Amazing customer service. Market prices (some places charge way too much per donut). Line moved quickly. And there are the normal variety of donuts. Found this spot via social media. It's definitely a cut above the normal donut shops. The glazed are thick and soft and yummy. The pigs in a blanket were great and flavorful, too. I would certainly put them in top 20 spots for good donuts north of 635. There are better out there for sure, but you're not gonna leave from here unsatisfied. We'll be back! read more

So I came here on a whim, after my donut craving kicked in, and I absolutely LOVED IT! First of all, the customer service was AMAZING! All of the employees were so kind and helpful. Even though there was a pretty long line, they made sure it moved along very quickly! I ordered ONE glazed donut and they threw some extra treats in the bag. Such a sweet surprise! All of the donuts were so soft, fluffy, light, airy, and delicious! I also ordered one small jalapeno kolache, and large, regular kolache. They were fantastic as well! The last stop I made in LA before relocating was the donut shop my family had been coming to for decades. I mean DECADES!!! I'm a Mom and Pop donut shop girl through and through, I grew up on them. I obviously had one, and later that evening made it a mission of mine to find exactly where these scrumptious little delights originated from. It didn't take long! I'm female you know that means I double as a detective ;) a few key strokes in Google later and I had them! Sunny Donuts on Coit. I knew I'd be paying them a visit Sunday morning. I arrived to a steady bustling donut shop. Everyone was so friendly and donuts were plentiful. I didn't waste any time asking if they had the mini cinnamon rolls and confirming my previous nights research. Bingo! I was correct. The mini cinnamon rolls are a specialty of theirs. We arrived shortly after opening so sadly the entire menu was not available, but what we got was SPECTACULAR! We got 4 kolaches, 3 glazed donuts, and a blueberry cake donut. Everything was so fresh and so amazing. The glazed donut is super light, similar to Krispy Kreme but obviously way better. The owners are also very sweet! The woman who rang us up gave us a cholocate iced donut on the house! Great service, even better food. We are definitely coming back to try out more of what they offer! read more

What a surprise treat I had! A friend dropped by with a bag of goodies from Sunny's. OMGosh, doughnut holes, a Long John thickly covered in lots of chocolate and the most enormous cinnamon roll I've ever seen! I do love most any variety from a doughnut shop; Sunny's obviously delivers some of the best I've ever had. As a first time recipient of these delightful tasty morsels, I'm extremely impressed! The doughnut holes were light, fluffy and a perfect bite size treat. Yum, ate 3 of those in quick succession, along with a few bites of the CR; see below! That (again, enormous) cinnamon roll was truly, literally the best I've ever had. I've found some CR's can be dry, but not this one; not only was it moist all the way through, it was covered edge to edge in the most delicious glaze I've ever enjoyed. I'll be finishing that monster roll over a day or two. Haven't tried the Long John yet, popped it in the freezer for future calorie cheats, but bet it will score high on the scrumptious scale when I do. Sunny's is outstanding; wish there was a location near my world; well, maybe it's a good thing they're not for obvious reasons. read more

I actually bumped into this donut place by accident as I came here to get my boys hair cut next door. But I'm always intrigued to try new donut places whenever I can. When I looked up some reviews they were all very promising and the pictures of their donut selections just made me want to try some. I came in here at 10am and almost everything was sold out! There were literally only some glazed donuts that you can fill with either Bavarian cream or raspberry jam, 1 caramel glazed donut and apple fritters left. Thankfully they also had plenty of kolaches which we all love to eat. Even though we weren't able to try their full selection. We still loved our kolaches and donuts. So soft, moist and not too overly sweet or greasy. Perfect combo! Too bad we live too far to come for a quick morning donut run! But the next time my boys need a hair cut I'll try to come earlier to grab some of their delicious donuts! 5 stars all the way!!! read more
