Breakfast burrito and hashbrowns

The perfect breakfast spot! The food was cooked with love! My wife got the 4 x 2 which is eggs, sausage, bacon, and pancakes. The eggs were so fluffy and good-looking with a great taste. The bacon was cooked to perfection with a nice crisp to it. The pancakes lacked the crunchy edges we prefer, but were still good. She even raved about the coffee. I got the break burrito which was stuffed with cheese, egg, and sausage. (Chef's kiss) Magnificently done. And my side of hashbrowns were crunchy and delightful. Fatima was a very attentive server despite it getting busy at one point. It's a very clean place with a calming atmosphere. My wife said that it was the best breakfast she's ever had. Good enough that she wants to break tradition of never eating somewhere twice while on vacation. She wants to go back tomorrow. Lol!

Came here on a very busy Sunday afternoon. The service wasn't that great. There was one table opened that was only semi clean that they tried to sit us at. We opted to wait for a different booth that would be cleaned fully before we sat down. There was an extensive menu but we didn't see any mimosas, bloody Marys, or any brunch drinks on their menu. It took a while for the food to come out and it wasn't that memorable. I am not sure if I will be back to this place. I am not sure if it was just a bad day or if this is their normal way of operating.

Modern Diner, I got a table fairly easy on a sunday. Our server was FANTASTIC. She had great energy severing everyone! Food is standard diner food with diner prices but in a nice and clean area. Blueberry Pancakes are pretty but nothing fantastic for me. Normal Pancakes were great. Fresh Orange juice is great. Chicken Fried Steak and mashed potatoes are bland. Not a place I would personally go back to. But if you just want standard eggs and pancakes, its great.

How many times do you wish a breakfast spot would ask how you want certain items prepared, like poached eggs, toast , bacon or hash browns. This attention to detail was awesome as Isabella made sure my eggs were to my liking (poached soft), my bacon was crispy and my daughter's hash browns were also crispy. Said daughter just moved nearby, so I'm sure we will be back! Cute and airy space with a little coffee bar at the front right. Peppermint lattes with oatmilk were wonderful on a chilly day. Food was amazing and service overall was also great, especially given it was a quiet weekday about 30 mins before closing.

We saw this spot earlier in the week and put it on the list to try since breakfast is awesome. Upon walking in we were immediately greeted in a very friendly manner. The restaurant was recently renovated for their opening so was nice and clean. Their menu is right in line with all the breakfast cafes in town and have all the favorites and they close early like all the other cafes as well. I went with the For Dad breakfast and upgraded to Strawberry pancakes. The strawberries were nice and fresh and i love whip cream so a good choice for me. A very solid choice for breakfast.

I had Father's Day breakfast here. The place was very clean and organized well. The staff were really nice, checking on you regularly. They even offered a coffee to go! I had the Mediterranean Omelet with fruit and sour dough toast. Everything was delicious filling you up without feeling stuffed. If you are in the vicinity in the morning take a chance and get breakfast here, I know you will be glad you did!

The hills blueberry speciality pancakes as a side. Bacon was crisp to perfection if you like crispy bacon.

The hills Blueberry Pancakes as a side and bacon were perfect! My boyfriend like the Chicken fried steak and eggs too.

I wanted to drop in while it was still "new" and I was very happy I did. A little birdie told me that I should expect the same menu/interior as Starwood Cafe. Sorry, I've never been there but I enjoyed my experience here. Alex was my host and he never kept my daughter and I waiting. As far as "waiting" goes they did have a 5-10 minute wait for their guests who were waiting to be seated. No lounging outdoors for your wait. It wasn't a long wait so we didn't find it a problem today. They also only have one restroom stall for women and one restroom stall for men. I could tell from the other guests' smiles that they were also enjoying themselves. This establishment could easily seat 35-40 guests at its peak time. There's one seating area in the far back for a huge party of 8-10. No worries, tables can easily be placed together to accommodate larger parties. Hills Cafe-Austin Ranch serves breakfast, brunch, lunch and smoothies that are all so surprisingly, reasonably priced. You get a lot for what you pay in 2022! Ample staff, nice smiles, clean tables, clean floors, clean restrooms, and CLEAN WRAPPED UTENSILS!!! First our waiter kept getting distracted by waitresses and took forever to come back to us even just for simple drink orders. Forget about ordering food. Since we were in happy hour we ordered a ton of apps, so disappointing. The food was nowhere near the caliber ridiculous cost. The crab tasted old and like drinking ocean water, the ribs were dry and the shrimp app came with 9 small/ med shrimp for $20. My martini was okay the first round and then the bartender kept adding soda water for the next two. $20 smoked martini was smoked for literally 5 seconds. Then we get our check, which is completely wrong and over charged so if you don't heed the warning, check your ticket. And then to top of the extremely slow service and mediocre overpriced food, the night ended at 7:10 when the evening hostess came over and loudly announced we were only able to be seated because we promised to leave by 7. One of the most unprofessional and inaccurate interactions I've had. Don't bother. Don't go. Unless of course you enjoy disappointment at a deep cost.

