When I walked in, I noticed all the obviously fake plants. That should have been a clue to the quality of this place. The water was tap water, and it didn't taste good. I got the Carnitas skillet with biscuits as a side. Nothing was seasoned. The pork shoulder and eggs were good. The potato was very potato-y and unseasoned. They were not crispy at all. I think they would have been better as hash browns instead of big potato chunks. The biscuits tasted bad; they reminded me of school cafeteria biscuits. I got over easy eggs, and they put the eggs on my side plate with the biscuit instead of my carnitas skillet. I wanted to eat it over the skillet so the egg would drip over it, so I had to physically move the egg myself. Most brunch places put the egg in the skillet, so I thought it was weird that this place doesn't. My sister got bacon, and her bacon tasted more like beef jerky than bacon. It was very straight, and not curled or crispy at all. Most restaurants can't mess up bacon, but this one somehow did. The decor was nice despite the fake looking plants. The big windows brought in a lot of light and the colors were nice. Service was good as well. I would not come back again because the food didn't taste good. read more

Good food, good service, good location. A few hiccups but nothing to get upset over. They did serve us some old chocolate chips but it wasn't too bad. Food came out really fast. The chilaquiles and fajita omelette were exceptionally good. The pancake wasn't anything to take note of which was a little disappointing for a breakfast/brunch place. This weekend was my first time at Barney's Cafe, and I enjoyed having brunch here! It was busy when I went but the inside and seating was very comfortable. I ordered the Barney's Oh-Melet which comes with your choice of two sides. My two sides were fruits and pancakes: the fruits were fresh and the pancake was warm and fluffy! It came with scrambled cheese, hash browns and turkey bacon, which were good but not great. A little overly salty and the bacon a bit undercooked- but that's a preference. It is typical brunch Cafe. The service is the same, nothing out of the ordinary or over the top, but pretty good. One thing I will compliment them on is they keep the place spotlessly clean! Went here for breakfast cause I wanted to try this place for so longg.. I saw it everyday while I drove to work and knew I had to give it a try! Ordered gyro omelette with potatoes and biscuits! The omelette tasted amazing! The lamb meat was so flavorful we absolutely loved it! Also, to satisfy our sweet tooth, we ordered our usual banana, strawberries, and nutella french toast which was also amazing! The only reason for 4 stars is cause our server was not very good.. she never asked us for sides when we ordered and gave a super vague reason that a lot of people don't order sides so I don't ask them unless they actually tell me.. I have never heard this reason from anyone! Also, they only refilled our coffee once! Stopped in for lunch on a Tuesday with a friend/business colleague and quickly remembered why I liked this cafe so much the first time I visited earlier this year. They have a great variety of menu selections, the space is clean and bright, and service is very good. Had some free time this morning, so I decided to give this place a try. They weren't busy, so I got sat right away. I ordered bisquits and gravy with scrambled eggs. I also got OJ, and you could tell that it was fresh squeezed. The bisquits were moist, and the gravy had nice chunks of sausage. They put something on the eggs to give them a nice flavor. I will say their chef made the most perfect sunny side up eggs I've ever gotten outside, perfectly cooked!! Sausage was a patty that seemed quite dry, wasn't particularly great. Pancakes the flavor was good but they were slightly underdone. Reason it's a 4 is because the flavors were fantastic! My wife's biscuit was phenomenal, some of the best we've had. But her omelette lacked meat and cheese, was slightly overdone and too onion forward. It wasn't supposed to be an onion omelette!! Overall a solid breakfast spot, will try again. read more

I got the sweet tooth combo it was huge but the eggs were lacking in season. I wish I had ordered some salsa on the side. They serve a great corned beef hash breakfast bowl. I didn't get a picture but it was pretty tasty. Their biscuits were fluffy. We sat with a large party of 12 and they were very patient with the group. You must all be present to sit. The corned beef hash bowl is a favorite. I highly recommend that dish! Sadly they don't take reservations but the wait was only about 30 minutes at 11 am on a Sunday. We waited for our table and we're really ready for some mimosas. Unfortunately it came out looking like straight orange juice. We tried it and tasted like orange juice to me. We could see a couple bubbles in the bottle so asked if this was there mimosas or orange juice. Our waitress seemed a bit confused when we asked. She stated it was mimosa. We then asked for just a pitcher of champagne and used the pitcher of the orange juice (or their mimosa lol) for the drinks. We then saw another couple who had done the same thing. So I recommend just getting a cup of juice you want and then a pitcher of champagne. Despite the situation With the drinks the food was delicious. We got various things on the menu including the brunch burrito, meat bowl, chicken and waffles, avocado omelette and a quesadilla. All of our meals tasted exceptional!! the food came out in a timely manner as well. Server was asking for our drink order before we could even sit down-another bad sign. Brought our drinks and then NEVER came back. Getting frustrated and had to ask someone if anyone was going to take our order. Again, it seemed like everyone was either cleaning up or just chatting with each other. Checked hours again on Yelp. Nope, still an hour and a half away from closing. Food was just okay. Sunday Brunch and we were seated right away, there was no wait time. I appreciated that bc I was starving. However the food over all was poor. There was no true flavors not even with the pancakes. Shrimp and grits were just ok. Shrimp was frozen shrimp and did not have any flavor. I didn't eat the shrimp at all just ate around them. The pancakes were not even good. They were a little under cook and just tasted boring nothing to brag about and honestly did not enjoy them. I was so hungry I ate for fuel only but not taste. The best thing was the coffee and they never offered us a refill. I don't recommend this spot unless you like your food bland without seasoning. The best thing was we got seated right away which is hard to get on a Sunday. Most spots are 60 min wait time. The food here lack flavor, lack salt, lack excitement. The food was boring and so while eating I felt bored. Food is supposed to be exciting and make you feel good but the food here was just fuel for the day nothing more. My friend suggested this place on our way out of town, she had been to the other location and enjoyed it. I ordered the Bacado omelette with pancakes and hash browns as the side. The omelette was huge, and tasted great. The hash browns were perfect and the pancakes had a nice flavor to them. The waiter was very nice, even after my friend gave him a difficult time because she wanted something the other location has that this one doesn't.
