We come to this location about 1-2 times a year for a restock. Friendly staff and well stocked store. We've never had issues finding what we need and the large variety is appreciated if you're looking to try something g new. They have lots of vendors on the weekend if you're into sample events. read more

Total Wine throws fantastic sample events every weekend ... dozens of vendors practically begging you to try their spirits. We visited during the week leading up to Halloween!! The decor was fun, guests & staff were dressed in costumes that could rival a haunted house, lol! It's a blast to sip on samples and see people having fun!! We had an excellent experience at the Total Wine in Allen. We were able to get what couldn't get at our Total Wine on 75, and better service. Thanks & Cheers! read more

Was humiliated at checkout with my wife and her kids when they would not allow me to pay. I guess my kids need to carry ID in order for me to buy alcohol. Eventhough the sign outside says with parent/guardian. I am the parent and guardian. Absolute clowns. read more

I rotate thru liquor stores just as I do grocery stores. I've been trying to support small mom and pops lately but, it was time to revisit these guys. Am I happy I did. I made a special trip to Total Wine for Olive Brine. They had no olive juice or olive brine in the store even though they sell BarSmith products. Two aisles of vodka and no juice. I asked the management desk and she looked it up and it's not even an approved product. You need to do something about that Total Wine. I had to go to Specs. read more

Customer service is amazing! When we are there, we are greeted and asked if we need assistance from multiple people. They are helpful when things are on the shelf that we can't get to. And helpful in suggesting certain beverages. Prices are cheaper than we have found at any other liquor store around. They carry items that we can't find elsewhere! read more

Was denied service because of my barely expired DL, and was told it would be illegal to sell to me. According to TABC "A store, bar or restaurant chooses whether to sell alcohol to a person with an expired driver's license, a foreign passport or other ID. What's acceptable is a matter of that establishment's private business policies. If the customer is obviously over 21, the establishment may not require any ID." It's fine if you choose not to sell to me based off of business policy, but please don't mansplain Texas Law to me. Allen Liquor 4U was happy to sell to me and will be getting my business from here on out. read more

The guy who came up to me and my friends (who are all over 21) was extremely rude and was checking to make sure we all had our ids which we understand because we do look younger. He then asked two more times that we were over 21 and had our ids. However, when he asked if we were shopping for anything specific i said we were trying to be cost efficient and he replied and said yeah yall dont look like yall have established jobs... IM SORRY WHAT?!?? Going on to say my paralegal job was probably just "throwing out the trash" Despite our age we all work very hard in our careers and way too hard to be disrespected by someone who works at total wine.. to specs we go!! read more

Everything is awesome in this location. I love the cigar selections and they don't cost an arm and leg. Just awesome location & so close to home too. I would give it 5 starts but Gina the Spirits supervisor, didn't seem too thrilled in wanting give me a sample of the members marks or when I was asking her more information on it! read more

Good bourbon collection and nice people working in the store. I even found a rare Smoke Wagon at a reasonable price.

Fabulous selection and friendly / helpful staff. I love shopping here. Especially around the holidays, they had so many samples available. It helped me check off a few more gifts on my list. read more

This is the only....and I mean the ONLY place that sells my father's favorite beer!!! He's Retire military, & this is ALL he wants to drink!!! Michelob original lager is in low production, limited quantities & VERY hard to find. All of the total wines have it in their stock. No matter where I am in Dallas, at ANY of their stores, I make sure to load up. read more

This shop is set up just a little differently then some of the other stores. That's ok since this will be my new go to liquor store. I came on opening week and most of their staff is from other stores to help the new employees adjust. I received a free bag of items nice touch. It contained some magazines and a cork/cap remover. Also some coupons I'll never use valued at $50.00. I liked the bag best! They actually had my favorite whiskey in stock. I sure hope this is not a tease. I can't usually find my favorite of Wellers anywhere within the metroplex. Only time will tell. Because it's so convenient I will check in via phone to see if it's in stock. 2017/66 read more