Our server was fantastic, she was attentive, quick and gave us suggestions. We absolutely love it when the staff gives recommendations at ANY restaurant! I think they should all be taught to ask the patrons if they would like any suggestions, with indecisive people like my wife it really helps! Our server recommended joining their app club thing so we also got a free app outta that! The restaurant is huge too, it has plenty of seating which we walked right in and were seated right away. Noise level is very low too, I liked that very much. I'm very surprised reading and seeing the photos of the folks that are giving this place bad reviews. It seems to be every one has one thing in common, from what I'm picking up. They are all using take out service. I just don't think you can judge any place for food if you aren't eating it there. It's like ordering McDonalds and taking it home 15 minutes away and then blaming them for the food to be cold. Food changes after it's prepared. I'm not saying they aren't pointing out the obvious cooking flaws but geez... Anyway, from someone who eats out a lot and cooks very well I would suggest giving them a shot if you have never been there. Just maybe don't do take out for your first visit?

Warm wood tones, beautiful lighting, and that perfect upscale-yet-cozy feel make the whole place feel special. The location is ideal too -- easy to get to and surrounded by that lively Shops at Legacy energy without any of the chaos. But the food? Next level. The elk tacos were straight-up fantastic -- perfectly seasoned, tender elk, fresh toppings, and just the right amount of heat. I could have eaten a second order without hesitation. Then came the chicken fried steak, and it did not disappoint. Crispy, golden crust, juicy and flavorful meat, and that classic creamy gravy that tastes like it was made with love. Every bite was pure comfort food elevated. Everything about the experience felt thoughtful and elevated, yet still warm and welcoming. If you're in Plano and want a restaurant that nails both the food and the atmosphere, Haywire is it. I'm already planning my next visit. Hands-down 10/10. It's got that Texas feel to it, but cleaned up a bit. Comfortable, but still a little polished. The food was really solid across the board. You know how brunch can sometimes just be... fine? This wasn't that. Everything tasted like someone actually cared about it. Good seasoning, cooked right, and just enough creativity without overdoing it. It still felt like brunch, just done properly. Drinks were great too. Not over-the-top, just well-made and easy to enjoy. Definitely the kind of place where one turns into two without much convincing. Service was smooth--friendly, attentive, but relaxed. Nobody hovering, nobody rushing you out. Just a good flow to the whole meal. We ended up sitting there longer than we planned, just hanging out and enjoying it, which probably says the most. If you're in Frisco and want a brunch spot that actually feels worth going to, Haywire's a safe bet.

Wow, I am impressed! Wife and I were at a restaurant next…read moredoor that she found online and wanted to try, however, that restaurant only had a brunch menu being served until 3pm on weekends. Since we were not in a bunch mood and they won't allow any other items to be served we started looking at other locations near us and we found Walk-On's. She said she was looking online for new places and she said it wasn't shown on Yelp. Who knows why, there are so many great places that get overlooked because of paid advertisement I guess. I found them on Google Maps. Anyway, every picture I saw looked amazing so we headed over and I am so glad we did! First, it's a big place and so many TV's playing all kinds of sports, I loved it! But, what is important is the food right? Amazing! We had the Ragin' Redfish and Catfish Orleans. Both were absolutely perfectly cooked and tasted as good as they looked! We are so excited to go back to try so many other items that we had a hard time to choose between! Our service was excellent too, everyone was very helpful, enjoyable and quick. Our experience was made even more pleasant because of the service from Jhayla M. she was on point I say! She stayed on top of the drinks and was so polite. We also had help and suggestions by a man that we didn't get his name but I think he might have been the manager on duty. He was very helpful and made great suggestions to help my indecisive wife choose a dish as well which we appreciated. Long review to just tell you to go check it out, you won't be disappointed!
