This is easily my new favorite donut shop! I have been stopping by almost every Sunday morning and the lady who works the front is so cheerful and kind. The croissant kolaches are to DIE for. They're super soft and the sausage is nice and juicy. The donuts are perfectly soft and you can tell they're freshly made. I don't think i'll be getting donut from anywhere else! read more

After more tries, I have an update/notes for myself: - yeast donuts are on the dry side - donuts could use more icing imo (twist, bars) - don't get the maple bar by itself! it's too dry/not enough icing to eat alone - should get it stuffed The owners are nice and the shop is really for pick up only. Not a whole lot of selection if you're going at 10AM. This place is good if you don't like your donuts that sweet, but if you want sweeter and more topped donuts, then you better go elsewhere. read more

This is the only donut place I like and will buy donuts and kolaches from. we've been coming here for 15+ years ever since I was a little girl and it is still just as good as ever. chain donut shops do not even come CLOSE to how good these donuts are. they're so soft and fluffy, unlike the cakey hard texture that American chains have. my husband loves their Jalapeño Kolaches and custard filled donuts. family owned shop by the sweetest lady named Saemi (idk how to spell her name but pronounced "Same-Me") I don't live in Plano anymore but I always make sure to stop by here at LEAST once every time I visit. I love this place so much and hope others will try it too. but whatever you decide to try, every item in this shop will be delicious. read more

Hands-down the best donuts and sausage kolaches in Plano! We've been enjoying Donut 6 years and wish I knew about this place when I lived in Carrollton -- I would've driven to get them-that's for sure!! I LOVE "LOVERS DONUT"!! I stop here every Sunday morning for a kolache. My favorite is the spicy hot kolache; the large one. Every bite is flavorful, moist, with a kick. They will microwave it for you so it's nice and hot. I've been to other donut joints, but LOVERS has the best kolaches. The donuts are good too but I'm a kolache type of guy. :) read more

I definitely can say that this place is a go-to for your early morning grub. I can't say there is anything outstanding about the place but it has kind people and good food. the location happens to be convenient to where i live also. I definitely recommend the Croissant Kolaches that run under $1/ea - they taste soo good! granted, it gets warmed up in a microwave but nevertheless it's still delicious. OMG THIS PLACE IS SO CUTE. The couple that owns it is really cute and friendly, and the donuts are way fresher and cheaper than the Dunkin' Donuts down the street. The apple fritters are the best ones I've ever had (and they're like the size of my face), the kolaches (that they heat up for you) are perfect, and the jelly filled donuts are amazingly good too. I was craving donuts one Saturday morning. I have been to a few other places in the metroplex but haven't found a place I am in love with yet. Donut Lovers is noteworthy but I am still on the prowl. The donuts were reasonably priced and I liked that they had a nifty machine that could put cream or jelly in any donut. The actual name of the shop is called Lovers Donuts rather than Donut Lovers. The location as marked in maps is also incorrect. It is not on the actual corner of Coit & Parker. I honestly wasn't very impressed with these donuts. I had an apple fritter that was overdone and very dry. It was difficult to pull apart. I also got a dozen donut holes (half glazed, half chocolate sprinkle). The chocolate sprinkle ones were dry and tasted like old oil. The glazed ones were just dry. Maybe it is because I went on a random weekday at 9am? Maybe the donuts are only fresh on the weekends? The staff was really nice though. read more

It was alright. I wish I would have tried a kolache apparently that is what you need to order there. I ordered standard donuts and I was underwhelmed. The sprinkles on the fancy donuts were extremely hard. The donuts left an oily aftertaste that did not lessen with time. The variety is really limited and although I live one minute from the shop I would not likely return. read more
