We did a walk-in on a Saturday night, and luckily the wait wasn't too long, even though the place was busy. The restaurant has an old-fashioned, family-casual vibe that feels welcoming right away. Once we were seated, it didn't take long for our server to come by and take our order. Everyone seemed to be enjoying their food: we saw someone at the table next to us was literally savoring his burger, eyes closed, taking it all in. We started with their famous honey pepper bacon appetizer, and we all enjoyed it. You can definitely taste the honey and the pepper, and they work really well together. The only thing that would've made it even better for me is if the bacon was crunchier (I'm a crunchy bacon kind of person). The chili soup was also good, just a bit too spicy for my taste. My hubby ordered the Mama's pork chop and loved every bite. I really liked the fried okra that came with it you can tell it was freshly sliced, with just the right amount of breading. The mashed potatoes were good too, nice and creamy, topped with gravy. For drinks, I ordered the fall sangria. It was okay, but the flavor was a little different than what I'm used to. It was almost like it had a splash of spritzer in it. For dessert, we tried the vanilla bean ice cream with honey pepper bacon, and wow, that was surprisingly good. The crunchy bacon with a little spice paired really well with the smooth vanilla ice cream. Our server, Jacob, was great. He was attentive, friendly, and very sociable. Lunch: The Ceasar salad was WELL dressed and came with extra dressing. The best I have ever tasted. The Romain greens were plentiful w very few ribs. The deep fried avocado was a nice warm surprise. I added a little salt because avocado in any form always needs salt. The tortilla Soup had a cheese broth whereas an enchilada soup is usually Broth based. It was a bit spicy and was good. This was honestly one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences we've had in a long time--and especially surprising because we've been coming to Two Rows in Allen for years. Our family has a tradition of celebrating birthdays with Sunday lunch, and today my niece chose this location. We brought a cake (as we've done many times before at various restaurants, including here) and even brought our own plates, forks, and serving utensil so we wouldn't inconvenience the staff. We were told there would be a $2 per person fee to bring in the cake--$24 for our group of 12. That was more than the cake itself. The manager confirmed this was the owner's policy, even though we weren't asking for any service. At that point, we chose to leave. A birthday celebration shouldn't come with that kind of nickel-and-diming. We went to another nearby restaurant (Matt's) instead and had a completely different experience--welcoming, accommodating, and actually appreciative of our business. They even offered plates for the cake without hesitation. After years of being customers, this policy--and the unwillingness to apply any common sense or flexibility--was enough for us to walk out. Wagyu sirloin had perfect seasoning along with grilling. Wagyu beef tastes noticeably different because its genetic makeup creates superior marbling. The steak originates from several locally raised cattle in Melissa, Texas, a fact that makes it even more special. Exceptionally tender, richly juicy and brimming with flavors. Savory Merlot mushrooms and expertly prepared, fresh seasonal vegetables perfectly complemented the dish. The plate's elements complemented each other beautifully. After seeing this multiple times in a local FB group for having the best fried mozzarella cheese sticks we had to give it a try. It did not disappoint and I feel the menu is so extensive. The hardest part is narrowing it down to just a few things. Since we came for the cheese we decided to split a pizza. They were very open to splitting the pizza in two to appease both my daughter and me. We went 1/2 meat and 1/2 Margherita. The pizza was cooked perfectly. Save your money and find another place. I know people that have worked there and they say some pretty sketchy things about the owners and practices. The service depends on what day you go on. Watch your feet when you walk in the front door, the floor is slick and many people, including myself have fallen as you walk in front of their pizza oven. Ask for their Wagyu Certificate. Every restaurant should have one if they are advertising selling Wagyu. read more

After a long drive from Kansas City, we wanted a simple meal in the hotel room with the kids. We were directed to Two Rows by my husband who is an avid traveller and self proclaimed foodie. He was on point..the service over the phone was so friendly and helpful, the food was ready in 15 minutes as promised, and it was SO good. We ordered a margarita pizza, Cesar salad and just had to try the honey peppered bacon (so worth it!). The hotel was right next door so was a convenient walk over and back after being in the car all day..it was so nice not to have to get back in the car!! This little place is definitely worth going to. I imagine any of their pizzas will be delicious (toppings were all fresh) and the salad was crispy and COLD!! :). The chicken fried steak is the best you'll eat anywhere. And you won't find better onion rings anywhere either. They're so good, I can't eat onion rings anywhere, but Two Rows. Now, we're regulars, we order pickup from there a couple of times a month. I've also had their pepperoni pizza and tried their mushroom/Swiss burger. Both were equally awesome. These guys will go above and beyond for their customers. Our fridge had died, at one point, when we had ordered pickup. When we got home, I opened up my burger, to put all the fixins on it and there weren't any at all. They had forgotten to pack the lettuce, tomatoes and onions for my burger. I called them up and told them my predicament. I mentioned that our fridge was down, so I didn't have any veggies of my own and that I was too tired to come back up there, to get them. So the manager says, he'll just run them over to our house! WHAT?! Yep, he got my fixins and drove them to my house! He even threw in some of their famous bacon, as a bonus! I was excited when I saw a seafood pasta dish that included crawfish, farfalle, and alfredo sauce, which are all in my list of favorite things. we have been regulars at this restaurant for several months with. no issues. Last Friday nite I contracted food poisoning from eating a burger. I contacted the owner and informed him of this and all he wanted to say this was their most popular item and no one else had contacted him about being sick. I explained to him that I didn't care if anyone else had called but I was informing him of this.
