Well-stocked and organized. The guy at checkout was friendly as well. The only negative was the pricing of a very popular liquor- Tito's vodka. The clerk told me it was "on sale" for $35. It's 27.99 at Total Wine. Now, I certainly don't expect them to match the price. But a $7 difference? And it was "on sale?" I bought 2 bottles, but probably won't return, even though I'd like to support local businesses. read more

Dang! This place is CHOCK FULL of stock! They have quite an extensive whiskey supply and a decent selection of store pick barrels. Sadly, nothing that I couldn't live without. Their beer selection was INSANE. They have SO MUCH craft beer that I found things I've never seen before. That doesn't happen often. Staff was nice enough too. Yeah, the prices are slightly higher but you have to expect that from a mom & pop shop compared to a regional or national sized store. read more

This place is definitely my go-to for liquor, especially when it comes to Bourbon. The selection is incredible and has more barrel picks under one roof than any other place I've ever been in to, and all of the ones I've tried so far have been great. Robin helped me out today, and she was extremely helpful and knowledgeable - I came in for one bottle, left with 3, and have zero regrets. These guys are great. Always a great selection on hand and knowledgeable and respectful employees that can make great suggestions if you're looking to try something new. Their prices are slightly high if compared to the larger stores like Total Wine and Specs, but that is totally acceptable when you consider their selection and how you are treated when you walk through their doors. Good selection though not overwhelming and excellent service. What else do you need from a liquor store?

I went in today to search for Everclear or something else with a high alcohol content to make some sanitizing wipes for a member of my women's group. She is undergoing chemo during a pandemic. She reached out to our group for Lysol spray, Clorox wipes, Lysol wipes, anything she can use to wipe down surfaces. We have searched, and none are available. Everything is going to hospitals and clinics, as it should. I asked Robin for help, and when she found out why I was looking for Everclear, she dug around managing to find some for me. In addition, they have a great selection of vodka and cordials. I don't drink much, but when I need anything I will shop at Empire Liquor. Thanks! read more

I love the Allen Empire. They always have the beer I'm looking for, and everyone I've encountered has been incredibly friendly and helpful. Today I did uber eats for Empire (I'd been driving around all day, just didn't want to make another stop.) and the app doesn't offer a ton of options for beer. I took a chance and asked for a substitute that I knew may be in stock. Even though there was a price difference of a couple bucks, they took care of me and subbed out the beer I wanted. First, Robin the manager was amazing. From out of town and was looking for allocated bourbon. I had just left Texas liquor, which is about 1 mile away, where the cashier wouldn't sell anything to me, because I wasn't a member of their point system and didn't have any points. Great customer service. Manager seems to know just about every customer it is very personable and the staff is quite approachable and willing to help. I rarely see stores trying to give you options even when the other night be cheaper and yet I witnessed this in multiple occasions.
