I'd highly recommend doing a wine flight--it's only $20 and a great way to try a variety of their wines. I tend to prefer sweeter wines, and the Silver Comet was my favorite by far. The Grande Finale was also really good and worth trying. They also had wine slushies, which were a nice touch--flavors included lime Rita, red sangria, and peach, perfect if you want something refreshing. This is the second time that we have been to Firelight Vineyards for Bubbles and Brunch on Sunday. Our waiter, (both times) Jesus, was outstanding!!! His polite and professional manner adds quality to the entire experience. He takes time to explain all aspects of one's meal experience and more. Since we were there for brunch, there is a "limited" menu....but, all of the brunch menu is delicious! The chef even came out to check on us and it was easy to give her praise! The ambiance is inviting and emotes an "Italian vineyard"-like vibe. One can easily get swept away by the gorgeous decor! We missed the live music that accompanied our first brunch. But, we will continue to keep this great restaurant as part of our upcoming Sunday routines! read more

We visited for tasting flights as part of the North Texas Wine Trail. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. There is lots of seating with a bar, several rooms inside and covered patios. Free street parking nearby. The building faces the little town square park. The ambiance was relaxed with many signs in French and French music playing. They do their tasting flights on a tree, which is fun. There are also frozen wine options. This would be a great place to come with your girls group! read more

My dear friend and I went to a "True Crime" event at Firelight Vineyards. We enjoyed some amazing wine, a cheese board and their Tuscan Pizza which was all outstanding. The event itself was educational , fun and interactive with other guests as we worked to proile a serial killer. The restaurant is beautiul and comfortable and the staff is so friendly and you can tell loves working there. Next time we go we want to enjoy wine on their outdoor patio that has a lovely fountain and it's just lovely! I highly recommend! read more

Nice ambiance but that's about it. Service was terrible slow although there were few patrons in the winery and they had at least 4 staff. Decided to eat outside in the back, waited and waited forever for a flatbread. Had 2 Coke and was charged for both, so no refill here. Had ask when placing my order for a to-go box but did not come. Missing also no silver and napkins. Will not recommend to friends. Bartender was also rude and gave me a bs excuse why I could not have a cork or two. read more

Wines were very disappointing. They are serving wines that were on the vine a year ago and unfortunately it shows. The only wine I could finish at the tasting was the reserve cab. Server needs more education on the wine making process. We were so disappointed that we didn't stay for dinner and music. read more

My dad found this vineyard restaurant by mistake and was very insistent my mom and I join him for a visit. Easily the best mistake he's ever been guilty of committing. The service was kind and informative, and our bartender Mac was incredibly knowledgeable on the wine menu and gave us great recommendations. The restaurant/bar has a refreshing atmosphere and the spinach dip, garlic knots, flatbread margarita pizza, and chicken poblano soup were all INCREDIBLY delicious. Firelight Vineyard is easily an hour and a half away from our home but we are more than happy to make the drive for the service, food and delicious wine. We enjoyed the Silver Comet Rose and the Glitter Sparkling off dry wine but I'm positive their entire wine selection is phenomenal. Can't wait to return soon! read more

Visited Firelight Vineyards for the first time and was not disappointed! We were met at the door by a very pleasant hostess and given a table near the bar. We could hear the live music (which was very good!) from another portion of the building and still carry on a conversation. Our server was very helpful in giving us "the lay of the land" and took great care of us. We opted for the five-glass sampler and WOW what a stunner of a display! All of the wines we sampled were unique and so very flavorful! I'm not much of a white wine fan, but the Viognier could definitely change my ways. The Merlot was also a favorite. We shared the antipasto board and the bruschetta. The board was a tad underwhelming but forgivable because the bruschetta more than made up for it!! The bread was both crispy and soft unlike the cement-like baguettes most places serve. The tomato topping is out of this world good! Long review short, lovely and quaint atmosphere, amazing wine, bruschetta that'll make you want to slap your Italian grandma - we thoroughly enjoyed our first visit and will definitely be back. read more

What a great evening! We stopped in for a glass of wine and really had a great time. First, the wines are first rate with absolutely the right nose, mouth feel, and flavors. Absent were the chemical smells and tastes that frequent so many boutique winery products. Please give me some thumbs-up if you like my reviews! Here are some of our great discoveries: 1. The staff was engaging and friendly. They understand the products and let the guests make their decisions without pressure. 2. The facility is small with bar, tasting room, and canopied and heated patio. They are in the process of growing the space- I look forward to seeing the results. 3. The regular patrons are as much fun as the place! Everyone came in with a smile and left with a smile. 4. The flexibility was super, many locals dropped in, purchased a bottle, and took to enjoy with dinner at the pizzeria on the same block. 5. Did I mention the wines? Both reds and whites are great, but serendipitously, their frozen Sangrias are worth a trip from Houston or Denver. It's true. 6. They are pet friendly. 7. Gender neutral restrooms. 8. Meat and cheese trays are available to tide you over until the next meal or clear your palate. 9. They have steep discounts for wine club members. We are members now. There is more, all positives. I have really tried to like this place, but always feel like something is just off and never leave feeling good about the experience. Made a reservation for the Valentine's dinner at $75 a person. Arrived 10 mins early as requested when I made the reservation and were placed at a table that was obviously thrown together at the last minute. The chairs were folding chairs (not like the dining chairs on every other table), and the table was tiny (we were constantly moving things around on the table to get our drink glasses and plates to fit). We were also sitting almost on top of the musician so we could not talk during dinner it was so loud. The odd thing was that there was an empty table on the other side of us the entire meal. The meal and wine was good, but the entire evening was ruined with the tiny table, folding chairs that were very uncomfortable, and not being able to enjoy each other's company due to sitting right next to the musician (where I do not believe they intended to have a table but happened due to bad planning). With tip and one extra drink that was not included, we spent $200 for an experience that was definitely not worth that amount of money. read more

Loved this small cozy winery in Valley View, TX. Great people serving who knew all the answers about the wines the Bubblies were delightful too. Liked the wines and bought several. Mostly sweet but not overly and just right for Texas heat and sitting and sipping on the patio. They had Sunday brunch but we did not partake. Several regulars came in and they knew them by name and what they normally had. A couple of the wine club members came in too. This is a fun spot and I look forward to return visits. I talked with the owner, who also has her mom and sister n law who runs the shop with her. The dad and husbands work on the building and maintain the vineyards. It would have been nice to have enjoyed this winery however they reserved 3/4 of the small space for the owner to have a private party. They offered us a metal bench outside in the bug infested grass, no thanks! Patrons were not able to enjoy the live music or outside patio. Instead we were asshole to elbow, standing up in their joke of a tasting room. In addition their guests felt entitled and rudely cut ahead of others standing in line for a drink. Their staff was more interested in taking care of the owners (non paying) guests than assisting the people paying to keep the lights on. Not a great idea to tell every paying patron know the owner does not care about them. We were a first time and LAST time guest. Best thing about this place is the pizza place that delivers. Meredith and George hit it out of the park when they created this quaint boutique winery. It is perfection. I esp love the outside seating area where you can frequently catch a little live music. If you haven't already, join their wine club and get on their mailing list. The wine is incredible (esp the Viongier)!!