Total Wine is my fave place to get adult treats. Although I hate the crowded area, Total Wine sits on the outskirts and away from the craziness. Employees are friendly and store well stocked. Love the website tells you what aisle a drink is located which saves me from browsing and spending. One day I will get around to trying one of their classes. Total fan of Total Wine! read more

Great location and usually not very busy, compared to other Total Wine stores. I can find everything I need just like the other ones. The parking was especially convenient. I stop here occasionally on the way home from work, which is more accessible than the Collin Creek location in Plano, because of the traffic and service road access. read more

This has been our liquor store of choice since they opened, but it's not primarily because of location. The staff is always helpful and the cashiers pleasant and accommodating. In stock has never been an issue. Today we had a delivery from the store and although it was prompt, there was an error. They pulled, and therefore delivered, the wrong item. I called the store and spoke with one of the managers, Randy. What he did to fix the error was absolutely above and beyond my expectations. Randy, it's quite obvious that you truly understand the importance of exemplary customer service. Thank you for taking care of the issue so quickly! I'll say hello the next time we're in your store- after the coronavirus is much less an issue! Thanks again!!!! read more

Great selection but wow employees are super rude. If you're 21+ but look young you'll be made to feel like you're doing something wrong when you check out. I went with my friend and we're both 21 but when we showed our ID's the cashier made a big deal about verifying our identification and management got involved asking us when our birthdays are and how old we are, holding up the line. I see why ID's are taken so seriously but I've been 21 since February and my friend turns 22 in a few weeks- they can be nicer to young adults (who are 21+ of course). Our vodka and "*ex on the Beach" shots were very good though. I wasn't aware of the policy about manager approval. I appreciate this being communicated to me and look forward to shopping there again in the future. read more

Looking for an item widely out of stock in the area. Hacked on line; said they had it in limited supply. Called the store; spoke with Angela. Told her what I was looking for. She went away and came back to report that they have 12 bottles. Great, I said; I'll be right up. Drove 15 minutes. Can't find it. Ask staff for help. Oh, yes they say...we've been looking for a missing case of that all day! All,day. 20 minutes earlier Angela reported that they have 12 bottles. I'm sure that she just checked her computer which showed one case in stock. Lazy. Where had Angela been as the other staff seemed to know that a case was missing? Angela should have gone to check since I called. Not good customer service. Next time will, insist that staff puts eyeballs on stock. read more

So, I came in right after they had their grand opening. I received a free 6 bottle wine tote and coupons for wine tasting classes. This store has all the things that "wow" me about a total wine. First, all the wines are by "grape". You can peruse the aisles of your favorite wines. I like Pinot Grigio. When you did find your favorite wine type you can find special tags that label staff picks or best selling brands. There are also tags that show special pricing. The liqueur section of the store is divided up by cordials. There is usually at least one associate on each aisle to point you in the direction of your beverage selection. Also, there are many distributors giving samples of their spirits. The beer selection is immense. Don't let this scare you, usually you can find an associate nearby. The hubby is always on the lookout for Franconia Maibock and a beer ambassador told me when it would be available. The checkout lines are short and there are plenty of boxes to safely tow your beverages purchases safely home. read more

Switched back to Texas based Specs. Tired of being harassed and thrown out of the store for not wearing a face diaper. They could care less.

This location is typically busy. Fully stocked and several associates ready to assist with helping you locate a beer, wine or cordial. I have several associates offer to assist me as I'm shopping which is helpful when I need suggestions. The beverages are cheaper than other stores. I do enjoy total wine for service and ambiance (which is funny to say for a liquor store). read more

For whatever reason I always feel like a criminal when I come in here. Why? Not because I'm a boozer, but because the staff is constantly watching you. Staring down the isles. Walking by slowly and checking to see if you've hid a liter bottle down your pants. There's only one thing in my pants, and it resembles a bottle at times, but not, I'm not stealing your liquor. Other than that, great prices! read more

