We came to Stacy's Donuts because we were craving donuts and they were on Too Good To Go. They gave us a giant box of donuts, but what blew us away was how light and fluffy they are! The glazed are comparable if not better than Krispy Kreme. The next day we took our friends here and we took respite from the rain with some coffee and donuts. Wow just wow. I went in because I had pre purchased a "TooGoodToGo" box. I was like 10 minutes late (completely my fault as dealing with a toddler early in the morning can be a bit challenging). They went above and beyond customer service wise and exceeded my expectations. That whole box for only $4.99!? Like where do they do that at!? Lol here at Stacy Donut in McKinney. They even gave me a special rainbow donut for my daughter which they said they don't normally do. I did purchase close to $10 worth of extra items as the "TooGoodToGo" promo only includes donuts. Husband and I are new to the area and wanted to find a staple donut shop - and Stacy Donut was just around the corner. It was a big surprise to find out that Stacy Donut is a Japanese owned donut shop - because that meant there's a high chance the level of sweetness will be up to par to my Asian sweet tastes (LOL). The matcha bomb was DELICIOUS and just the perfect amount of sweetness to taste with the bitterness of matcha. I tried the mini cronut because I didn't want to commit to the big one and OMG - the flakiness?? PERFECTION. I'll definitely go for the bigger one next time. My husband also said the strawberry cream donut was excellent and the strawberries tasted fresh. In conclusion, the donuts were delicious, not overly sweet, and UNIQUE! The service was also amazing and super friendly, we felt welcomed and they were quick! A plus was that the donuts displayed were organized, even down to the donut holes - which most donut shops usually just throw into a huge mountain pile. Hiro's donuts are magical! The matcha bomb donut is so so good and the Cronuts are consistently crispy and flaky. I'm very impressed with this shop and by far my favorite place to go for donuts. I had some donuts delivered by GrubHub from this location. Everything with GrubHub's service was fine; this review is only for Stacy Donut. I had an eclair with chocolate frosting. It tasted like it might have been 2 or 3 days old. The bread tasted stale and the filling had a bad flavor. I tried a bite of the chocolate old fashioned donut, and it was a bit fresher, but not by much. My husband said his cinnamon roll tasted stale, and my daughter only ate a couple of bites of her sprinkle donut. She said it was like there was shortening coating her mouth after she took a bite of it. There are so many donut shops around, for them to taste this bad is unacceptable. Do not come here. This could be the worst donut shop in Dallas. I ordered glazed and chocolate donut holes that tasted of old, burnt grease. You could literally squeeze the oil out of the donuts. What didn't help was the fact that the exteriors were crunchy and had the texture of stale dough. Their food is only suitable for the trash. read more

Nearly every Sunday we come and see Miss Grace for some delicious donuts. She is so sweet and polite, and the donuts are always fresh and delicious! My personal favorite is the strawberry frosted donut and the big kolaches with jalapeno and cheese in a croissant are so good.
