My first visit, and I had a laundry list of items to pick up. The staff was very helpful and pleasant, which helps because the selection is large and the layout of the sections wasn't super clear. The spirits are well labeled - and they look cool! - but inside the aisle is is less clear. Selection was spotty. They have some great bottles: I found an Appleton 15 and an El Dorado 18, plus an Old Grand Dad 114, but they didn't have not-from-concentrate lime juice, Falernum, or passion fruit syrup. And some of their prices were outlandish - 25% above nearby shops - and some were reasonable. So, a good place to go with a nice staff, but be careful to know what you should be paying. read more

7/11/23: Been meaning to check this place out, and was pleasantly surprised. The store was very well organized and clean. They had a top shelf behind the counter with allocated stuff, but you have to earn points through purchases before being able to purchase them. Instead of a lottery, customers are rewarded for making purchases. If you have enough points for an allocated item, you can purchase it. I met Nag, who was very friendly and knowledgeable. I discovered some brands that I was blissfully unaware of, and had a great shopping experience. There was plenty of parking at the shopping center, and it's very easy to get to. This store is amazing! They always have great specials and sale items. These guys are knowledgeable and well versed on every product they sell. The store recently had a huge makeover. The city of Allen approved, actually the voters ofapproved the sale of liquor. About time we started keeping the sale of spirits in our city. For years all of the sales were going to Plano, Dallas, and other surrounding communities. Not anymore! About time it was put to the vote and have enough support! This store has only been open less then a week and is having its soft opening. I was truly surprised by their selections of whiskeys. They actually had Wellers on the shelf. Can't always find that particular brand, was nice to see them have some in stock. Price was a little steep. But they are new so in time I imagine the price will go down. Worst liquor store in Collin County! The staff is incredibly rude and they refuse to sell their higher end products unless you spend thousands of dollars on other crap in the store. There are so many other liquor stores in the area, both small and large that treat their customers with the respect that these guys clearly never learned. These folks do not deserve your business. Avoid this store unless you are looking to get ripped off and treated like garbage. I really hope the better run stores in the area are able to force these hacks out of business. If you're the owner, I've seen people at your 121 location treat people like crap in front of you, but thanks for responding when shock and surprise. I have always had a great experience every time I have been to the Liquor King in Allen on Greenville. Everyone seems to love them except a couple of people that left negative reviews. Reading the reviews, I was thinking "this is a liquor store; what are people expecting them to do?" Realistic expectations can go a long way toward avoiding dissatisfaction. I live close to Greenville store and about once a month buying bottle of vodka for $14.99+tax=$16.23. This price was last time on Sep 21, 2020. Next time (Oct 21, 2020) it was $16.55. I notice it at home. Today, Nov 17, 2020 I asked employee about extra $0.32. It was "Non-Cash Adj total". I said to employee (he is very nice and professional man) that some businesses based on returning customers but others on one time rip off. His answer was very polite, correct and professional. He said that it was decision of owner and he values my view. I said, that my view about I will express on You Tube. Then he gave me $0.32 back and said,- thank You for shopping with us. Perfect. He did very good. I understand, that business paid to Visa for each transaction. But it was included in price. For example, Total Wine charging for same item $2.01 less. But owner decided to charge even more. He can do that. And I can BOYCOTT his business. And can recommend that to others on You Tube for example. Very small store so sizes were limited. They did have what I wanted though. Checking out took longer than I expected and since I was the only one in line, I'm not sure why it took so long. There were quite a few people in the store but being close to the holidays, that wasn't a surprise. read more
