Total Wine has been my "go to" since I moved back to Dallas from San Francisco. They have the largest selection of wine and spirits at the best prices and I love the curbside pickup option. They even carry some hard to fine wines that I fell in love with on my frequent trips to the wine country. They also offer delivery through DoorDash which I've used many times. The great thing about that is that they don't up-charge their items like most liquor stores do (you do have to pay the usual service fees and tip of course). The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and are there to help you find the best wine, beer or spirits just for you. They have lots of free tastings, mostly on the weekends. Big store with lots of options for not just wine but liqour and beer too. Recently I noticed they even started carrying thc drinks too. The staff is very friendly and if there's anything you want to try before buying, they usually have roating free tastings of liqours and wines and beers every week! Just make sure you bring your ID! We drove all the way to this specific Total Wine because they carry one of our favorite wines, Harvey & Harriett, a red blend. Try it, it's delicious for under $20. Couldn't find it but the app said they carried it. Couldn't find anyone to wait on us so I went to the front desk to ask where specifically it was located, since we are not real familiar with this store. Dave told me they didn't carry it. I also asked if they had another red blend called Disciples? Dave was very irritated with me, more than before he said no to that one also. I got an email that said I could get $2 off Irish cream if I activated it so I did (said up to 6 bottles) went to store bought 2 bottles no discount on my bill, clerk said you'll have to talk to a manager. I was accused of being intoxicated to buy alcohol today. Mind you I come into the store very frequently and don't have any problems, but for some reason you're associate had their eyes all on me even when I was going to the bathroom. They were dishonest and stated that there were people watching me in the bathroom When I literally just use the restroom. The associate was like they could not serve me any alcohol or I could not buy any alcohol because they said that I was intoxicated. I was not causing any disruption in this store whatsoever to give that oppression. The associate himself was following me throughout the store as I was trying to shop which was very stalkish. The gentleman at the front allowed me to buy my alcohol and apologize. I was highly offended by this whole incident as I never would expect myself to go through something like this. I hope that your store manager can address this issue and look at the cameras. Also, I had submitted a complaint to the TABC to make sure that this issue is addressed. read more

We needed to replenish a couple of spirits that have dwindled recently, and wanted to pick up a nice red wine to go with the brisket that just came off the smoker. So, we knew that Total Wine was the correct destination. Karen was more than helpful in helping us pick out a good Cabernet Sauvignon to pair up with our entre. Sometimes it can be overwhelming looking for a specific bottle of something. Have no fear - just ask one of the friendly employees what you are looking for. I had a picture of several different brands of bourbon that I was looking for. The nice lady looked it up on her hand held device and showed me where it would be if they had it. While they didn't have what I was looking for this trip, I did appreciate the great customer service. I ended up buying some gift cards and they had a great selection of card designs to choose from. While normally this is a store I enjoy roaming around in. This last visit was a real let down. To start off at the door they single out people who have not been vaccinated to wear masks. Just ask all people to wear masks or encourage people to wear masks, don't pariah people who have not be vaccinated for one reason or another. This really bothered me. The store was laid out differently from the last visit and the normally fun specialty section of unique root beers and other flavored craft non alcoholic section was pitiful and looked no different than targets beverage section. My son who loves getting these as a treat was really upset. Prices are usually always a good deal or at least comparable to local competition. One highlight was the andrews merchandising gentleman who took a few minutes to see my son in his baseball uniform and talk to him about his game and how he did. That man was a really kind soul! We enjoyed the tasting area for the beers, but the wine tasting area was not covered so nothing new to try yesterday. All in all it was just under and OK trip to one of my favorite stores....please if the managers read this, change the sign to either require all who enter to wear masks or encourage, but not require masks to be worn. To single people out is a crappy way to start a shopping experience. I really am not a specs fan, but that was very off putting. read more

