We all know the doughnuts here are good but can we talk about the coffee? I am use to strong coffee such as Vietnamese coffee or Cuban caffe con leche. Most coffee place I try, the coffee just taste so watered down and bland. But the latte with maple and brown sugar syrup here is goooood. I was afraid the maple would be strong and throw off the coffee but the worker said it wasn't strong. She was right, you can hardly tell there was maple. It wasn't overly sweet and did not have a weird after taste. The coffee wasn't strong either but you can still taste the fragrant coffee. read more

This place is shockingly good. The keto donuts are incredible. Never even heard or seen a keto donut in the wild and it tasted amazing. Reg donuts were good as well similar to a cronut. Reccomend the blueberry glaze. Also the coffee latte was very bold as well. Delicious read more

Tried a few different kinds of their donuts. Wasn't a huge fan of the texture and very sweet. Iced coffee drink wasn't good. The place itself is very cute, but the doughnuts weren't for me. read more

Super cute spot with a chill vibe. I got the maple brown sugar latte which was pretty good and my boyfriend got a caramel and vanilla latte which was pleasantly sweet without being too much. We went around 11:30 on a Sunday so there was a wait for the donuts while they made fresh ones but it was well worth it. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Great experience, we'll definitely be back! read more

The French toast cronut and maple bacon are life changing!!! I've been there once a week just to get a taste ( for months... )... it's a bit of a drive, but worth it! I've never looked at donuts the same, because the flavor has imprinted on my psyche... I'n a great way!!! read more

I am a loyal member to this establishment but I wanted to give extra kudos because this was my go-to place when I was pregnant. I joke that my son was made of parlor donuts and avocado toast. I highly recommend the avocado toast and the breakfast sandwich. For their donuts, I love their carnival line and any of their maple flavors. The quality is top tier and the staff is always so nice. read more

Friend of mine up north took me to their Parlor Doughnuts while I was visiting them. What's another donut place, right? Wrong! The amazing different flavors, the huge size, and the absolute tastiness make these donuts unique. This is the only one closest to where I live and it's 30 minutes each way. Doesn't stop me from coming every so often! Order a few and split each donut with a friend, everyone can try multiple flavors this way. As a side note, love the decor of their stores. I'm a vintage enthusiast and the vintage vibe adds to the aesthetics :-) Treat yourself, you'll be glad you did! read more

I've been to the Oceanside location and was so happy to have it here in TX now! They have gluten free options as well. The coffee wasn't my favorite but the doughnuts were really good, after several bites they do get a little sweet for my tasting. read more

Cutest cafe spot I was not expecting! The display case, tables, and chairs were all stylish and inviting. We had the strawberry shortcake, caramel bliss, and French toast. Hands down French toast was amazingggg. Gooey and soft and flaky! So was the strawberry shortcake, the caramel bliss was just ok in comparison to the other two. Coffee was great and we got egg and bacon sandwich as well it was good. The price was so great especially for the size you get! Definitely coming back! read more

My wife and I were on a quest for donuts this morning and we were disappointed with two other places... So we found this little gem, and we were very happy with our decision. The atmosphere was very elegant and quite. The young women who were serving us were very pleasant and friendly. The donuts were amazing and delicious. read more

Maybe it's just me, but I did not like them. It seems the Doughnut was a bit over cooked, it wasn't soft at all. I've had the type of doughnut before and these were not my fav, again maybe it just me. The customer service was okay at best. read more

Parlor Doughnuts - Turtle cheesecake & Banana cream pie - Donuts Near Me - McKinney, Texas

Doughnuts: 5/5 Drinks: 1/5 Visited for the first time and the staff was really nice and patient while I was deciding which doughnut to order. I tasted the turtle cheesecake as well as the maple pecan. Both were good! They weren't overly sugary like I had thought they'd be. The drinks however... I ordered the iced matcha latter and a vanilla latte. The match latte tasted like watered down milk, and the vanilla latte tasted of burnt espresso beans. I would go back to try other doughnuts, but I will never try the drinks again. read more

This place is legit. Probably a 4.5 out of 5, but Yelp of course won't allow that. Let's start off with my complaint first. Nowhere can you find a description of the donuts, just the name. Not even online. They have a ton of doughnuts, so I don't want to ask 30 times what's all in that. So my suggestion to Parlor is update the website to show descriptions of donuts. Ok rant over I honestly expected these doughnuts to be way too sweat. They are loaded and while I like sweet I don't like mainlining sugar. Surprisingly despite their appearance they aren't overly sweet and just right. These are croissant like donuts, not your standard donut which was a plus to me (see others saying that's a negative). Maple pecan was good. I wished it had more pecan. The French toast was good. No idea what it was since there is no description. The Sandy Beach is also really good despite having no clue what it was. Sausage biscuit is good, but had like a jam and I would prefer it without that. I want to try the bacon and egg doughnut next time. Cold brew is phenomenal. Like some of the best I've ever had. The honey cinnamon cold brew would be good if you like a sweet cold brew. The regular is where it's at though. Honestly it was even better than the doughnuts. I will be here all the time for the cold brew. Oh the dogs enjoyed the dog donut they split although the powder sugary topping made a mess in the car, but they didn't seem to mind. :) read more

