every trip reminds me why it's worth the drive. My fiancé is gluten-free, and hands down, they make the best gluten-free donuts I've ever tried. Honestly, I prefer them over the regular ones. The rice flour they use gives each donut a perfectly crisp bite - if you're gluten-free, you'll be amazed. You do have to order the gluten free. They don't have them out. You have to ask and they make them then for you. Be patient! Service is always friendly and impressively fast, even when they're busy. Highly recommend checking them out.

Incredible, friendly service. They do a great job with the demand here. We come here for the amazing gluten free donut options; my son absolutely loves it too! My favorite is the tiramisu... yum!!!

OMG - Gluten free donuts!!! The chocolate frosted was decent size, slightly dense, and tasted almost like the real thing. They don't have them pre-made sitting in the case, they make them to order and it's worth the reasonable wait. The staff were friendly and service was excellent. The space is clean and bright. If you are GF, highly recommend this place.

The donuts came out quickly a d were affordably priced. The cookie butter lotus donut I got was amazing and I think had coffee flavored filling. Delicious also not pictured I got a kolache which was great next time getting two of those. This place has been around awhile and always delivers with great service.

Better donuts. Better ingredients. Donut kitchen. These are the best donuts in McKinney, and it's not close. These donuts are made with love and real ingredients that don't make you feel like you need probiotic after even if you eat 4 or 12 like me. Seriously, if you are going to go get donuts this is the place in McKinney. Even if you have to drive 15 minutes out of the way, it's worth it. Each bite makes you speechless.

Today I got a Nutella cronut. A cronut is a cross between a donut and a croissant. The Nutella Cronut was flaky and delicious. The donuts here are unique and unlike donuts from any other donut shop.

They had an amazing selection of fun and colorful donuts along with the usual glazed and caked ones. Service was a little off/stiff but I'm ok with that as long as the donuts hit the spot. I would recommend if ones in the area!

The Donut Kitchen has a wonderful selection of gourmet donuts to suit every taste, as well as basic glazed. We chose the Texas sheet cake and the strawberry shortcake, both were over the top delicious!! We are new to the area and excited to have found this little gem!

Very cute clean shop. I got there early so no long lines. Very nice staff. A nice selection of classic and specialty flavors. Key lime is a blueberry cake doughnut base with a lime glaze and cream cheese frosting, tangy as you would expect key lime to be soft flavorful blueberry cake doughnut. Ordered a minion doughnut because it was just so cute.. soft cake doughnut with a warm fall spice mix.. they place raised doughnut holes in the box to help keep your doughnuts from moving and getting smashed up. Those were my favorite a very soft airy dough! Haven't eaten the last one yet think I will save it for lunch..

Popped in to sort out a sweet craving and I am glad I did. This store is nestled is the rolling hills near Stonebridge Ranch and the Adriatica. I loved blueberry key lime which had berries in it as well as the glaze and berry on top. Red velvet has a great cake texture and cream was light and airy. Finally the strawberry shortcake was to die for!! My wife enjoyed all three and the kids loved their glazed donuts. Price was $13 for 3 gourmet and 2 glazed which is about right. They also have smoothies, boba and breakfast sandwiches. We will be back with the kids to enjoy our donuts next time.

Loved these donuts! It was definitely a unique experience inside and the donuts are delicious.

The menu may look the same, but the quality and preparation of items have changed. For example, the crab cake Benedict used to feature homemade crab cakes, and now it's a fried frozen-style patty. The one-star review is really based on the service experience, and unfortunately it's the reason we won't be returning. While waiting for our table, the manager or possible owner was telling single-party guests there was a 30-minute wait, while parties of three or more were being quoted only 10 minutes. An older woman standing there heard him tell the group in front of her 10 minutes right before he told her 30. The more I thought about it afterward, the more disappointed I was that I didn't speak up in the moment. Treating guests differently based solely on party size is unacceptable and left a very bad impression.

While waiting for our table we wondered up to the 3rd floor. They had live music. The place was jumping up there. We are going to have to look up who is going to be playing and have another married date night. The only downside to the evening was unfortunately the host at the front door. He was rude and severely lacking in communication skills. If anything else had me "meh" I would have taken stars away but everything else made up for his shortcomings.

Once seated we waited nearly an hour for the food, and it arrived with one good plate, and a $55 "Wagyu" which was a small, twisted piece of sinewed, chewy meat with cold, soggy veggies and mash. Sent it back, and my wife was finished by the time the replacement came - which again, was about as 'Wag'yu as a pup's tail. They kindly removed cost of my meal, and we got anniversary desert. Nice building and staff working hard - just set your expectations accordingly.

Kudos to him! Now for the food... it was outstanding. Between us we ordered the tacos, chicken fried steak, and the Nashville hot chicken sandwich. Let's talk about the tacos first. The meat was incredibly tender and flavorful, topped with a tasty lime crema and delicious grilled veggies. The loaded fries were the side of choice with that dish and they were so good--crispy, flavorful, and the ranch was absolutely on point (which is very important, ha!). The chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and green beans was so good that there was literally nothing left on the plate. The steak was crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and the gravy was perfect. The green beans had just a little kick to them which made them fantastic. And the Nashville hot chicken sandwich... wow. It was HUGE (see pic below) and cooked perfectly. The ambiance of the place was also great. It has a welcoming vibe where you can come dressed up for a night out or keep it casual and still feel comfortable. If you're looking for a great dinner spot in downtown McKinney, Sugar Bacon is definitely worth the visit!
