My latest stop( sixth I think) in a series of one-bite tests. In search of the perfect glazed…read moredonut. Il have to admit, im quickly getting bored with this research! But im going to be patient and push through the pain. This shop is basically a rubber stamp of all the other donut shops in the area. Usual suspects, in the usual display case. I think im looking for a different type of shop as much as the best donut. Although there are differences here and there they all feel similar in the offering. I chose a plain glazed from the case, paid and exited outside for "The Test". I was surprised at the first(here to fore refered to as the Bite) Bite. It jumped up to an 8 on the OBT-O-Meter. However, after a chew and swallow, I sensed a barely perceptible, unguent(oily) finish on the back of my tongue. Initially the first bite was really great and I was disappointed when I had to rate it a... 7 on the 1-10 OBT scale I think Ive got a three way tie at 7 on glazed donuts so,Im thinking when I break that 7 to a higher level that is the winner. It appears 7 is a good garden variety glazed donut served at most shops. I wouldn't hesitate to pick up a dozen for the : Sunday School Boy Scouts PTA Slumber Party Lions club Masonic Hall You get the picture now, go to donut Palace and take a bite!

My mom worked for her for about 2 months or so. All of…read moresudden this week my mom called in and told her she wasn't feeling great and she wouldn't be going in. The lady then proceeded to tell my mom she was fired and to not come back. This week my mom went to pick up her last paycheck for the past two days she had worked. My mom thought this lady was a good boss and friend. She proceeds to give my mom the paycheck of one day working there. My mom told her this wasn't the full paycheck to which the lady then yelled at my mom telling her she was an immigrant and she would call the police if my mom didn't get out. My mom came home crying devastated on what this lady told her. So me as any daughter would do went up there meeting the lady. I told her the paycheck wasn't what it was supposed to be. We had an exchange of words and she then realized she was in the wrong and payed for the missing day she didn't want to pay. This lady acts nice and claims she is good. From working here my mom tried to clean as much as possible as she would notice pests and mold around. Her husband sleeps in the back room. If you are a daughter to immigrants you would not support people like this. This lady was rude and disrespectful but acted like a sheep in wolf's clothing. My mom's last words to this lady is that their business flourishes. If I could give this business a 0 star I would. If she doesn't get her way she claims you're an immigrant and will call the police on you. What a sad and pathetic person you have to be.
