The location was really cute in a historic downtown Celina plaza. Loved the local charming ambience . We were greeted right away by the owners doodle. It was very fast and pleasant service by the business owners them selves. They made us feel welcomed and like the way you treat a friend with kindness versus just another customer. We were able to chat and ask the history of their wine and how their business came to be. The wine selections were extremely good. We did a few tasting and bought a bottle for there and to take home. As well loved the detailed charcuterie board and flat bread pizza. It was so delicious. Can't wait to come back and come during the night where they have live music. read more

Do you love good wine? Run, don't walk, to Valley Vines! We visited for tastings as part of the North Texas Wine Trail and we will be back. Every wine we tried was of excellent quality. Most was from either California or Washington state, but we also had two wines from Croatia. The service was excellent (attentive and well-paced) and our server was extremely knowledgeable about wine. She brought me another wine to try based on my comments and it was perfect! The tasting room is cute and clean, right off the square in downtown Celina. There is also a patio area outside where they have a stage for live music. My friend and I went for happy hour. It was so cute and nicely tucked away in downtown Celina. FYI, parking is right across the street if you need. The bartender was incredible. She gave such great pairing advice, and we completed a flight of bubbly with champagne and rosé. I can't speak highly enough of this gem! I had 2 hours to kill in Prosper and decided to go to Celina. Ended up here and I'm so glad I did! The service was impeccable. Doug is an absolute star. He spent so much time telling me about wines, growing seasons and vintages. When he asked about how I liked the tasting I picked I told him I loved 3/4 and just grabbed the one I didn't like and replaced it based on my preferences. I haven't been to Italy or Sonoma but I can confidently say this tasting experience was better than any I've had in Fredericksburg, or any DFW winery around! read more

Went to dinner on Friday evening and really didn't feel like going home yet. My husband and I passed Valley Vines - a wine bar that just opened up in Celina. We peeked through the window and thought it looked pretty nice inside. They've got plenty of wines to choose from and their flights are average in price at $12.00 for 4 tastings. The real deal is that they will apply the price of your tasting to a bottle of wine if you choose to purchase one. We did just that - always looking for a bargain. You can bring your own food as well. When we walked in, we were welcomed immediately. We chose a high top table and were immediately given a couple of menus, a bottle of water, and a quick run down of the three wineries represented at the tasting room. We ended up having a really nice conversation with the guy who served us and enjoyed all four of the red wines that we chose. So much so we lost track of time. They close at 8:00 on Friday's and it was 8:20. No one rushed us, we were even welcomed to stay longer if we liked. The weather was rainy when we visited, however they have a really nice outdoor area to enjoy your wine and visit with friends. It's a really inviting place for people to just relax and hang out. We will definitely be back and recommend any of the Malbec's they have on the menu. Cool place, good people, and great wine! read more

Linda and I have visited Valley Vines now three times and really enjoy it. We spent an afternoon there with a group of friends and have also spent afternoons there with just the two of us , visiting with the owners. The wines are good and we have left with several bottles on each visit. They offer a very nice charcuterie tray and also allow you to order food from one of the 4 or 5 restaurants within a block of Valley Vines and bring it back to the tasting room to enjoy with your wine. This is a very nice and much appreciated courtesy. ---We have now arranged for a private event at Valley Vines in August for our Boomers' Wine Bunch neighborhood social group and expect over 40 people to attend.