I wanted to try a new donut shop for my husbands birthday and this place did not disappoint! It's actually his new favorite "cheat" place! Their donuts are not like your traditional yeast or cake donut. They are considered "layered donuts" and are more like a croissant mixed with a donut and has fluffy layers. It's pretty amazing! Not to mention their many mouth watering flavors can be made into a shake flavor! Vegan? Gluten-Free or Keto? They have options for everyone! They even have the pups covered with dog friendly treats. I really enjoyed their iced Mayan mocha as well! Hit the spot on a hot Texas morning! Highly recommend to try and my family will definitely be back for more! read more

The space is adorable! Love the old time vibe and lots of tables. Staff was very helpful when we arrived. The donuts were tasty but the fillings were poorly added. There were sadly no donuts in the display case, so we had to make selections from the menu and hope for the best. read more

Tasty and unique! Good flavor profiles that match the base dough. Some can be sweet but that's how they should be. Dough is perfect. Love the style. Good job with this concept. read more

Loved these cronuts. These croissants are deliciously flaky and when I bite in to them they have a density of a donut. Flavors were delicious, fresh, and rich. Service was good, and it was great to know they will make any of the croissants fresh if they are not in the case. read more

Y'all these layered doughnuts are the bomb! Do not let the empty cases fool you because they will make them to order, so feel free to order off the menu! My faves were the maple bacon, chocolate chocolate, and peanut butter cup. Absolutely a treat! read more

Where to start! The doughnuts here are absolutely amazing, tons of flavors and the coffee is top tier. I had the caramel/coconut iced latte with oak milk, absolutely delicious. Very friendly/ welcoming staff, true to the area ambiance and decor. Very forward thinking when it pertains to options available (definitely not like this in most areas of TEXAS). Overall I will definitely be making a return on my future travels. read more

This place opened in the summer '23 and is still under the radar. The donuts aren't heavy or overly sweet. They're almost like a kronut (not sure if I spelled that right). They're flakey, light, and tasty above all. I'd recommend a fork and knife as they're quite tall and the flakes do go everywhere. The coffee compliments the donuts well - a light/ medium roast that's unassuming; exactly what you want when you're the backup vocals to the donut frontman. read more

I don't need to go back. It's literally the same base, just with different toppings. I ordered the turtle cheesecake and the raspberry pistachio. I appreciated the different texture from the nuts. One of the doughnuts was under cooked in the inside. Cute shop. Friendly employees. And I'm okay with the price point. Still, no need to go back. read more

These donuts are BOUGIE! I ordered ahead of time for a Christmas party at work and everyone LOVED them and couldn't stop talking about them weeks later. These are the best donuts in the world!!! If you have t been, you must go!!! Here is my story of how I discovered Parlor Donuts. I visited my cousin back home in the Midwest of Indiana, we're both born in Ohio. My cousin told me I needed to try this new doughnut place. I couldn't believe my eyes when I walked in and how I'd never tasted anything so good in my life! Then to find out there coming to all places Texas now. I was thrilled. I've been several times, taken friends, took into my work for a going away party and everyone was blown away! Great donuts! They're large and priced reasonably as well! The coffee was good! I enjoyed my latte because it was smooth and not too sweet. There was plenty of seating and the interior was bright and roomy. The flavors were not super evident in taste but their layered dough had a phenomenal texture and bite. Most of their flavors are they same layered dough base and they just change the drizzle on top. Definitely worth a try and they have fun seasonal flavors that I would come back and check out. read more

Donuts are great but not really donuts. First, the American cowboy theme was amazing. The donuts were pretty picked over when we stopped in, but the staff let us know they could make us anything we wanted. I tried the Orange Cream, WOW! The texture was similar to a croissant. Flakey and delicious. read more

My husband and I are huge foodies, always trying new spots. We honestly stopped getting doughnuts on weekends because they're always pretty disappointing. And I feel like when people do the crazy flavors they always over do it, but THIS PLACE nails it! We went around 1PM on Saturday and they were out of majority of their doughnuts so they were doing them to order, which we were happy about because they were so fresh. We got: Dreamsicle - Maple Pecan - Raspberry Pistachio - Blueberry Hill. Each one was amazing, and the sweetness wasn't overwhelming, and the doughnut was like a croissant. Different donut experience but definitely a great one, very nice place. Not exorbitant prices either.

The regular donuts are like cronuts (croissant & donut) so I actually prefer the gluten free donuts because they have more of a cake donut texture. I love donuts and trying new places. I travel a lot for my work and always seek out new donut places. This was disappointing. These were more croissant than donut. The flavors became lost in the croissant and when you think of donuts this isn't it. It was a decent dessert but I would not consider this to be a donut shop. It's very expense as well compared others in the area. It's an experience but not worth more than one trip. read more
