had no idea that it would be so special. Mocha was pretty good, your standard coffee drink, but that was the only thing standard about this place. I love cronuts (croissant donuts) and was excited to see this take on them.
