This is such a cute spot and feels like you're stepping into the past! It is decently priced and the food was delicious! I had the biscuits and gravy and omg, those biscuits are to die for! They're so fluffy! I also had the country fried steak and loved that it was actually crunchy and not that fluffy batter. I went there with my family and tried a little of everything and liked it all such as the waffles, home fries and coffee. I'm an iced coffee girl so my waitress offered to make one for me since it is not on the menu which I thought was really sweet of her. I recently visited for the first time after many years. It was very good & even more reasonable in price. I went during lunch on a Friday and didn't have a wait. The server was nice & prompt but could've been a little more knowledgeable about the menu/what food was like. The food was delicious. I got the veggies platter. So many great options to choose from & I loved what I got. I was stuffed! My mom loved her omelette too. It definitely won't be so long between visits. But let's talk about that Omlette that was made to perfection. I ordered the Veggie Omlette and added Bacon & Sausage. Super delicious is all I have to say. These biscuits are the BEST!! Seriously, they're the size of your head and so light and airy. We decided to eat here after not going to a newer more "popular" brunch spot and I'm glad we chose to be here. We went here for the Tuesday special fried chicken. Really disappointed because the chicken came out as if it had been cooked sometime ago. It lacked depth of flavor and wasn't crispy and hot. I went here about a week ago for breakfast with my dad. The lady that served us was very sweet and made conversation which I find very welcoming. The overall vibe of the place was very cool and retro with the decorations. The only complaints I have, however, regards some of the food and the prices. I ordered the waffle with strawberries and whipped cream and the presentation was so cute and the flavors went very well together, overall a 5/5 breakfast. I also ordered these sausage patties because our server asked if I wanted some to go with my meal, not knowing they would charge us 4.50 for them. These were definitely not worth 4$, and I would not recommend them as they were too greasy and almost tasted like dog food in a way. French toast deliciousness, ask for the butter pats. Skip the whipped margarine. Homemade ranch, none of that bottled junk. Thousand Island dressing is really good has a tiny little kick. The Hostess/ Cashier with long braids was not friendly. She took us to our table, slapped down the menus, spun around and left. I said, "Thank You" but no response. She was quite rude at the register check out line as well, would not make eye contact and seemed very annoyed. She finally acknowledged our presence after saying "Thank You" twice. Truly horrible customer service! The waitress also had a bit of an attitude and seemed bothered with our presence including a simple request for a straw, (many were in her apron.) I grew up in the restaurant business and waited tables for many years. I always try to treat everyone with kindness and respect. This restaurant is in serious need of employee training! Please hire people that actually want to work here and don't treat people badly. My food was good however my friend could not eat her chicken and dumplings as it was bland and did not taste good.
