So admittedly, I have not purchased donuts from a donut shop in many, many years. I stopped in yesterday morning just after opening to grab a dozen for my wife and kids. I got a half dozen glazed and a half dozen chocolate covered. I was shocked when the lady at the counter told me that would be $15. But I between inflation, and the fact that I haven't been in over a decade, I guess, that's just what it is now. Stopped looking at other items that I was considering purchasing and paid for my dozen and left. When I told other people about it, they said that didn't sound right. I pulled up their website to try to find the menu, but it does not list dozen pricing. However, a single glazed doughnut is $.70. A chocolate covered doughnut is $.75 each. I'm really confused how I got ripped off for 15 bucks for six glazed and six chocolate covered. I would avoid this place all cost. I definitely will not return. read more

This is the most honest and decent donut shop in Plano. I moved to Plano three years ago, and this shop always made me feel warm and welcomed. I was so inspired by the way they operated that I painted some donut art for them. Since then, more local clients have brought in art and requested it be displayed, which drives more business. This place is like every other Donut place in the area. Morning Donuts has wonderfully sweet and kind Korean owners who greet you in the morning. The shop is big enough so you can come in and eat breakfast - REAL breakfast. It isn't a quick donut shop. You can order meals and coffee. I ordered Donut Holes but I meant to get a dozen glazed Donuts. When I realized the mistake, the lady had already prepared Donut Holes. In the end, she let me have them for free. My total cost with milk, croissant kolaches, and the donuts was around $13. read more

Wow, I've never been to a donut shop where the staff was rude. There are usually two Korean ladies serving donuts but today there was only one and she was so rude. This is my second time going to Morning Donuts with my daughter and both times I felt like this one particular Korean lady was annoyed because we ate inside. This morning was by far the worst experience I have ever had at a donut shop. The lady was not friendly what's so ever. First she stuffed my two donuts and eight donut holes in one small bag and then when she put the bag on the counter the bag fell over and two of the chocolate donut holes rolled out of the bag one of them feel on the floor and the other rolled on the counter she got upset rolled her eyes and only replace one of my donut holes. Then after I had already paid I realize I forgot to say I wanted coffee so I go and tell her that I wanted to purchase a med size coffee that I had cash and she rolled her eyes because I told her I wanted to purchase a cup of coffee I could understand if there was a long line behind me but I was the only one in there. The last thing that really made me mad was my daughter wanted to get a chocolate milk which she had in her hand and I thought I had paid for but I guess she didn't ring it up. My daughter and I sat down to eat our donuts and the lady looks at us while there were customers in line to tell me that I didn't purchase the chocolate milk. That's when I finally told her she was being rude and she needed to work on her customer service and the lady rolled her eyes. After that, I told my daughter we would eat our donuts at home and we got up and left. I'm just so shocked how rude this lady was. I will never go to Morning Donuts again. read more

The ladies at this store are so sweet we would go just to see them, and the donuts taste great. Just make sure you get there early, because by 11am the selection will be really picked over! My kids love the different holiday themed shapes they always make (stars for 4th July and Christmas, bunnies at Easter, hearts for Valentine's Day). I find their glazed chocolate cake donuts to be far better than my old favorites at Dunkin, my favorites are the sour cream/old fashioned donuts, and their apple fritters are perfect, giant with a good crunch on the outside while being soft on the inside and containing small bits of apple throughout. (Plus they sell mini fritters, about as big as a cake donut, maybe 3" diameter, in case you don't want to stuff yourself with a standard size one.) They don't make pre-filled donuts (like boston cream or fruit filled), but as long as they have a hole-less donut (either round or the long eclair shape), they will fill it for you while you watch, with either cream, or raspberry (and sometimes lemon) filling. We enjoy the kolaches as well, but beware, some days the croissant puffs up so much, the hole expands and the sausage can fall out as you're eating it! :) read more

Not only does this place have BY FAR the best donuts in Plano (and anywhere else I have ever been, actually), it also has good prices and is owned by the kindest family. I went there this weekend to get an infusion of sugar after giving blood, but the heat must have gotten to me or something because I fainted while sitting at a table there.