Total Wine is awesome. I underestimated the size of this place; it's a liquor haven to say the least. There's a ton of variety and the layout was easy to follow. I especially loved that I could browse online, view if an item's in stock or running low, and know exactly which aisle I'd need to go to to find it. It's a seamless and simple experience. Even better, check out was a breeze. For a NYE visit, the lines weren't ridiculously long, the staff was knowledgeable and friendly, and I was able to be in and out in under 5 minutes. read more

You HAVE to work on your customer service!!! I had a similar experience as others. This was a while back. I went into the store with my son (who is 6'3- but 14 years old). Went to check out and the woman denied me service because my son didn't have his ID, so although I had my ID because my son didn't have an ID she wouldn't sell me the alcohol. It was embarrassing and I was made to feel as if I did something wrong. I totally could have made an issue of it but because my son was there I didn't. When I got out into the parking lot I called the manager and asked why did this happen he explained (as they have in other reviewers post) that they adhere to very strict guidelines as to how they ID people. He said even if someone under age were to come in and buy a soda we wouldn't even sell that to them. I said well I seen someone in there with their 5 year old son- the cashier didn't ID their child or expect him to have an ID. They still sold alcohol to that woman. He said weeeellll at times we leave it up to the cashiers discretion. Let me say, anytime you start leaving things like that up to someone's discretion I feel like it can become very problematic very quickly. I asked him if I came back in solo and bought the alcohol would that be an issue and he said no. The cashier that I went up to, to check out this time was very nice to the gentleman in front of me but as soon as she seen me her demeanor completely changed, she was very rude, didn't smile or greet me at all. I figured she thought I was some under aged girl trying to buy some alcohol. Until she seen my ID and seen how old I really was. It's unbelievable how rude adults can be when they think your a kid, but how quickly they're attitude changes when they find out you're almost FORTY years old. Look, I get it if your rules are to ID everyone. But there's a professional way to go about doing it- and here's an idea why don't you just ID everyone at the door???? Wouldn't that make more sense, than to wait until they're checking out to tell them you won't service them.m or make a huge seen about looking at their ID. And here's the kicker.....I've done pick up with you all twice before this incident and NEITHER times was I asked for my ID and my underaged children were with me one of those times. No ID was asked for them either. I'll never go back to this store- not because of the fact that you ID everyone it's how the situation was handled. DO BETTER!! read more

Very good selection of spirits and cigars. The price for beer and spirits were average and the cigars were very well priced.

Knowledgeable sales folks. Great wine classes. Organized and informative store layout.

Great selection, reasonably priced. Easy to get to from where my hotel was as well. Not much else to say.

Very disappointed with the handling of the mask situation. Alone at the back of the store and an employee came to not ask me if I needed help, but instead harassed me about me not wearing a mask. On December 29th, my boyfriend and I went to this location to buy a bottle of wine and whiskey. The gentleman that helped us locate the specific bottle of wine I was looking for was very helpful and knowledgeable about red wine. If it wasn't for the blatant disregard for quality customer service that follows, I would be posting a positive review for the selection available and helpful floor staff. We walked up to our cashier who asked for IDs. My boyfriend gladly provided his as he was the one purchasing. When asked for mine, I told her I wasn't buying anything and that I had not brought my ID in, but gave her my DOB. She then asked if we were married, as we're not, we said no. She then said she couldn't sell to us if I didn't have my ID. I've never had this problem before, but I understood the logic. We said ok, we'll be back with my ID. We go back inside, ask a different cashier if she could help us because we had just been in but I needed to grab my ID. She said politely said ok, and left to pick up the merchandise we planned to buy. A few minutes later a manager comes by and informs us that we had been "banned for 24 hours" because we were refused service. I had my identification and proof of age. No one said we'd be "banned" after we informed them we would be back. I've explained this situation to multiple people who all agree this entire situation was outrageous and poorly handled by management. If only I'd lied and said I was married, this wouldn't have happened. Shame on the both of us for being truthful and honest. I'm unbelievably disappointed in the service provided by management here. If you're thinking of stopping by for a nice bottle of wine, be sure you're with a spouse or have your ID! Even if you come back with proof you're "of age", you'll be banned. What a joke. read more