I won't ever recommend anyone going to Total Wine. I was going to get a bottle of Tres Generaciones tequila and I saw that they had new bottle that I have never tried before. I saw that the price was $55.99 and so I took it. I get to the register and the price came out to $84.99. I questioned the price to the cashier and I let her know that price on the shelf was $55.99. She allowed me to go and take a picture of it. I get back to the register, I show the cashier, and the supervisor. The supervisor said that she was going to check the shelf and the showed up with her. The manager comes to me and says that, we can't honor the price because the price tag doesn't match the product. If you can read it says so here" Then I respond with, "it was stocked there. I didn't move it. You can check the camera footage" I can already tell that the manager and supervisor profiled me as if I did something wrong. The manager's tone was accusatory towards me with the comment he made, "if you can read.." Their team stocked it there, why are they acting like i made the mistake? The negative racial undertones were present when the manager spoke to me. I didn't raise my voice but I did catch an attitude because I didn't appreciate being accused of not being able to read and getting blamed for a mistake that was clearly on their part. read more

We were shopping for a value price point sparkling (less than $20) for a large milestone birthday gathering for my father. We had tried another bottle at an area warehouse retailer and didn't like it. Not wanting to do the trial and error thing, we headed to Total Wine. We've purchased wines and some liquor in the past at this location. To be fair, those experiences have been pretty good. I know that the holiday season is super-busy, but I felt like I was just in the way of other things for most of the employees in the store. There was only one guy who was restocking who actually seemed to care about the importance of our special event. He was not an expert in sparkling, so he deferred to the other employees who just seemed focused on getting ready for the afternoon rush. We were told we could come back at 2:00 to sample sparkling wines but could be guaranteed that we could taste the ones we were looking at. I feel for store employees getting ready for a huge rush, but it doesn't win my loyalty when employees are camped out elsewhere trying to catch more high dollar liquor sales. Making me (or anyone) feel like my business isn't valued is a way to lose a customer. I went about two miles away to a competitor on Parker and got stellar customer service and input from a wine expert who really tried to help us find the right bottle. We bought 11 bottles of sparkling plus an extra special bottle for my husband and me based on recommendation while we were there. A $400 sale may not be much to Total Wine, but it's about more than the cost to me. Wine is personal and having the right folks helping us choose the right bottle for the right occasion is important. Total wine just really fell short for me today. I will never be a high volume customer for them, so if I choose to purchase there ever again, it will be infrequently. We have always enjoyed buying our wine and spirits at this location. Today, when we arrived, the back tire on our Bronco, struck a razor and started losing air very quickly. We moved the truck to the back of the parking lot to change the tire. A team member attempted to back his white truck (license plate starting with TDB...) into the parking space directly next to our car where we were changing the tire. We told him, nicely, that we were changing a flat tire. His reply was that he has always parked in that spot and that he has parked in the same spot for three years. He also told us that the tire didn't look flat to him, and continued to try and park in the spot facing the flattening tire we told him we were changing. Instead of moving away from us, he moved his car into the spot directly on the other side of our car. There were tons and tons of parking spots he could have moved to. Instead, he chose to be rude and inconsiderate. We just spent $100 on tequila in his store, and this is the way he treats his customers. I have learned that people who are rude outside of the store will also be rude and inconsiderate inside of the store. Therefore, I will no longer be shopping at this location. I am shocked that any human being would not be compassionate when seeing people changing a flat tire. The fact that he worked at the store we had just shopped at was inexcusable. read more

But having used Total Wine for a banquet now, I can testify to that side of their store as well. Their staff is helpful, works with your budget, offers great advice, and will set up a tasting for you and your colleagues. I truly felt like I got the royal treatment from the second I walked in a was promptly greeted while a huge hello and was asked if I was looking for anything specific! Dave and Allan quickly jumped to my requests and took me down the red wine isle where the selection is so huge, whatever you are looking for you will find it here. Price points from $,$$ & $$$ which is awesome! I quickly was greeted by Nicholas too who loves wine, he works at TWM as well! Nicholas recommend a pretty cool wine that I ended up purchasing! You really can't go wrong with a name called "Happy Camper". Happy Camper is so delicious and smooth! I will for sure be returning here to try the many more wines they offer! Cool fun fact: there is a wine bar right in front of the red wine section! On a few week nights and Saturday, samples of a variety of wines are given for customers to try!
