Love the unique selections of alcohol that they have here. I'm always able to find special items that you normally wouldn't find at big chains like Specs or Total Wine. For example they offer Peach Mosacto (Mama Peach) and a lot of the special crown royal flavors and canned cocktails here. Staff is friendly, however on the day we went we were approached twice by two different staff members that did not wear masks. The cashier wore his mask though so if that's a big thing for you to consider this was my experience. Overall pleased with the unique selections of alcohol and friendly staff. Nicest people ever. Incredible selection of bourbon and wine in a quaint little shop. Their loyalty program gives everyone an opportunity to get rare bottles at retail and prevents flippers from scooping up everything. Get mad about it if you want, but go find some of these bottles on the secondary. Bradley at the Allen location is one of the most knowledgeable bourbon/whisky enthusiasts I've ever known. I am outside of this area but needed to get a bottle delivered to a customer. I was able to speak with the manager who was extremely nice and even called me back to make sure my order went through after some user confusion with the website. The delivery was a lot faster than I was expecting as well! Great business, great team. Side note: I initially tried to get this down through some of our biggest chains and no luck. Overall, a nice option to have in the neighborhood. Good news: a nice selection of booze and wine, especially considering that it is not a big box store. They had Ukrainian vodka on hand today, which I of course bought instead of Russian Standard (i didn't notice whether they stock Russian Standard). Also, the location is very good. Bad news: Like some other reviewers, I'm not a fan of the points system. But the employees aren't pushy about it, and it's his business so he can run it however he wants. Capitalism! But the bottle of wine I bought (Rombauer Chard) was marked at 39.99, yet rung up at $44. I was in a hurry and didn't have time to ask about it. If this was just an honest mistake, no worries, I've made plenty of my own. But if you have to be a member to get the marked prices, that is misleading. I'm hoping is was just a mistake. I've tried to give this place my business on multiple occasions. The selection isn't terrible, a bit overpriced when you consider there is a Total Wine and Specs both within a five minute drive and you can find pretty much everything they're willing to sell you at those places. The biggest reason to avoid this place is the owner's asinine point system even worse the condescending employees who feel the need to talk down to their customers. They do have on hand hard to find bottles, but only use them as decorations since they are part of their ridiculous point system. For example, you get one point per dollar you spend and have to accumulate so many points to be allowed to buy a nice bottle of whatever. The problem is you have to literally spend anywhere from $1000 to $12,000 (yes $12,000 is correct) on other stuff before you're allowed to buy a nice bottle that is still priced over MSRP. read more

Stopped by here for my second time today. Had dropped in about 2 weeks ago when they will still putting shelves up but team there were incredibly nice and helpful. Today was their "official" grand opening. Store had quite a few customers, place was clean and well-organized and owner and family were working. They were so friendly. They really had a good variety of brands... I was in to grab some vodka and bourbon and I was able to find everything very easily. Prices as competitive as the big box box stores but I'm happy to be supporting this local store in the neighborhood. Oh, and did I mention they were offering free BBQ and drinks today? They sure will allow Drizzly to process the order but you call LK and they state otherwise. LK needs to get their act together with this delivery service. Frustrating and will never walk in again. I ordered some liquor for delivery this week and had a terrific experience. I was trying to find a few specific bottles and in Chicago (where I live) I was having no luck. But my in-laws live in McKinney and after finding the bottles I wanted at Liquor King AND confirming they were offering them for super reasonable and fair prices, I arranged to have them delivered to my in-laws. Amy and the other staff members I talked to were super helpful, personable, and pleasant. We hit a couple small snags during the delivery process and Amy made it clear she would personally see to it that everything got cleared up - she did and even managed to find me ANOTHER bottle I was interested in along the way. I've never been to this store and am any thing but a loyal customer considering I don't even live in the state, but I was treated like a VIP by the staff here and was thrilled with the experience. Now my in laws have 3 bottles of whiskey to bring with when they come to visit and I'm excited to see them...and my whiskey! read more

This is a pretty cool store, have a great selection of Bourbons and everybody that works there is super cool and friendly and knowledgeable. My issue with this store is that I've already spent 500 dollars, So I have about 500 points, but for the allocated items are so overpriced on points that I'll never be able to really get anything here that I want. For example, if I want a antique collection bottle or the pappy 23 I'd have to spend $12,000 before I could even buy it. And at that price of points I can buy 3 to 4 pappy 23's online. Love the store and I would spend even more money there if I felt like something allocated was actually attainable. Wish the owner would work with me a little bit read more
